"I visited Holiday South Hill. They were very friendly to me. They were waiting for me to come. It was nice and everybody was very kind. I went for lunch. I went into the dining room, and then the staff showed me the apartment that had opened. The food was OK. They have a booklet, and once a month, they have a big thing out of the booklet. They're doing big things like the 4th of July and all that kind of stuff. She showed me all the rooms, like the puzzle room, the library, and things like that."

"We toured Aspire-care looking for an adult home for my husband's father. The home was immaculate inside and out. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We knew as soon as we met Grace Thud and toured the facility that this would be the place for our father/husband. She is so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable for caring for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients. My husband, his mom and I all feel fortunate to have had him in her care. We highly recommend any location that Grace has."

"GenCare LifeStyle at Point Ruston was lovely, but it was just too big of a facility for my mom. Everyone was super helpful. It's just too large for my mom, so it wasn't something that, at this time, I would have considered. The person who gave the tour was very, very nice, and very helpful. All the amenities are very similar with other places, just the building itself was a bit larger, and so it just probably would not be a good fit for my mom. "

"My father moved into Bonaventure of Puyallup. The staff there is super, super friendly. They have good amenities and they're just so helpful and on the ball. We went to dinner last night and the medical director showed up to give my dad his pills; it's just like magic. It was amazing. It's just wonderful. They take care of you really well. They give him a button that he wears around his neck. If he needs any help, he's just got to push that and they'll be right there. When he was moving in, they came in. They spent time talking to him and introducing themselves and getting to know him. The food was good. I had tilapia there last night. A little too much pepper I think on the vegetables. They have a bowling alley and a movie theater, and activity socializing places. They were telling my dad that they had a whole calendar of activities."

"My Mom-in-law is at Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance and it's been a wonderful experience. The staff has been excellent and very, very thoughtful. It is well-staffed. It's a beautiful, friendly, and an open environment. They have a lot of beautiful windows and beautiful grounds. She loves her meals. They have good activities. They were having a car show the day she moved in and that was cool."

"The studio apartments of Silver Creek by Bonaventure were pretty small. The dining area was nice. We ate lunch there one day, and the food was passable; it was good, nothing spectacular, but average. They had game rooms, cards, and that type of stuff. I think their studio apartment was small, and the price was too high for what you get. "

"We have committed to a place called Foundation House. It is independent living with options for assisted. We have a cottage there, so we are independent. What I like best this place is the independence, the availability of all of the activities, food and everything, and the ability to move into assisted living when we need it. They have bridge, bingo, exercise, crafts, excursions, transportation, and classes. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. "

"I really liked the community. It was clean, and everybody was cheery. The staff was very nice. They showed us around, and the rooms were very nice. I would recommend this to other seniors who are looking for an assisted living. "

"I toured Holiday Peninsula. It was a very nice open concept in the common area and dining area. The rooms were nice, and they had air conditioning. I got to see a couple of different rooms. The staff, the people who took care of me, did a good job. It was a good tour. They showed me menus, and the dining area itself was beautiful. They have a library you can take advantage of, an exercise room with some equipment, and a room where they play different card games."

"My mom moved into Sound Vista Village a couple of weeks ago. So, we're kind of new there, but for the most part, everything is going well. I like the smaller community, and it seems like the level of nursing and care that my mom is getting is much better than where we were. The staff is great. Everybody is in the mood all the time. Big smile on their face. So life is good. The rooms were nice and clean. The food was good. They have all kinds of good stuff. They've got arts and crafts. They've got a book club. They have happy hour groups where people come in and sing."

"My mom ended up going to Cedar Ridge. Somebody gave me about five places to look at, and she immediately liked that one. She ended up moving to Cedar Ridge which is five minutes from my house. I have a sister who is a one minute to two minute walk from there. That's why she chose that because she figured she get more company if she is closer to family. That went OK I guess. She wanted a corner unit but didn't get it and got the next one over. She got all the discounts they said that they were going to offer. She was there for about two months. All of staff that knew her very well was invited, but none of them showed up for her service. The apartment was OK. The place is like six or seven years old, so it is not brand new but it is OK. The food was good but bland. They have these special meals once in a while for family members to come. Lots of people came to those. The housekeeping was good. She wasn't very social, but she did play some of the games with them. Toward the end, she started to do more with them. I like that it was close to my house. I also like that her unit was not like a hotel room. It was more of like an apartment with a kitchen, a laundry room, and everything she really liked. A lot of the people were really good. There was one person I didn't want visiting my mom, and they were good about letting me know if that person showed up. They were good about making sure that person didn't have a key. They did a lot of things above and beyond for us, and we really appreciate it. "

"My father is in Patriots Landing. He was in quarantine for the first two weeks. Now he's been vaccinated, so things are slowly beginning to open up. He's able to dine with other residents at the same table. Because of COVID, there were so many restrictions. I think it's taken a little longer than if we had no restrictions in place, to get to know other residents. So far, he likes it there. His room has a lot of light and a tall ceiling, so it feels bigger. The bathroom is good; it's easy for him to maneuver in with a walker. They're very quick to fix anything or any complaints he has. They have maintenance there on staff all the time. There were a lot of rules when we first got there, which was different from his last facility. They made everything very clear, and he has been visited often by the social director and activities director. There's lots of choices of activities for him to do (if he chooses to do that). They have a health room (which he did not have before), so he's taking advantage of doing some exercises there. The food is a huge upgrade from where he was. He wasn't keen on the food in his last place, but this has been good. And he always comments that they do their specialty meals for things like Mother's Day, Father's Day, or different holidays. The place is very lovely. They have beautiful gardens and everything is well-kept. It's very welcoming, and there are community areas where you can sit with family or other people. You have to be military affiliated, but I would highly recommend it for those who are. We've just been really thrilled with everything that they've been able to take care of with any of his concerns. They have someone 24-7 so we can always call the front desk and get information, so that has been very helpful. This is his third place. It's more expensive than his last place, but less expensive than the first place."
