Knights of Pythias Retirement Center

We visited the Knights of Pythias Retirement Center. I didn't like it. Everything was dark brown and just very dark. All I want is an apartment, and I don't need any care. I want an apartment that is affordable for us to live in. Everybody there was in wheelchairs, but I appreciate that for the people that need that. We were shown one very small apartment and that hardly any furniture would fit in there. Nothing of what I was looking for was there. I would recommend having more light in that place. We were shown the library, we were shown where people eat together, and that's more of a nursing home atmosphere. All we needed was a senior apartment where there were no stairs, and parking for my car, that type of apartment that was affordable. The staff were very nice, but you cannot change what they have to offer. My needs were not met there. Maybe somebody that needs much more care, in a wheelchair, or bed and needs a nurse, but that's a different story. There was a little salon, but I'm a hairdresser and an aesthetician, so that was not what I needed.
