They truly care for the residents as well as their caregivers and that attitude is apparent in each interaction. My husband has been in both the Assisted Living and the Memory Care unit and we have been welcomed and supported from day one in each. There is always someone available to help, or maybe, just to listen and understand. They have striven to fulfill each request and no question has gone unanswered. As soon as I walked into the lobby of Independece Village, I was impressed by the ongoing activities being offered in the facility and the coming and going of the busses as they transported the residents off site. Everyone seemed engaged and happy. There is a welcoming Receptionist on duty to direct and help manage in an efficient manner. Calls for help or attention from residents are routed through the Receptionist using a radio system that helps to dispatch the Staff where they are needed. When I leave my husband, I am greatly comforted knowing that he is being looked after by these dedicated professionals."

The staff who gave us the tour had a positive attitude and clean hygiene and was professional. The rooms were clean, modern, up-to-date, and new. "I stayed a year ago for two months. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had three meals a day in a shared dining room. The food was excellent. My only complaint was that their servings were too large. The rooms were very large. The resident rooms and the common spaces were kept very clean. They had shared common rooms like we had Wii bowling in a TV room, they had bingo in a community room, and they had happy hour on Fridays in the front lobby. I got a lot of value out of it."

"We have been staying at Vitalia Active Adult Community at North Royalton for nine months. We have games. They have an outdoor walking club here. They have somebody leading a gentle exercise. We go to lunch and dinner every day in the big dining room, which is quite nice. It is a very beautiful facility. The facility is new. All the staff are very nice. I would not have anything negative to say about them. The servers in the dining room are wonderful. They get to know everybody's name, and that's a good thing. I'd say the only problem here, which I'm sure is just about everywhere you go, is that sometimes there just isn't quite enough staff. Sometimes serving in the dining room is slow because there are only a couple of people available to help with it. There is a good variety of activities available. I was a little disappointed that I'd already received an increase before my full year was up."

"My parents have been residents in the independent living at the Rockside community for 7 months. Is it perfect? No. But they are attentive to concerns and make an effort to rectify any problems. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are a fair number of activities. They try to have events for special days. My parents frequently talk about the beautiful valentines day dinner and the eclipse party. There was a women’s tea for Christmas that my mom thoroughly enjoyed. My mom moved from their home reluctantly. Yesterday she told me she doesn’t miss her house anymore and that she loves her new home at Vitalia. That speaks volumes!"

"My first impression of Cardinal Court Assisted Living and Memory Care was good. It is not a very large facility, but everything about it seems just fine. The place looked very nice inside. I was able to look into one of the rooms that my mother-in-law could have possibly stayed in, and I was very impressed with it. The rooms seemed to be very nice. They're very comfortable, nicely furnished, and have a nice layout. The staff member was great. She was very nice and very helpful. She was excellent. There were a lot of people sitting around, and watching television, and doing things on their own, but there was no organized activity that I observed."
