"We really liked the Sunlit Gardens in Alta Loma for my mom because my mother-in-law was also there. She was in assisted living, and she was there until she passed. They were just amazing. They did every single thing they possibly could to help my mom, and they were really, really good. I was very comfortable with my mom being there. The staff was all very caring. I can't really base the food on her because she just stopped eating once she got there. I've eaten there before, and the food was really good. They had music in the living room, and they had lots of stuff going on. The place was also very clean and very nice."

"Rooms are a variety of single, double, and/or triple occupancy. Staff is attentive, very cordial and truly enjoys assisting and attending to those living at La Hacienda, unlike larger facilities who employ anyone who wants a job, but doesn't necessarily have to have experience or enjoy providing health care. Meals are catered to individuals wants/needs. "

"I toured the skilled nursing part of Claremont Manor. My only concern was that the rooms were extremely small. My dad's bathroom was bigger than the entire room. I didn't like the appearance of the place. It wasn't that it was dirty, it was just antiseptic, like a hospital. The staff member who helped me was very accommodating and very nice. They have some activities, but I was turned off. I saw people sitting around in wheelchairs and they just looked like they were lost. However, if you need a skilled nursing place, this one was clean, they looked like they have enough help, and they were very nice."

"I went here. I thought their facilities were very nice and well maintained. They had a very nice courtyard for better weather. It looked like all the facilities were very uplifting and it's a good environment. They had both the memory care and the regular assisted living and for my brother, it would've been the assisted living. Assisted living, however, was kind of restricted. They don't handle people with IVs and things like that. Everybody I saw or talked to was very helpful and pleasant. The dining room looked perfectly clean, very sharp and a very good environment for dining. They had just about everything that assisted living would need, exercise, entertainment, and arts and crafts. It was in a very nice building and very well maintained. Everything was very clean and very nice."

"We went to Cadence at Rancho Cucamonga. It was one of the top two. What it came down to for us, was location and pricing. So the actual esthetics, decor, and update of cadence were nice. We liked how their floor plan was, and their rooms were a lot more than the other place. But the issue for my parents is that they are still Kaiser patients and the Kaiser that they went to, where their primary doctors are, happens to be closer to Chino than Rancho Cucamonga. So that was more convenient for transportation purposes. And then Cadence was more expensive. As soon as you got to higher levels of care, and the prices increased astronomically to where those higher levels of care started occurring, that was going to be out of my parent's price range if they both got to level five. The add-ons were astronomical. We love Cadence, we love the staff, we love the activities, we loved everything about it, and they could afford probably everything up to level three. But as soon as you start getting to level four and level five, it's triple the rent, and that was going to be too much. They had a lot of activities. They had a lot of amenities. You're paying for what you get. The place was the cleanest. The staff were amazing. They had physical activities. When we were there, they had a musician there, so they have music activities, they have arts, they have field trips, and the activities are fantastic. We didn't get to eat the food. However, they were trying to get us to eat it, so it looked amazing, and the dining hall was beautiful."

"Oakmont was one of the most impressive. It had a warm, caring feeling. The City Hall is on it, but it is more in the country part. It's more than just independent living. They had some form of nursing care because they have an area for memory issues like Alzheimer's. I was impressed. It was something I could compare everything to. The lady who took me around knew a lot of people, so I could tell that she was involved. She and everybody else on the staff that she introduced me to seemed to be caring. I watched them talk to other people who were obviously residents. She did take me to talk to one gentleman who lived there in his room and everything looked good. The room was spacious enough, but what was shown to me was the cheapest of the rooms, so it was smaller. The facility, because it's relatively new, was excellent. "

"We toured The Terraces at Via Verde - A Memory Care Community. The staff seemed friendly. It seemed like there was very good attention on dementia care. They try to keep the layout from a different floor the same for more comfort, and they're more trained to specialize in caring for dementia patients. It didn't seem as upkept; it was a little outdated."

"Glen Park at Glendale - Mariposa St. was a nice facility. It's clean. The staff was very nice. They showed me the whole facility and what they have to offer, the activities that go on there, and the surrounding area. I asked about what type of area it was and also they were talking about field trips that are eventually going to start pretty soon with the residents there. They were nice people. The rooms were pretty nice but basic. I was looking at a suite for my parents possibly, so they could have the same room and it's pretty nice. It seems like it was a little bit older, but nothing bad. It was a nice room with access to a patio. They also have themes like 50s themes, 40s, and different types of themes. The staff during the tour was very nice and very helpful. She said once we figure out what the status of my parents is, they could figure out what part of the facility they could be housed in. They have the typical things like checkers, puzzles, bingo, and television."

"I checked out the memory care at Gracious Care #2 and it was very quiet, very clean, and very well-kept. I went there twice. They had food cooking and everything seemed to be in order. The staff was very friendly, very accommodating, and answered all my questions. All the rooms were clean (including the bathrooms) and all the beds were made. There was a walk-in shower which would be helpful for older people with mobility issues. They have a big backyard with two patios for them to have outdoor activities or get outside. I'm very pleased with what I saw."

"My husband has moved into Clearwater at Glendora. We really like all that the facility has to offer. They offered special move-in rates, which were unbelievable. They just seemed really caring and helpful. When making the decision and moving in, it was a no brainer. I saw their movie room, their weight room, their bar, and their restaurant. I have tried their food and it was delicious. In terms of upkeep, it's super clean and upkept really well."
