"My father is moving in to Atria Del Rey. I gave him three places to choose from, and he picked Atria Del Rey, which was my first choice. The people that support Atria Del Rey are incredible. I loved Mike the director, and the general manager is awesome. I felt everybody there would make my father feel very comfortable and at home. I could come to Virginia and not have to worry every day if my dad was going to be OK. They have everything there, from basket weaving to dancing to exercise to going out to do activities. The food is great. "

"When I first walked in at Oakmont of San Antonio Heights, I actually wrote down that it was lovely. My daughter had the same response. It had very nice people in a really nice community. It's close to Mom's doctor and the hospital. The location is what tipped it in its favor. The staff has been great. When I walked into Mom's room, I felt like walking into a room in a Palm Springs resort. It was really nice, very clean, very bright, roomy, and very pretty. "

"Ivy Park at Alta Loma was nice. I was looking for the memory care and they had that. It was very very clean. The staff was very helpful to the residents. The only least thing about it was the cost, but other than that, it was a great place for someone needed for that. I didn't have a meal there, but they told me about it, that whatever type of diet the residents needed, they would do it, because my mom needed a soft liquid type of meal, and they would be able to do that. They had different activities for them. The room was nice, too. It looks like a little apartment for them. There was probably a two-door room, but they were very separated. They made them feel comfortable like they were in their own home."

"My mom moved into Allara Senior Living. The caregivers are very attentive. The apartment that she's in is very nice and very modern. They clean once a week. They do laundry once a week. They have their meals at the restaurant. It's like a restaurant setting where they have a menu. And the food was good because I've eaten there as well. And my mom raves over the food. She likes it. The community is nice and everyone there is very friendly. They have entertainment. They have people who come in and sing and play music. They go on excursions, but my mom doesn't do that. The community facility is very well-kept and very well-groomed. Landscaping is very nice. There's ample parking."

"Sunlit Gardens Assisted Living was nice. The staff was amazing. The room was nice but didn't have a closet. It was a studio, so it was just a room and a hanging space, where you could only fit five things. The dining area looked nice. It was lunchtime and everyone was eating."

"I went to Oakmont, and it’s a very nice and lovely facility. I would have chosen that except it was $2000 more than I could spend, and it was a longer drive for me. The cleanliness was excellent, and the staff was very professional. "

"My aunt will move into Cadence at Rancho Cucamonga. The people were very nice. The activities - there's something to do every day. The fact that she can order her food and either go to the cafe or have it delivered to her room was great. That was awesome. It's very, very clean. They come into the laundry once a week. They deliver the food. They help you out with her medication, making sure she's taking it every day, and they will walk with her if she wants company while walking. The food was delicious and made to order. The staff was great. She was amazing. She constantly asked my aunt, "How are you feeling? What do you think?" She was really concerned about how she felt about it and how she felt okay with it."

"I went here. I like it. I spoke with them mostly, and the people there were totally genuine, nice, kind, and very helpful. They showed me around. There's a little area outside where people could go and just be outside. They had doctors come in every once a month. They have a salon and they do nails, but you have to sign up if you want to do that. There were different rooms just like the other places. There are single rooms, Jack and Jill rooms, and shared rooms. The building was small on the outside, but it was nice on the inside, too. The staff told me about the different activities that they have, and she gave me a list of all the different activities, but none was going on at the time."

"Glen Park at Glendale was OK. My friend kind of like it except that it had a Hollywood theme, and I think he may have felt a little bit intimidated. All of their hallways had pictures of Hollywood artists, and he said he felt like after a while, he'd grow tired of seeing those pictures. The rooms were fairly nice but a little bit small, and it was a kitchenette and bedroom altogether. It had quite a few spaces where you could go outside to just sit and look around. It was pretty nice, but it just wasn't his cup of tea. They have an activity room and a couple of little spots here and there throughout where people could sit and chitchat. The staff and the director who assisted us were very friendly and nice. Everything was easy to get to. "

"I toured Park View Place. The property itself is beautiful and everything that it offers. They're accommodating. They're sensitive to the fact that she lost everything in a fire, so they're willing to go ahead and furnish the apartment for her. I just thought that the staff was very professional and very caring, so that's what I'm looking for, and also the location. It's a great place. It's immaculate, very warm, and very clean, and it's only three years old."

"Gracious Care #2 was a perfectly clean house. It's a beautiful new home, the room even has a fireplace in it. It's actually $4,000 for a dual and $5,000 for a single, which is out of our price range. The place was immaculate. It was a great community, all brand new homes around it. In fact, the whole area is new. The house itself is really clean and pretty. It would have been perfect if it weren't for the price. Their staff member was good, he was very nice. It was nice that it was a male that was there because my father-in-law is a big guy."

"I toured Clearwater at Glendora, and I love it. I mean if something would happen, I would go there. It was just lovely, and it felt like a five-star hotel. I didn't like the kitchen, but the rooms were very nice. They have a refrigerator. The person who took me around was very communicative. She was just perfect. I have tried the food there, that was delicious. They had an outdoor area; you can do a barbecue there."
