Miles Terrace Apartments is a place where you have to be low-income, and my income is too high for that. The guy who did the tour and helped me along was so nice. I went to the place, and you couldn't even get into the front door or anything because there was a keypad, and you had to know the number if you were going to visit somebody. The building was good. I was amazed. The size of the rooms was very small, though, and the layout was hardly anything. You opened the door, and it was just straight. Then to the right was kind of a little dugout, and it's very, very small in my opinion. There wasn't a bedroom. It was big enough for a bed, and that was it.

I would not recommend Miles Terrace Apartments. It's right across the road from a homeless encampment, which would not be safe for seniors at night. It's in a bad part of town, too. The tour was okay once the guy finally showed up because he wasn't there when I first got there. The apartments weren't quite what I expected, but they weren't bad. There was a cooking smell in the hallway that turned me off. I think there must've been other cultures represented there besides my own because they were not food smells that I recognized. They had a one-bedroom and a studio. The studio was really small. The one-bedroom wasn't bad, but it was out of my price range. There was an area downstairs where there were some people hanging out and stuff and a couple of places where you could sit on furniture and relax. It just wasn't my cup of tea. My son would have shot me if I had chosen that one. They were difficult to find, too.
