The Best Independent Living Communities in Lewis County, WA

"I found Woodland Village for my friend. She is not in there yet, but we're still working on going through the process. I found them to be really nice, and they basically met all the needs that I think she will require. I was very pleasantly surprised, it was very nice the way it was set up, and it looked a lot nicer than I thought it would. The staff members were very helpful and very accommodating. They were able to answer all the questions that I had. I found the facility to be very clean, and I was very impressed with the dining area. At this point, the dining area can't be used because they're not having them congregate in that area. They also have multiple activity rooms, and I found that impressive. There's also the opportunity for activities outside the facility. They're supposed to come out and do an evaluation on my friend, which will definitely determine what level of care she needs. We're shooting right now for assisted living, but they'll assess her needs."

"I love this community. My family member was provided with a great call device that offers 24/7 emergency support. When moving in the staff was so helpful and even provided a thorough orientation for him. The residents all have good things to say "

"Fieldstone Cooper Point Olympia was very clean. My friend went with me and when we went in as visitors, we were required to wear a mask. She had to wear a very uncomfortable mask throughout the tour because we were not residents. The residents are not required to wear the mask all the time. We also had to sign in and confirm that we had been vaccinated and that we had not been with anybody with COVID. They were very, very strict on their COVID restrictions, which was different from the other places I had visited, and it was offsetting for me. The staff during the tour was very, very helpful, answered all my questions, and took quite a bit of time showing me all the activities and the rooms that they had for different activities. One floor had offices and then they had a floor that was almost completely with activity rooms. They had a TV room where they showed movies twice a day, once at night and once during the day, and they had bingo going on at the time. They had several places where they had crafts, painting, and all kinds of stuff. They were very friendly. I saw a couple of the residents, but I didn't talk with them. They had complete dining and a complete kitchen area."

"Revel Lacey was a beautiful facility. It's brand new, and it's really nice. We didn't choose it because of the location, and it didn't have the right vibe for my mom. We liked the fact that it was brand new and really modern. It just wasn't the right one, but it was a gorgeous facility. The apartments were very light and bright with big windows. If you're in the northwest, you need as much natural light as you can possibly get, so that was really nice. It had a nice dog park. The staff was very nice, too . Other than just the vibe not being right, the hallways were really cold, like there was no heat in the hallways. I just thought if I'm cold and I'm 45, then these old folks must be freezing in these hallways. The rooms were beautiful. They were by far the nicest out of anyone that I looked at. There's a mushroom processing plant nearby and if the wind is blowing the wrong direction, it smells terrible. It was too close to that, where you could get that bad smelly wind. The staff was very nice."

"It was a very nice place. It's a lovely large building, very clean, and beautifully furnished. The person who took me on the tour was very nice. It made a good impression."

"The Stillwaters Estates Retirement Community in Centralia was very nice. It's gated, and the people were nice. It looks like a good fit for my mom because she's very social and they have a lot of stuff going on in their clubhouse. They have potlucks once a month and they always have something going on. During my visit, I talked to a couple who were walking around. They'd been there for about 3 years and said they loved it. That's the type of setting I wanted for my mom. The staff was great too. They were all nice and helpful."
