"I visited a few times. My mother-in-law is like in the hospital-type room, not in the assisted-living part. It’s very nice. They have a dining area, a meeting room, and arts and craft room. It’s just like a regular nursing home. The staff has been very attentive and helpful. My mother-in-law doesn’t want to cooperate and refusing physical therapy, but they’re very attentive and very patient to her. I went to a Valentine’s dinner one time. They had dinner, dance, and people singing. My church goes in there and has Bible study time on Tuesdays. As far as that, I know they have other activities, but I don’t go to them. The dining hall was nicely cleaned, with nice tables. We went to a buffet, and there’s a piano in there. Let’s just say the food was edible. I’m impressed, because they’re simply located, friendly, seemed like they’re interested in the patient to the extent they get emotionally attached, and helpful. "

"Palm Terrace Care Center was wonderful. Everybody was so kind and so helpful. They took good care of me. I would recommend them to anybody. The appearance was wonderful. It could use some upgrades on the inside though. The roof leaked. It needed some paint/repairs. The door in some of the rooms could barely fit a wheelchair through so hopefully they're going to upgrade those. Other than that, everything was great. The food was good. The staff was wonderful. Although if you push the button, it takes a long time for one of the CNAs to come, but the administrator and the social services lady were fabulous people. I liked them. They're very helpful. We had church on Saturdays, bingo, and then movie days on Fridays."

"Arlington Gardens Care Center was a beautiful place. It was all brand new and all top-of-the-line, but Mom said the staff was unfriendly and not attentive. They didn't have too many activities there. They have a TV room and a very nice exercise room with a lot of new equipment. The dining area was big, nice, and clean, and the food was good."

"My mother has been at Orangetree Convalescent for 2 years now. She had a stroke. She's not able to talk or eat so they bathe her and feed her intravenously. The facility is very clean. "

"Once released from hospital following back surgery. ....i was immediately anxiety ridden with the prospectvof "convalescence"....as i look back, the staff were excellent in helping me with my fears...my pain...my overall state of being. I remember myself as being reluctant in all aspects of my rehabilitation in a place i thought of as " rest home"....end of the line was all i embraced....well, this is directed to any family members that may find their loved ones coming to be a new family member in this facility....that's right!....you are embraced by professionals that gave you asva main goal on your road to recovery....once meeting all that were to be my team, i had no more regrets and buckled down to what their mission is.....Me helping them to help me be at my best improving the quality of my life!!!..from maintenance staff to dietary to nurses to CNA' s to physical therapists to administrative officials...i finally realized how i did not have the right to give it my all!!! And thats exactly what i did....i was given the tools it takes to become a better, healthier, stronger me......it's been some time for me to express this only because i was being taught anew the importance of including me in such a life changing procedure....never a day passed where the director stopped in with words and actions of encouragement. ..yes,anxious to return to my home, i left Crypress Gardens with so much more than just learning my responsibility..i learned first hand there are convalescence facilities that truly met my needs...so, if your family is seeking rehab after surgery to a new living situation, check them out first....you indeed may not look further....i embrace Crypress Gardens with the utmost respect and thank everyone there for returning the best of me spiritually and physically. .... "

"The staff at Alta Vista is good, but my husband isn't. Wherever he goes, he's going to have somebody that’s going to handle him because he's real mean. Right now they're trying to find a pill that will relax him so he won’t hit somebody; they’re trying to find some medication for him. It’s very nice and very clean, and it seems to be well-run; they're good. They’re doing their job, and I’m satisfied. "

"My mother stayed in Villa Health, and it was really excellent. The people were really friendly, and they did a very excellent job taking care of her. We haven’t had a lot of experience with nursing homes, but it was definitely really good. That was our first experience, and she was there for about six months. Then she had a real accident and went to a different one, and you could tell there was a big difference. The people at Villa were kinder, friendlier, and they knew what they were doing. They really cared, and you can tell that they had a very positive, upbeat attitude about helping. It was excellent. It was like the best in the world. "

"Mom moved to Lifehouse last year on May 15th. It is a pretty facility and for an older facility, it is not bad. It is clean. It may need a little updating here and there, but it is pretty good. Everyone is very nice. The staff and the administration are really good, and that is one of the reasons she enjoys there. She is in a shared room and she's okay with it. She has no complaints. The food is great and they feed her well. They have really good recreation and activities; unfortunately, my mom cannot partake in all of them, but they are always doing something with the residents. "

"I read a lot of negative reviews before my father was admitted after a brain injury. I was worried but in visiting the place, and visiting my father a few times, I did not notice anything that was a cause of concern. I can't testify to the food quality, but the staff is very friendly and attentive. Every time I visited my father, a nurse, or physical therapist, or aide adding ice water or even doctor was there doing their job. I will admit, such a place is scary to be in, as many people who are rehabilitating may be close to death. Such a place can be difficult to walk through, or be in, but that is why friendliness and comfort is so important. Fortunately, my father is now safely back home. Parking is difficult the first time, but the second, third, etc. was easy because once you know that the lot is in the back of the building, (turn right, before the building itself down the alley) it's easier. It can be tough to navigate the parking lot because there is no outlet on the other side, and parking can be pretty full. If you are visiting, I recommend visiting later than early morning where it will be quite busy. "

"My husband is currently staying at Woodcrest Post-Acute & Rehabilitation. I already told my husband if the time should come that I need to be in rehab, put me there. I would go there. The staff is very friendly and caring. They're treating one patient at a time, and they take their time. No rush. The food is better than expected. The facility is spotless. Right now, he's not doing any activities, but they encourage movement, which is important."

"My father has just recently become a resident of Chapman. This was a difficult decision for me. After realizing that dad needed 24 hr care the hospital contacted Chapman. When I arrived I found that it was very clean. The staff was so very helpful to me and asked a lot of questions about my dad and what he enjoys and how his life was prior to arriving there. So far I am very pleased with the care he is getting. The room is terribly small and I was a bit concerned about that but he has what he needs and sleeps much of the day at his age so for now we will deal with that. My opinion is that Chapman seems to go out of their way to mke sure that the enviroment is clean. I come almost every day to see him and there is always some sort of cleaning crew working to shine things up. The residents seem happy and attended to and many are doing activities when I come in. So far I am very pleased with his care."

"A caregiver from Accent Care takes care of me on weekdays from 7 am to 5 pm. He is very good. I would definitely recommend this excellent agency, but they are not registered with Medicare. "

"When my father was originally admitted to CC&RC, the staff seemed overworked and understaffed but they worked as hard and diligently as possible. I had a meeting with the Community Manager and Director of Nursing to express my concerns about the level of care provided to my father. The team listened and made necessary corrections. From that time onward, there were no issues with my father's care. Everyone on the staff from the kitchen all the way to the top is caring and professional. They took excellent care of my father until the day he passed including going the extra mile. I greatly appreciate all that was done for my father and trust them to take as good care of your special someone as they did mine."

"The Community Care on Palm was nice. The place seemed clean, and the people seemed friendly. It was a little more homey. They had carpets on the floors and wallpapers. The director was really nice. It looked like the residents were getting a lot of attention. I liked the place. It was a secured facility. "
