My Mother was a patient at Tate Residential for several months, following stays at several local nursing homes and memory care facilities. She received excellent professional and personal care, there was never an issue of something not being done to improve her health, safety and well-being. Rooms were average size, very clean and comfortable. Shared bathrooms were also very clean, with no unpleasant odors. The staff was professional and caring. They attempted to accommodate all visitors and patient requests within the rules of the house, keeping patient health, safety and comfort as their first priority.

I went to this place called Tate's Home, which turned out to be a nightmare, so I got out of there as quickly as I can. Nothing nice to say there. With regards to food, a lot of times all you would get was a sandwich. Two pieces of bread, maybe some mayonnaise and mustard and some lunch meat. It just was what it was. I'm eating better out on my own than I was when I was there. Sometimes they would cook, and it would be good. It just certain things that went on there were just wrong. It was not my cup of tea, and it was not really meant to be. There were too many people in one home. I shared a room with three other men there, and it was a garage converted into a bedroom. It did not have central heat, and it did not have central air. I'm paying less money where I am now and living a lot better. With regards to activities, from time to time they would play word check, bingo or something, but I just did not participate.
