"My father has been in Brookdale Corona for a week now. The overall experience is good. His room is kind of small. The place is very clean and well maintained. I've dealt with four or five different staff members, and my overall experience with them is fair to good. It's clean and it has an outdoor area. He loves being outside so he can be there safely. The outdoor space is green and well-landscaped."

"The staff are very caring. Everything at the facility is very clean and well kept. It has beautiful surroundings. Everybody looks after every resident in their care. For residents who need special diet, they are careful to give them what they should have to eat and prepare their food separately in the main kitchen before dispensing it to the individual cottages. In the cottages, they make sure the plates go to that resident with the special diet. There is always someone on-call 24 hours a day for all of the residents. They provide entertainment at least once a month. For the new residents, they have a group meeting with an outside counselor to discuss whatever issues they have, which I found very helpful."

"Meridian at Chino looked beautiful and very clean. It didn't smell. The people were very, very friendly, and they had elevators. I was informed that the third floor had to be for people who were not in walkers or wheelchairs because of evacuation concerns. That was very prudent. Tori was very friendly and very efficient. She knew what she was talking about and she was able to give me brochures. She was able to take me on a tour and describe the rooms and what goes on there. She was able to give me a two-week menu of what they were serving, and a one-month menu of their extra activities. The structure of the building seemed very well done, and the facilities were clean. I saw three of their very adequate rooms. I liked the bathrooms with the full shower, the handlebars, and the bench to sit on. I felt that the size of the rooms was good. Some of them were larger than others. I also liked the fact that there was a microwave and a refrigerator in each of the units, and enough room for a bed, some storage, and maybe a table and chair, but as far as I know, you would be going to the dining area to eat."

"We went to Estancia Del Sol. It was less expensive for the square feet. It was the first place I went to. A couple of things that I really did like about it were that in the one-bedroom apartment with the kitchenette, they actually had a peninsula countertop where you could sit and eat, so you don't necessarily need to have a dining table. I really liked that, and I also liked the shower. There's a flat floor walk-in shower with just a rubber strip that stops the water from running out, and so that was really nice. They also had a microwave for the one-bedroom, they had three closets, and their transportation radius was 25 miles, which was good. One of the downfalls was that visitors can only visit in the apartment at this time. They also knew the VA clinic available close by. They have a beautiful lobby when you walk in."

"Oakmont offered a lot of amenities. It was a lot larger but not quite as accommodating; they only had studio apartments available. The staff was top notch. The common areas were very good, very clean, very well lit, and very nice. I would absolutely recommend it to others. They were great. "

"We moved our mom here 1 1/2 years ago. The ladies and this facility are amazing. We would recommend them to anyone with a family member that has dementia. They treat everyone with dignity and respect. They have 24/7 care. They truly care for the residents in their care. "

"I went to look at Citrus Place before when I was looking for a place for my sister. I liked it. It was very clean. Of course, it was pre-COVID. It was a couple of years ago. We were looking for respite, and they provided respite on a weekly basis. The staff was very nice. We looked at a studio at that time for my sister and it was pretty small. The rooms were nice and clean. We entered where the dining area was and it was set up very homey. There were tablecloths on the dining room tables. It was very nice. At that time, the food was very good. It was really nice. It was a restaurant-type atmosphere where you could order off the menu and they would give you choices. That was nice, too. The staff were very nice and friendly. The facility was very clean, but older."

"The staff and the rooms were nice. It is a 3 or 4-story building, and it’s a big complex. The dining room was setup nicely and clean. They had a little area where they could choose drinks or water. They have a lounge area and a courtyard where they could sit. The activities they had were bingo, arts and crafts, and church services. The rooms were smaller, and you get a nice high top dresser up there. They have a 1-bedroom apartment, and the staff was nice."

"We toured Cathy's Cottage Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was fantastic. We love the staff. We love the owner. We loved the cleanliness. We loved the care. She cared about her clients that were there. It's just that she only had a room for one person and not two. So it wasn't that we didn't love her facility. It was that there wasn't enough space to have both of my parents, and it was really important to keep them together. It seems like they have different arts and crafts things. Since it's a smaller home, it's not as many larger activities, but they do a lot of one-on-one personal life activities to keep the clients involved and active. All the clients that were there seemed very, very happy, and very, very comfortable. That was actually probably our favorite place. But again, my parents couldn't be there together. We didn't eat there, but she gave us a very, very deep overview of the food. It was great, all home-cooked things, all personalized to the client's diet."

"Aqua Ridge of Montclair was less than a year old, so everything looked new. They had us stay for lunch, and it was excellent. The chef even came up to us while we were eating. The person we talked to was excellent and very friendly. They were located right next to a hospital. They also provided transportation for trips and shopping and doctor's appointments. They had a movie theater, a salon, and a game room. I was impressed with this facility."

"I like Cadence at Rancho Cucamonga. The facility was brand new, so everything was super fresh and clean-looking. We got to eat there, and the food was wonderful. It was well cooked and prepared. They had someone coming in with a piano before we left, and they were singing in this little common area, so they were having a nice time there. We got to see all the common rooms, the beauty salon, and all those kinds of places, which were all nice and well-kept. They were very friendly. The dining area was nice. It had smaller tables with lots of space so that you could move around and be in certain areas. It was comfortable. The kitchen areas were bigger. The rooms were nice. There was the smallest studio, which seemed quite small to me, and then there was one bedroom that seemed fine. The bathrooms were really big and had plenty of room for a wheelchair to move around. They had a nice shower that you just walked right across. You didn't have a ledge to step over, so that was safe. We had a special menu, and we got to order what we wanted. They have different kinds of menus for everyday things."
