"Cadence at Rancho Cucamonga is one of the places that I've visited that is excellent. It was more expensive and the facilities were not as nice. It wasn't as luxurious as far as the outside, and the grounds were not as nice as the one we chose for my parents. Their rooms were really nice, and the staff was excellent. There was no pool. It was on the corner, which was kind of an unsafe area. It's on a corner with lots of traffic. Since my dad drives, I wanted him to be in an area where it was a safer or more residential type neighborhood. It's an assisted living; it also has independent living, as well as memory care. The courtyard was kind of ugly. It had desert plants, and I told them that they should have planted more luscious pretty flowers. That was my only complaint; otherwise, it was all great. The food wasn't that great. It was mediocre."

"We chose here for my grandmother because the facility was nice and clean. It's a beautiful place. The staff and administrators there were caring, very helpful, and accommodating. We needed to make the move happen rather quickly, they were very accommodating, and Tammy went above and beyond to make this an easy process for us. My grandma's room is spacious, clean, and modern. They have movie nights, they have a chapel, they play bingo, and they have shopping trips. I've tried the food, and it was pretty good. My grandmother loves it and has no complaints. For activities, I would like to see more opportunities for them to leave the community, like going to the casino or something like that."

"We toured Holiday Valencia Commons. They were very friendly. We had a very nice lunch. We had one of the residents with us at lunch, so it was nice to talk to somebody firsthand who lived there. She'd lived there two years. They had lovely grounds. We weren't so happy with the unit that we were shown. It would show better if it had furniture in it. It was just a barebone, empty apartment, and the kitchen area was just a very barebone stripped-down kitchen area, which was not pleasing to us. We would prefer more kitchen than they had. The place was lovely. We were given a sheet of the activity list, and it looked like they had all kinds of fun activities going on and that people enjoyed living there. They're going to be starting construction on renovation, so they're going to be bringing it more up to date. It looked very nice as it was. It was a lovely, lovely area and lovely grounds. There're lots of big trees and grassy areas, and we liked that. We're looking for something with patio space outside, and those units have very tiny outdoor space. They only have independent living, and then if you need assisted living, they can have people come in and assist you there. It just wasn't the best facility for us, but the tour itself was very comprehensive. The person who toured us was very helpful and very pleasant. They answered all our questions and sent us with plenty of information and a box of home-baked muffins. My husband is a diabetic and it didn't seem like they had much to offer him on the menu, but what we had for lunch was good."

"Oakmont of San Antonio Heights was very nice, but it was too expensive for my father. The room was nice. The person during the tour was great and very informative. The dining area was nice, too. The place was clean and professional looking. They were just setting up for activities when I was there. They had everything. It was fancy."

"West Park Senior Living was a lovely place. They're very friendly and it's just nice. One thing that impressed my mom was the size of the rooms. They were large. We also had a meal there and she liked what she had. She had some pork dish and I had a veggie sandwich, which I wasn't crazy about, but they had a lot of other choices. I just happened to pick that one. They have a lot of different activities, nonstop all day. So, mom is going to have a lot of choices of things to do. Cindy was the director and she was great, too. They keep everything clean.They're in the middle of remodeling so when it's done, I'm going to give them a 5 rating. Right now, it's a 4 plus. They keep everything clean."

"I went to Park View Place. The apartment has huge, huge doors. They had stoves. It was an inductive stove. They had a bedroom and a living room. There was a nice bathroom. All of them have walk-in showers. It had a shower seat, one of the teakwood or whatever it is, shower seats. They had a restaurant. We ate there. They had tablecloths and silver service. It was upscale and elegant. The dining room chairs are like what you would have in your house. The furnishings were a little more upscale. The decor that they decided on at Parkview was different but still new."

"I felt so comfortable visiting here. I felt like it was home. I took my dog with me because they said they were pet-friendly and I loved the place. Everybody was just in a good mood. They were singing along in the lobby and I saw the way the people were acting towards the residents and they were great. The grounds and everything about it were beautiful. They were nice, easy to access, and clean. It's perfect. It's just not what I want right now. Someday maybe, since I still wanted to do my own stuff."

"My mother is here. They have a gym, they have theaters, then they have concerts. They have a lot of stuff, and they have a schedule. They even take them out and go shopping, so they get transportation to go shopping. They're able to go in and out whenever they want. They don't need to ask for permission, it's enough to let them know that they're going to be gone for a while. Her room is very nice. It looks like an apartment, and it's a two-bedroom, so she can have somebody there with her. But she has the master bedroom, a walk-in closet, and her own bathroom. Then they have another bathroom and another room. Then they have the living room, balcony, and a little kitchen with a counter, sink, and a refrigerator. It's a really nice place. We're actually happy and she's happy there."

"Clearwater at Glendora is very nice. It's very large, and sometimes when you go upstairs where the rooms are, it looks like a maze, which is fine, but it just seems a little informal. The staff who gave the tour seemed great. The facility itself was very clean and pretty modern. It seemed pretty new. Everything was great inside. They had a large gym and a physical therapy area."

"Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine."

"It was great. The room was like a nice, one-bedroom small apartment. It was perfect for my father, but he was going through some medical issues and was in and out of the VA, so really going there wouldn't be helpful to him right now. They had lots of games, though. They had a nice, big game room, and everybody looked happy. My father really wanted to get in; we even gave him a deposit, but then the next day, he went to the hospital and has been there for three weeks. He got back out but he went back in. They were very nice because they gave us the deposit back, so we have nothing but good things to say about them. The dining area was very nice, big, and clean. It was a very nice community in a nice downtown with lots of stores and places to see and museums nearby. It's definitely a great place."

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

"It is probably the nicest senior community I saw based on their facilities and the people that were there. I met some of the residents and they were also very nice. This place is actually a little nicer than the other place I visited. They have a courtyard, they offer transportation, clubs are available inside, as well as activities like wine-tasting and things of that nature. I would rate their apartments a five. They look out onto a jogging trail."

"I went to Westmont Village. I found it very clean. The only reason I chose the other one was because it's five minutes from my house. I liked all the stuff they had going. They had a little bit more to offer. The staff during the tour was great and he did a lot of follow-ups with me, too, afterwards. I don't remember any of the activities, but I like that they had a barber shop, a little cafe, and a TV like a theater and that type of stuff. I really liked it a lot."
