Atria Rocklin was gorgeous. Everybody was nice. It was lovely. They showed us everything that they were doing. The staff was very nice and very informative. The tour person was great. Their dining area was beautiful.

Atria Rocklin was nice. They asked questions about things that I didn't think of, and they also addressed the fact that based on my mother's needs, they might not be able to help her. And that's what I'm looking for, that people be honest and not take somebody in when they're not ready to take care of them. So they were like, 'We may not be able to take care of your mom, so you may not want to come here.' And that's what I'm looking for. I want people to tell me that, and so I like them. They were super honest. Very nice. It's a single story which is good for older people. No stairs or elevators are required. It's laid out in a pattern that's easy for people to navigate. There's a lot of socialization and there's a lot of opportunities for physical exercise like exercise in groups or singly. And even though I did not eat there, the restaurant was very nice and well set up.

We toured Atria Rocklin. It seemed small and intimate. We enjoyed Nate, who was our tour guide. He talked to us about everything. He was very warm and welcoming. The residents were great. They let us go into their units to look at the units, so everything about it was great. The units were nice. They were spacious, clean, and well-designed. We thought they were good for the situation. We saw a couple of exercise classes. They had a full calendar, so it looked like they offered a lot of things for the residents. There are a wide variety of things for them to do. They showed us all their amenities. I thought about what we were looking for, it was perfect because it wasn't overwhelming. Everything was close by. For our situation, it was the perfect fit because there wasn't too much. It was pretty intimate and small and approachable for my mom.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I've been here at Atria Rocklin for 2 weeks now, and I'm very comfortable here and will stay here. There are extremely friendly residents and staff here, and I'm pretty impressed with that. The food here is good. I make my breakfast and lunch in my room, and then I have dinner in the dining room. I've already joined the book club, and they have Bible study. They also have a weekly church service. They've got all kinds of card games regularly and they have coffee chat hours. It's constant. You couldn't possibly go to everything because there are so many. They have a beauty shop. A lot of people here go to the beauty shop and they like it. I'm in a 1-bedroom apartment now with a small kitchen, but I'm moving to a 2-bedroom apartment in a couple of months with a full kitchen and a garage. My apartment has its own washing machine and dryer. But those in assisted living, have a laundry service. There is a cleaning service every week for everybody.

We toured Atria Rocklin. It's very homey and very warm. I like the setup of the apartment and the idea of the front door being outside with the little gardens in front of your door. The food was fine. You get one meal a day, but you can pay an extra $100 a month and get another meal with breakfast or lunch, whatever you prefer. Everything is included. The housekeeper comes in, changes the bed, and washes the sheets.

We visited Atria Rocklin and that seemed like a very nice community. Had it been over here on this side, closer to our home, it would have been well in contention with the other facility. But it's too far away for us, that's why we didn't pick it. They had very nice room size. They have kitchenettes, and they have nice large rooms. They were on the larger size, and from the cost standpoint, they were right within our range of what we wanted. The facilities were very nice, just everything about it. They even had independent living across the street that looked very nice. They all had their own apartments across the street and they were separated from the assisted living. They had a different dinner time. We saw the menu, but we didn't have the food. They had a movie room, and they had a nice deck off their dining area that you could go out to. What I like about that place was it was all one story. They had the hair salon, and they had the activities room. They had bingo, and they had a lot of things like that. They had it all. I saw ladies doing Zumba in there. They had a nice activity room and nice activities. They had more stuff you could do outside, too. They had dogs there, too, so there are little courtyards.

Provider Response

Hi Linda, Thank you for visiting with us. It was our pleasure to show you and your family our community. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

The tour experience I had at Atria Rocklin was good. I really liked the salesperson, Diane, and my mother loved the place. She fell in love with it during the tour and decided, at that point, that that's where she wanted to be. She's now in their assisted living. She liked that it had a pool and she just liked the place. She's happy with the price too. I have tasted their food, because I had dinner there twice, and it was good. No complaints on that. Of course, I'm not eating every meal there. It's a lot different with my mom because sometimes she complains a bit, but she would complain no matter where she was. Her room is very spacious. The bedroom is small, but that was OK with us because my mom is not one to spend a lot of time in her bedroom. The living space is very nice and spacious. It works great for us because my mom uses a scooter and she can literally drive her scooter around in her apartment, which is nice. One thing my mom doesn't like is that the bathroom is located on the other side of the kitchenette, so it's not right next to the bedroom. She complains about that all the time. It's hard for her to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The place is very clean. There is a pool, but it's not open yet. She also really doesn't do a lot, but I think it's a good value for the money.

I went to tour Atria Rocklin. It's very similar to what I experienced at the other facility except it's a smaller facility. The one thing I liked about them is that it is a single story, so there isn't a need for elevators or stairs or anything. They offer all the same kinds of amenities as far as dining and availability of people to come in and work with them like physical therapy. The staff was helpful. It smelled good. It was clean, warm, and there was a homey feel to it, but also a little more upscale than just walking into a simple nursing home. It was nice. It's a place that if you were living there, I think you would feel like you were living in a nice, elegant place. It was pretty. They have a salon, they do provide religious services, they have a recreation room, and they have nice grounds. Their grounds were nice, and I just loved the people there. As the staff was walking me through, she was greeting all of the guests, and they all knew her. Everybody is known by name; she knows all the rest of the staff by name, and that says a lot. There's a familiarity. I asked her how long she'd been there, and she says, 'I've been here 12 years and I love it here.' It was nice.

I went to Atria Rocklin. I think they're all very expensive, but it's very nice. The rooms were very nice and good sized. I have nothing bad to say about it. The employees were very nice. They didn't have a gym, if you want to do a little workout. They do group workouts, but I know my grandfather wouldn't do that. They definitely had a courtyard or two. Their cleanliness was perfect. It's less than 2 miles from my house. It's not too far from the hospital, within 10 miles.

The memory care rooms at Atria Rocklin were a little bit larger than the others; however, you had to go to the shower down the hall. I just didn't care for that. When I was there, the residents were just sitting around with the television on. Some of them were sleeping. There wasn't much activity going on that day. They just had a great big center area where the television was with lots of chairs or couches. I just didn't have too much of a good feel about it; but they got all three levels of care, and it was a clean place.

I enjoyed my visit at Atria Rocklin. The staff was very helpful and everybody was friendly. It was very clean compared to some of the places I've been in Las Vegas. I would like to attend there if I can afford it. I like that place. I enjoyed the view there and the garage. The staff was very nice, pleasant, and easy to talk to. Everything was functional towards the residents, and I had a good time in there. It was good.

I toured Atria Rocklin, and I thought it was a very lovely place, but I didn't think it was a good match for my husband. He has dementia, and it just seemed a little too fancy for him. I thought it was a fine facility, and I was impressed with that, but that's not what I'm looking for. It just wasn't what I was looking for, and it was farther than I wanted to go. The one who assisted me was very knowledgeable and very good. I felt like she answered any questions I had, and she was appropriate.

I moved into Atria Rocklin, and it's very nice to have a larger unit than what I had before. I have a garage, a pool, an indoor laundry unit, and a full kitchen, but what I really like is when you open the door, you don't go in the hallway like you do in a hotel -- you're outside. All the doors open to the outside and there's a walkway. We have very nice grounds, and the people are just very wonderful. The bus driver came by to deliver something, and said, "I just wanted to introduce myself." That doesn't happen in any place I've been. Everybody's been excellent and very considerate of all the clients here. You only get dinner here if you're in independent living. I could buy other meals, but I don't want to.

We toured Atria Rocklin and it was a very nice place. We were able to see the room. Other than the size, it was nice. I think it had a pool, a small one. The staff was very kind, although I didn't have much communication with them. It was very clean and very well kept. It was also a very good location. It's close by our daughter. It was a spacious community.

My sister-in-law will move into Atria Rocklin. So far our experience has been very good with people we talked to and worked with. We saw the people in the dining room, but we did not eat there. The facility seemed very nice. They play games, word games, do crafts, listen to music, and they have a big living room with TV. They keep them pretty active and out of their room.

I am a current client of this provider

My experience living with Atria Rocklin has been varied, but most of the time I'm very pleased. Except for the buffet on Sundays, the food is very mediocre. I think the maintenance here is wonderful, they're so good at fixing anything that needs to be fixed and does a wonderful job. I have a one-bedroom here and it's fine. It's well-maintained, although I had to add some extra storage space like shelves, closets, and hangers. There's very little storage in the kitchen area, so my daughter bought a cupboard so I have more room for silverware. Their dining area is just fine, but I'm a little disappointed that I have to go and eat at 7:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. I'm used to having dinner at 5:30 or 6:00 p.m.; 4:30 is just so early to eat. The food is not well-balanced and they have very slow waiters and waitresses.

Provider Response

LA, We're thrilled to hear you're happy at Atria Rocklin. Thank you for the compliments of our maintenance department. Your feedback on our culinary service is important to us. We take pride in offering quality food options and appreciate your feedback.

Atria Rocklin was a favorite. Everybody was nice, and the facility was great. It was more of what my mom was looking for, but it was too far from my house. They had individual apartments, which we thought would be easier for my mom, and a garage. The people were friendly.

We chose Atria Rocklin for Dad. It’s very nice, and the layout is a little difficult, but I think it’s supposed to be that. It’s been very nice, and they have him ready when we need to pick him up. We get him out three times a week. The dining area is nice, but the food is not fresh, and that’s the only thing I don’t like. He’s provided continuous activities all day long. His room has a bed, couch, TV, a table and two chairs, a bathroom with commode only, and a closet. It’s larger than most rooms.

The atmosphere at Atria Rocklin was beautiful and warm. It was a good place. I would still give it a high rating. I saw out where you can see in the common room some residents there absolutely just giggling and laughing, like very infectious laughter. They were bouncing a ball back and forth. The activity director was so engaging and involved with it, I was impressed with that a lot.

My parents are in Atria Rocklin, which used to be Casa de Sta Fe. It is nice. There is a piano player, and children come in to sing to the residents. The facility has a rec room where residents can play pool and ping pong. The place has a swimming pool and a bunch of different stuff. The dining area is nice. The residents have to go at a certain time. The new owners are making it so they can go when they want between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., which would be much better. Anytime dining is much better. My relatives love the staff and waiters. They can have their cat, which is really nice. They haven't had any issues.

Casa de Santa Fe was fine. We saw the outside, and it was OK. They had garages, nice grounds, nice facility, and nice people. It was just a little bit farther than where we wanted to go. They can do some renovation, like updating the carpets, colors, furniture, and bringing it into 2016 and not 1990 or 1995. The only negative for us was it's a little bit farther away.

We have decided on Casa de Santa Fe for my dad. The pricing was not that much different from other places, but the caregiving was really different. What I like about the facility is that they never have to leave. Casa goes all the way and could take my father into memory care if needed. The facility is very clean, like a 3-1/2- to 4-star hotel. They have music every night and a dining room. We took my dad and went for dinner. We have friends who have parent there. It was a good experience, and he really likes it, and that’s a lot for him to say that. There’s just jovial good attitude and a lot of caring by the staff. The food was excellent. The staff didn’t talk down to patients. They got down on their knees so they were able to look them in the eye and treated them with respect, like a person. I would recommend this community to others primarily because of the care and what you’re getting for your money.

Casa de Santa Fe was nice. I liked the way the living situation was arranged in sort of a circular way, so that people could leave their door open and visit with their neighbors or they could choose not to. It was fairly close to get to all the activities in the dining room. The people seemed friendly and happy. They had a lot of options for the residents to go out -- shopping trips, appointments, restaurants, plays, and other activities. They had a lot of stuff going within the facility itself that people could participate in. Nobody was complaining about the food. They were all saying it was really good. It's a little bit expensive for some people, but it's a really nice place.

I have been here at Casa de Santa before. Lately, the food has been really bad. They have been cutting portion size, and it feels like they’re experiencing problems with many things. I didn’t an experience like this before. I have written to the person that runs the food and the person that runs this facility about my concerns. The staff is very kind and thoughtful, which makes it comfortable. They are cheerful, and if you need something, they respond quickly.

A friend and I visited this facility. The staff are very knowledgeable and were able to answer all our questions. I was impressed with the relationship between the staff and management, and the residents. The dining room was very pleasant, elegant but not stuffy and the food was good. We had heard from friends outside the facility how good it was, from residents they knew. We found the apartments to be spacious and convenient with a garage in some. We have been back a second time, and my friend is going to get on the list. I probably will also when the time is right for my husband and I.

Mother has been in Casa de Santa Fe for over a month now. The memory care has a lot of light, and I kind of like the structure of it; it is setup like a big kind of living area and then with all the rooms around the outside because they have windows. It has an area in the center, but it doesn’t have big walkways. This facility is assisted, independent, as well as the memory care, and she said she likes it. We had lunch there when we first looked at it, and I was impressed because we are in the assisted living not in the memory care, but the food is of the same way with lots of selection, and I was impressed with the service. It’s a lot of retirement adult area. They have a calendar of different events going on each day, and they send out a monthly calendar, but it would be nice if they had more walking areas. I have been impressed with the staff, with 24hr staff. The other thing I did like about is that they have a maximum of about 32 people there, and they are not at the max at this point. The caregivers seem to be very good and always have a smile on their face. I may not have eaten there, but I have seen them serve the food, give their options, and manage the people. The staff seems extremely competent on top of everything, letting me know if there are any issues. And I like that they encourage them to get out of their rooms; they encourage them to go into the general areas where they do exercises and have different activities.

During our visit at Casa de Santa Fe, they were very professional. They took us on a tour of the facility. They sat down and discussed very professionally what my mom and dad were looking for and what options they have at the facility. Casa de Santa Fe is an independent living facility as well as assisted living, so my parents have an option to be able to move from the independent living, e.g., free standing apartment with its own garage and kitchen. The monthly fees for that included their meals except for breakfast, which is what my parents were looking for. Once they got to a point where they needed more assistance, they could simply move into the assisted living side of the facility without any hassle, so that was great to learn. They also have a 24-hour nursing staff available, and there is a lot of security there. There are call buttons throughout the apartment that my parents could reach should they need assistance to have someone help them. Overall, it is a great facility. It is very clean, up-to-date, they have good staff, and the price was right.

The problem we had with Casa de Santa Fe was that the room they put my mother in was near the laundry room. They were washing 24 hours a day, so she was listening to the washer and dryer constantly. On the other hand, they do have very nice people working there. The help seem to be very nice as well. I didn't ever see anybody looking really miserable there. Some of these places you go into, the people looked pretty sad. Besides the assisted living, they have condominiums and apartments you could rent. It is a big complex. In the dining room, the food was always very good. The rooms always seem to be clean. The nurse station was excellent. Everybody there was very nice. But the one-bedroom unit got really expensive. It was a lot more than what we are willing to spend. The one downside of this facility is that they don't have like a living room type area. The activities are limited there compared to some other places. If singers come, everybody kind of sits in the dining room to listen. If they did any entertaining, it was all done in the dining room area.

The lady from Casa de Santa Fe was fantastic. She was very nice, helpful and understanding. She walked me around the facility and also sat me in her office. When I explained my situation, she explained what their guidelines were, etc. She gave me another number to call, which I did. I would commend her if only I could remember her name. I more than appreciated her honesty and the facility itself. It was very clean, with no unpleasant smells at all. Everybody seemed to be very happy there. The workers and caretakers were fine. I was impressed. Without a doubt, I would recommend this facility. If you could afford it, it's the place to go.

It's a great place! It looked like a hotel. It's a high end type of senior living facility. It's pricey but it's worth the cost. So I really like the atmosphere and the way the layout was. I like the dining facility and I've heard from the residents that the food is quite good. The residents seemed to be happy and they were all out there enjoying the piano! I like the number of staff they had and how amazing they were. I would recommend the place.

Lovely grounds and very attractive, spacious apartments, but the best features are the warm, responsive and gracious staff, and the wonderful community formed by the residents themselves. Everyone looks forward to dinner together each evening, and there is lots of neighborly interaction among residents as they come and go from their apartments every day. They live independently, yet there's plenty to do, lots of services, and and friendly neighbors for company and fun.

If we lived in Roseville I would have chosen this care home for my parents without reservation. I knew the minute we walked in that this was a place worth learning about. The staff were all very welcoming and willing to spend as much time with you as you needed, but were not pushy. The personalized memory care was a plus. The apartments are roomy as compared to other homes we visited. They are on the perimeter with the dining area and activity areas in the center. Those seniors who always took care to decorate their home nicely will find this to be a very attractive home. If your loved one needs assisted living, Casa De Santa Fe should be on your list to visit. While we ate lunch we heard several residents ask their waiters for something special (an extra slice of tomato for their sandwich or some spicy mustard). We were impressed with how quickly and graciously the staff responded. The nursing staff were careful to protect people's privacy. i.e. There were no names listed on a wall chart with medications as we had seen at another facility. Residents we spoke to were happy with living there and felt they had developed new and interesting social groups through the activities offered.

This is a phenomenal community with many offerings. I have a good friend whose mother is being cared for at Casa De Santa Fe. They have it all. Through the years, I have worked with the staff members to help with local Rocklin community fundraisers including events for the Rocklin Kiwanis Club. I am 2011 Club Secratary and a Director Elect for 2012. Cathy is the Director. She is an amazing woman with a heart of gold and the business mind to have everything running tip top. I would happily live here myself except I'm a bit young yet. :-)
