"I toured Danbury North Ridgeville. Everybody was very friendly and welcoming. The facility was clean. They also had a lot of great programs and amenities for the patients. I was there around chow time, so I got to smell the food. I didn't have anything to eat there. I liked the facility a lot, but did not like the location. It was close to a highway, and that turned me off. Their courtyard was pretty open, and it was pretty windy back there. It was a nice courtyard, but I didn't like that it was next to the highway. Lisa and the team did a fantastic job showing around. They knew the answers to the questions I asked. They provided me with information about things that I didn't think to ask. All of the rooms come unfurnished, which is typical, but they were willing to work with us on the types of furniture that can go in there. They did not have in-suite showers in the room."

"I toured Rose Senior Living - Avon. I liked what they had to offer, and I thought it was reasonably priced in comparison. I think it offers a lot to the people who are there, and I didn't have any objections to any of it, I didn't. We discussed the whole thing, but I was going for independent living at that time. My friend, who was with me, was very impressed also. The only room that they had available that I could see was a one-bedroom, but even that impressed me because it was so nice and nicely done. I liked it. I felt comfortable there. I liked the fact that there was a laundry facility and a walk-in shower in the apartment. Those were very important to me. I like the fact that you could walk out your door and there was a small balcony connected to it. To me, it was very clean and very nice. The entire building that I saw was very clean, it just felt comfortable. I would rate them very highly. It was very impressive. The staff impressed me by being able to communicate well. I would read them highly. I thought they were very knowledgeable, very nice, and very open, and they answered questions. Everything was cleaned every day. I was impressed with the cleanliness. I liked the place."

"Great apartments, Food and Activities. I live in Avon Lake and have had the pleasure of visiting my friends who have moved to Independence Village over the years. The staff is always present and available and friendly as well! Highly recommend!"

"My mom is currently in Vitalia Senior Residences at Strongsville. It has been good. The first day that we were there when we dropped her off, I had to wait a little while, but with Covid and everything, I sort of understand that. I think it's going to be a good fit for her. They're very clean and very pleasant. It has taken us a while to get all the furniture in because I had to order a new chair for her, but they have been very helpful. My mom was involved in some activities the first day, but it is hard to know what's going on now. Yesterday, she wasn't just feeling her best, so I think she spent more time in her room. I think this is going to be a good place for her. It's a nice new facility. The people that I had worked with had been very pleasant. However, in a way, I feel I need to be with them a little longer before I can get a true picture. We haven't had that many experiences. Also, it's so hard to talk to my mom because the place that she was previously at hasn't returned her phone yet. I have to try and talk to her through the window, so it's just really frustrating. My mom has just gotten there, so she hasn't had the chance to do too many activities. They have a spa where they would take them and wash their hair, and she is definitely interested in that. Her room has a high ceiling and neutral paint. I thought it looked really pretty."

"My mom has moved into Vitalia Active Adult Community at North Royalton. It's beautiful, it's brand new, and it's very light and inviting. When we were looking for places, the staff were very helpful and very responsive. My mom's room is a studio. It's small but spacious. It's enough for one person, there are lots of light and it has a nice big bathroom. She's been there for two or three weeks now. When she got there, she had COVID, so she was isolated. They have amenities. They have an exercise room. They have a theater. They have a library and gathering area. They have a patio, so there are lots of nice spaces. I have tried the food and I thought it was very good. However, I've struggled a little bit with maintenance. When we need something done, it takes a bit of time. "

"The friendliness of the staff and residents, everyone speaks to you. When there is something someone is unhappy about they try to handle it right away. The food is good. The staff is nice. Everything here is really good and we have been over all pleased being here."

"My sister is at Vitalia Rockside Active Adult Community. I like everything about it. I like the size of the rooms and the meal plans. Everybody is very friendly. She is in a mini apartment. She opted for the one that has two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. The food is very good. The dining area is clean, big, and accommodating. You can order food just about all day long until about 6:00. It's a regular restaurant where they have a menu and specials every day. They have all kinds of activities, too. They have card games, they have puzzles to put together, they have different crafts during the day, and they have field trips. I think the value for money is good."

"Right now my dad is at Solon Pointe because that is where they can accept Medicaid waiver for him because he is not able to self-pay. He is up on the second floor in the memory care and they want to see if they can try to transition him to the downstairs area and eventually get him over to his own studio in the assisted living. He has been there since April 3rd and he is not happy because he says the place is too clinical. The facility needs a little updating, but I am sure the Alzheimer’s patients don’t really care. The nursing staff is very good and treating him well. The two nurses who we talked to said that they wouldn’t mind having him back. If a family member couldn’t ride with him to appointments, that they will transport him there with someone and bring him back. Their assisted living side looks good and they’ve have a lot of activities going on. Their dining room and little library area look nice, and their assisted living side looks really nice."

"Myers Apartments is on Cedar Road. They're an independent living facility, and they share the swimming pool and the grounds with another facility. If my brother started at Myers Apartments in independent living, but he got ill, he could then be transferred over to that facility. We all saw the apartment that my brother would have. It was very, very nice, and he had a nice patio. The only reason he is not going to go there is that it's $1,500. It's out of his budget, although they take Section 8 now. They were willing to assist with the paperwork. In the meantime, he would have to pay the $1,500 until they approved the Section 8. They have excellent staff. It was a wonderful facility. We got to take the lunch, and it was a very good diet that they have going. The food is prepared right there, and it was excellent. It is not inclusive, so it is charged to your room, and you pay for that in your rent monthly. It's like an apartment. It has the kitchen, the one bedroom, a living area, and a little, but very nice patio. It has eight libraries. They provide the laundry service, or he could do it himself. There was no additional charge for the laundry. His room is right around the corner from the laundry service. They have a little store in the facility. They have their own little greenhouse. I loved the greenhouse. They have a nice outdoor patio for everyone because they provide weekly get-togethers."
