Truewood by Merrill, Vancouver was my favorite of all the places I went to. Their bedroom, their facilities, super, super clean. The laundry room was inside the apartment. The apartment actually felt like a true apartment, not a hotel or a hospital room. And they had a full kitchen in the rooms. They were the ones I was most impressed with. I interacted with a few of the staff. I interacted with the manager and also with the community relations director, both super, super friendly, and very welcoming. I interacted with the gal who was in charge of doing arts and crafts. I can't remember her name, but I did interact with some of the residents who were doing the arts and crafts. Super fun individuals, look like they're truly happy with the location where they were at.

Truewood by Merrill, Vancouver was very clean, very nice, and up-to-date. It was a bit large for my mom who has trouble walking, but it was certainly the nicest of the places we visited. The people were all nice, but it was just too large. The staff was all very helpful, but I didn't get to talk to the staff that much.

Everything that we saw at Truewood by Merrill, Vancouver was great. The amenities were fine, but the rooms were small. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. He knew everybody by name, and that just amazed me.

I toured Truewood by Merrill, Vancouver. I like their rooms. The staff were fine. They have a swimming pool, which is nice. The upkeep is alright. It's older though. With regards to location, it's near school and shopping.

I toured Truewood Vancouver. The second time we went, they had a girl that was showing it. They would only show us model units that they had set up. They would not show us actual rooms that were available. They had no list of available rooms. They had no pricing available. They had no idea what type of rooms were available. The people were not friendly. The residents looked like they were all death-warmed over. There were staffing problems and they were all coming to the lady that was trying to show us around. She was trying to take care of the staffing problems at the same time, and so we kind of felt like it was a nightmare. That's not the way to show a prospective resident. You don't just give someone keys to a couple of rooms and that's it, like no pricing, and expect them to move in.

It is quite good. The rooms are a little bit smaller but the staff was excellent-- I had no problem with that. They have food there, like lunch and dinner type food. Everybody seemed to enjoy the place and they were there and it's a vibrant community, not with people that were out in, say, outer space or whatever. I had no problems with the staff, they answered questions and allowed me to look around and see what the facility looked like. On the menu, they had a good selection of food. And there's more than one type of food that you could eat, in case you didn't like liver and onions that day, you could also order a steak or something. There was an exercise room there. There were some outside activities, but I just got the feeling that it wasn't quite the same as the other place I toured. The rooms were clean and everything was clean inside the facility. I didn't have any difficulty finding anything one way or the other. I felt it's a little more isolated out there, away from my friends that are in the Vancouver area. So I didn't think they would come and visit me as much.
