My friend was at Concord Reserve in rehab for at least a couple of months. The facilities are beautiful. It's absolutely gorgeous. They have good activities. They have dining rooms, and they have good food. They have an aviary in the hallway, which I think is cool, too. They have beautiful outdoor areas and nice seating areas. It's huge, and it's the only place I've been where there have been a lot of empty rooms. It's a good location, too. They've got great facilities and everything, but their staff isn't very attentive and they're incredibly expensive.

My parents visited several, and Concord Reserve was where they felt most at home. It's very bright and welcoming. The people are really, really kind and caring. It's fairly new, so that was a plus as well. It's very clean, and it's just a really, really lovely place. They have several activities going on. They have speakers that come in. They have music, entertainment on certain nights, movies, and Wii bowling. They have a fitness center, and they have a guy that gives them twice a week workouts. There's yoga. They have outings for lunch and other activities like that. They have cards and bingo. Those are the ones my parents have participated in so far. The food is good. My parents enjoy it. It was very good for us.

Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve is a beautiful facility. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. My parent came to Lutheran Home for PT/OT after a week long, uncomplicated hospital stay. My parent slept in feces their first night. An entire day passed without a single call light being answered, only to learn the system was not working. The phone for the nursing station was rarely answered. The staff was very vocal about being overwhelmed, spoke of their recent staff turnovers. In time I learned that nearly all caregivers were agency staff, most of which were brand new to LH. No care meeting took place, the doctor never addressed our concerns. Administration tried to help, but ultimately the nursing leadership and floor staff failed my parent. Their stay at LH ended early when there was a bone-breaking fall. Although communication protocol was followed, my parent was in extreme pain when we arrived despite being told he was fine. We basically had to beg for EMS to be called. When the nurse tried to call for squad, she was unable to call out and had to ask how to dial an external number (911). The events following this stay at LH has resulted in 2 additional hospitalizations and now a LTC admission at a lovely facility. I can’t help but wonder how their outcome would be different had we picked a different facility. Families beware: do not be fooled by tours, the legacy or they online/Medicare ratings. Avoid Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve.

Concord Reserve, it's independent living. They don't have villas; they have apartments. It's brand new. They have a nursing facility. Their assisted living is older. Their independent living is brand new. The Towers is brand new and gorgeous. They had wonderful amenities, great opportunities, and a very friendly staff. It is a lovely facility. The meals are included. They have activities and lots of clubs. They don't have a pool; they don't have any of the cruise ship stuff. It's much more the typical living in an apartment kind of stuff with activities for the seniors. It's wonderful. It is a nice apartment kind of living. We were going to actually go to Concord, but my mom really didn't like being in an apartment. She didn't like downsizing to 798 square feet. The largest apartment they have is 1100 square feet, and she was so struggling with that, but it's lovely. It's great if you like living in an apartment. If you want to live in an apartment, I would say the Concord is a lovely place to live. However, they do not have the same regimented policy as the other place if residents don't respond. (Every morning) The resident will open the door and slide the slider, and a staff member will walk through the halls to see if the slider had been slid. It's not as automatic and organized (the notification at a specific time if somebody is OK each day). I'm the daughter of a mother who has had two strokes. I worry every day that my mother will have another stroke. The Concorde has a way of identifying, but it's not as organized. It's beautiful. The grounds are wonderful and nice. They have walking trails. It's a very nice place.

The caring staff , the immaculate surroundings , the respect the residents are given is what every family hopes to have for their family member. It is what my husband received at Lutheran home. The staff and management list end to your input and especially during this pandemic protects the residents.

My wife and I moved into the Concord Reserve independent living community five months ago. We had decided to be proactive and make a move before we had to. It turned out to be a wise decision. We have a new two bedroom and two bathroom apartment and our unit has great outside views. Our appliances are new. This is the first new home we have lived in. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A plus I didn’t think about is our great dinners prepared by our great chefs. Few restaurants in Westlake can compete with our dinners.

Apartment (rooms) are very nice. Living in new independent living building. Staff is excellent! Located in center of Westlake. Only a mile or 2 from any kind of shopping.

My wife resided here for rehab. Nursing staff turned over the entire time and there were never enough aides. MD told me to discharge her home so she would get better faster
