"My friend moved to WellQuest of Granite Bay. We chose it because of the amenities and the newness of the place. It's only 2 or 3 years old. Her apartment is spacious for a studio. My friend shared with us that she likes the food. The facility is very clean. The staff is very efficient from the moving coordinator to the marketing director. Their base rate was good. We were pleased with it."

"I will move into Sequoia Grove Gracious Retirement Living. It's new, very bright, and cheerful, and the apartments were good size. The staff was very friendly. I met some of the residents, and they, too, were very friendly. I had a meal there, and the food was good. I liked the fact that they have their meals at regular times."

"I went to Summerset Senior Living - Rancho Cordova. I liked the size of the rooms and the way they were laid out. If you wanted two people in a room, there were separate bedrooms with a common area in between. The tour guide was very nice. She took me through the whole place. She showed me all the amenities and the main eating room. She was very helpful. The facility was very clean and easy to maneuver. I thought it was very nice. I felt very comfortable when I walked in the front door. There was activity in the foyer, which told me that a lot of visitors come in there. The lady offered me a cup of coffee while I was waiting for the tour guide. I was very impressed with it."

"I went to Cogir of Stock Ranch Senior Living. The whole place looked rather vibrant and had a lot of space for game playing and watching TV. The apartment was a one-bedroom and the living room was of reasonable size. Some of these places look so tiny after living in a house, but this one looked more spacious than I had seen before. The main director of the facility was great. I think the person that usually gives the tours was not there. I was looking at their schedule of activities. They have a lot of board games. They do have movies that look nice. They said something about card games. The dining room was very pretty. It looked over the outdoors and all in all, so far, I would say this was one of my favorite places."

"My father moved into The Terraces of Roseville. It has the best and largest dog park. When I would go at different hours, I would always hear laughter in the dining room. I found it to be very homey, and you can adapt your room to your taste. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. They have bingo, and it's led by the residents. They have a lot of fun with it."

"My mother will be moving into Roseville Commons. It was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. They welcomed us to actually have a meal there. The food was very good. It's a great location, very convenient to lots of things in the neighborhood. It's a well-run operation. The building itself is not new. I've seen other places and this goes far and beyond what I've previously seen at other places."

"Atria Carmichael Oaks is great. The food is good and they have three meals a day, seven days a week. They have free cable for the room, laundry and housekeeping services once a week, and transportation several times a week to appointments and shopping and other errands. The amenities are really good and the actual apartment and size are nice. The assisted living wing is newer than the independent living, so it's a little bit nicer. The atmosphere is nice and the people are friendly. The majority of them were on walkers and wheelchairs, but they weren't just sitting around. They have quite a bit of activities. Everybody on staff has been great. My father-in-law likes everybody who works there except a driver who isn't really good with appointments."

"Winding Commons had the same amenities, but they had a mentor program. If somebody is new, they will provide a mentor, like somebody who has been there for awhile, to help them get used to the place and get them acquainted with people. I thought that was cool because for people who move in, it is a new start. They're trying to make them feel part of the family there, so I thought that was nice. Otherwise, everything was the same as other communities. The place was beautiful and had an area where you can walk around outside, like a courtyard with a fountain, a walkway, and a bridge. "

"Bear Hollow Estates Gracious Retirement is very clean. The people are just wonderful. The food is excellent. The activities are well thought out and well planned. My interaction with the staff is awesome. They have just got a pair of new live-in managers. They have been there before, but already they feel like they have got to know everybody. They are very friendly and very helpful, and they are making sure our accommodations are met. They're just awesome. My apartment is a studio. It has a kitchenette, and it's quite spacious. If I have a critic on it, it would be storage. It doesn't seem to have enough storage, but then again, I'm coming from a house and downsizing into a small apartment. It's no trouble, it's just that I'm not used to it. My apartment is about the size of my living room. However, they provide three meals per day. They have a coffee bar. There is coffee 24 hours a day, and the snack bar is open. Everything is just wonderful. They have a library, a game room, an exercise room, a community room, and a theater. It just has more than you would expect from a place like that."

"The food has improved a lot since the new chef has come on board. I especially liked the shrimp salad and almond cake that I had last Tuesday.. It was all very tasty. There are lots of new dishes that I enjoy and they are very tasty. The Staff is very nice and they are very accommodating. I have lived here over a year and like it here. "

"Ponte Palmero is a very nice facility. I toured their independent living, and it's very pretty. The apartments were nice and bigger, but you had to walk quite a bit from the apartment to the dining room. It was covered, but it was still out in the weather, which would have been hard for me. It was also a little pricey. The staff members were very friendly and very accommodating. I tasted their food and it was okay. It wasn't great, but it also wasn't bad. The building was very clean and very well-maintained."

"Ivy Park at Roseville is a wonderful place for a senior that is physically more active. My mom had a lot of activities that she was involved with. She played bridge and she played bingo. They offered different excursions. They had people coming in. They had movies in the great room. They had a wonderful, beautiful apartment. The caregivers there were excellent. Just wonderful, kind, patient, good people. It was a good place, but it wasn't fulfilling the needs that my mother had as she aged this past year. She needed more attention, and Ivy Park isn't as equipped to give that kind of intense attention. The people who worked directly with the residents were excellent. My mother was always very pleased with the food. I really liked the way the apartments were designed. They had a number of different options that were available. There were studio apartments, one-bedroom apartments, and two-bedroom apartments, and we chose a one-bedroom for my mother. I liked it because she wasn't sitting in her bedroom during the day. She had this really nice little living room with a balcony, and she enjoyed that a lot. Plus there was a little kitchenette area that was set off nicely away from the living room area, but there was a little like pony wall between the kitchenette and the living room. It felt more like a real apartment and not like a big hotel room. It was very, very nice. It seemed expensive though."

"I was impressed with Atria El Camino Gardens. They're in a superior location. Their amenities are wonderful. They have a full service on just about everything. They have a library, an entertainment theater, exercises for the residents if they want it, good security, good housekeeping, and private gardens if people want to get outside and sit on a patio. They have just about everything you possibly could think of. Their food service is amazing. Their staff is amazing, too. The rooms and everything about them is a high rating for me."
