My husband is a resident of Woodland Village's independent living. We visited it early this year and as soon as we entered, it was very welcoming, and the decor was beautiful. It was like walking into somebody's beautiful home. The marketing director was also very personable and answered our questions when we had the tour. My husband has vascular dementia so he thought it would be best to be in a place that had independent living, assisted living, and memory care, which Woodland does. The price per month is around $200 less than the other facilities we inquired at. We met some of the community members and had a meal there, and liked the food. That was one of the qualifiers for him, the three meals a day and snacks. The dining room was also lovely. Sometimes, they have music and live performances there. Then every holiday they have a special buffet. They even have centerpieces on the table for whatever the occasion is. They have different activities every day. My husband is involved in their exercise sessions and he's enjoying it. He's also tried bingo and a few others.

We toured Woodland Village. It's modern and updated. The dining room is quite nice. They did not have designated parking for the residents, and the cost of the laundry was expensive. The facility was beautiful. The marketing director was quite good.

The tour at Woodland Village was good. It would be a good choice if it wasn't a little too expensive. They have some amenities for my mom. They're very nice. It seemed like a nice place.

I took a tour of Woodland Village. It's a very nice place. It is clean and seems to be well managed. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, gave us a lot of information, and was willing to answer our questions. The dining area was very nice. I have not had the food there, but they have a regular menu like you order at a restaurant, and it looked good. In terms of activities, they offer a lot of card games, and they have a bus that can take you out to the casino. They have all kinds of different activities there that I know of. This is also close to where we live, so it's convenient for me.

Our tour experience with Woodland Village was really good because the environment was really warm and friendly. People stopped by our table to say hello and tell us that they liked the place and everything. They have lots of activities that we thought we might enjoy. The staff was nice and engaging. They have lots of housing options and the sizes are a little larger than some of the others that we saw. I thought the prices were reasonable and the food was really good and yummy. They offered studios and one bedroom. They had a minimal kitchen in those rooms, which was the only thing I didn't like. There was no stove, but they had cottages and they were well-priced. The cottages had a full kitchen and everything if you wanted to be more independent for a while. So, there was little option given there. The staff was good. They were all very friendly, kind, and inviting.

Mom lives in Woodland Village. We chose it because I just like the facility and the people. They've been friendly and helpful. The food is fine. They got a salon, and other stuff like rec rooms and gathering rooms. There's urgent care nearby. There's a dentist's office, restaurants, stores, and stuff that were within five miles.

The people at Woodland Village were friendly and they had an amazing dining area. They had a chef that had come from Seattle and they were quite proud of their food and their service. They had activities and everything was downstairs. The dining experience would have been great, but you had to walk and the floors didn't quite match. There was a ramp going down and it was quite a ways to walk (my mom was using a walker) It just seemed like it was too far for her to walk. If somebody was very active, that would have been a good place. They seemed to have a good activity center and they had a hair salon as well. They had a variety. They had different churches coming every Sunday for services and I think they had probably the best activity schedule if you can do that like games and costumes and things.

We are choosing Woodland Village for my father because that's where he wanted to be. We found it to be very clean and friendly. The staff was local, so he was happy with that. He was also pleased with the apartment. The staff was very friendly and they listened well.

We liked Woodland Village. It was very nice. The location was so pretty, it was backed up to the woods. We also liked the fact that it had both individual living cottages and apartments. I liked that there were a lot of people out and about. There seemed to be a lot of activity. People weren't just sitting in their rooms. The staff seemed to be very friendly and nice.

I toured Woodland Village. It was excellent. The staff was very accommodating. She asked us what we wanted. She made an appointment for tomorrow to clarify all our questions. She was very friendly. The rooms are fine. They seemed to be nice-looking. I had been in a cottage that had been renovated. The resident had just left, and so there were a lot of things that needed to be fixed. It looked roomy, very appealing, and clean, except for some stuff that they needed to do. There are different rooms in different areas. My friend seems to be interested in this community. I am not interested, but for her it's OK. The dining area was fine. They gave us a menu. I saw their schedules of activities, and they had activities every day, practically every hour. It's in a rural area, so they have quite a bit space outside. I didn't see a garden.

Auntie lives in a studio at Woodland Village. Before you get to her toilet and tub, there is this giant closet to hang all of your stuff. Then the main room has a kitchen and a big room with a huge window. She is able to get everything in there without a problem so she likes it a lot. She likes the lighting and having a cable TV, too. The quality of the food is medium, but they do good because they base their meals on the elderly. They give them their big meal in the middle of the day and a lighter meal in the evening. I was very impressed. They have a craft room for projects and stuff. They also have a salon to get your hair done and they bring people in to perform for them. It's pretty neat, and I really like it. Most of the staff are top of the line and very professional. For the amount my auntie is paying, it's pretty good.

My mom moved to Woodland Village, she loves it and I love it. It's a beautiful place, they're great to the residents, the staff is wonderful and everybody there seems to be happy. What I've tasted is okay but I think the food could be a little bit better. She liked the apartment that she has, it's clean and it's spacious. We didn't get the small studio, but we got the middle one and she's only been here for a couple of days, but she says she thinks she's going to be very happy here. They do bowling, and bingo, they do walks, and they have a craft room, and an activity room. They also do transports like once a week, they come out with a whole calendar of activities. The staff has been great and helpful, everybody is just awesome here and all the residents that I talked to are happy and it's very clean. It's also affordable.`I can stay with her a few days at a time, they're not picky.

Woodland Village was a very nice place and everyone seemed very professional. We were overall very impressed with the facility. The dining area was very nice and the rooms looked very adequate for their purpose. We were provided with lots of information about fees and charges associated with the level of care that was required, so we felt well-informed.

I found Woodland Village for my friend. She is not in there yet, but we're still working on going through the process. I found them to be really nice, and they basically met all the needs that I think she will require. I was very pleasantly surprised, it was very nice the way it was set up, and it looked a lot nicer than I thought it would. The staff members were very helpful and very accommodating. They were able to answer all the questions that I had. I found the facility to be very clean, and I was very impressed with the dining area. At this point, the dining area can't be used because they're not having them congregate in that area. They also have multiple activity rooms, and I found that impressive. There's also the opportunity for activities outside the facility. They're supposed to come out and do an evaluation on my friend, which will definitely determine what level of care she needs. We're shooting right now for assisted living, but they'll assess her needs.

I am extremely grateful to have found Woodland Village for my mother who moved into an assisted living apartment five months ago. The staff has been exceptional. Nursing staff are conscientious and observant. They call me if something seems out of the ordinary, which has been particularly helpful given my mother’s dementia. She doesn’t always let me know important things, and their attentiveness puts me at ease, especially during Covid restrictions when family can’t come inside. The front office is responsive, and facilities support has gone above-and-beyond, helping Mom hang artwork and set up her TV, etc. The dining staff puts out quality menus. Mom's put on needed weight and loves the variety. The apartment itself is very nicely designed with modern, higher-end cabinets, flooring and fixtures. It was tough getting Mom to transition, but when she moved in and saw all of her things in such a nice space, she cried and hugged me. She calls her space “nice and cozy.” The hallways and community spaces are nicely designed with beautiful artwork and furnishings. This sounds gushy, but I visited many places less well run and appointed that cost far more money. I live in Olympia, but I’m constantly grateful that I widened my search. I went from nail-biting to relief and confidence in the staff. I should also mention the activities director who runs creative programs even with social distancing guidelines and the hair stylist whom my Mom LOVES. The one negative has been turnover in the on-site director position. This hasn't had much impact on my mother's situation, but I hope that the incoming director supports the current staff in doing what they do well. It's a skilled and compassionate team. If you live outside of Chehalis, at least take a look. It’s a special place.

I like Woodland Village better than all the other nursing homes and assisted living place I've looked at. The rooms are a nice size, they're not too bad. It looked like a place I could live up until this virus happened. Their lunchroom is a nice big area, and there were people going in and out of it. There's no set time where you should eat, and I thought that's rather nice. The food was pretty good, I was rather surprised because I never had cucumbers on a sandwich before. I think I could actually live there. I asked about their activities and they have crafts with a group available, they also go on trips together on the bus. I think I would really enjoy that. And the food was really good.

Woodland Village (Village Concepts of Chehalis - Woodland Village) is very clean, friendly, has a lot of activities, and is affordable. The bath tub in the cottage they chose is able to accommodate my father's bathing needs as well as my mother's desire to have a tub. The staff is very friendly. The other things we liked is that there's a beauty shop and a lending library. My parents are in a very nice cottage and they get one free meal a day. If they were living in the apartments, they'd get three. It's very close to the doctor, who is right next door, and there's also a dentist very nearby. In the cottage, someone mows the lawn and tends plants, and there's housekeeping twice a week. They also have a bathing aide and a physical therapist that my dad needs. My mom says the food is good and my parents are much healthier since going there. They offer talks, church services, and exercise classes.
