Corona RCFE

Initially, when I did the Corona RCFE, I wasn't entirely impressed. When I went there, I had an appointment for a tour, yet the person had no idea. The people who would have been responsible for that were not working on a Saturday, so that was a little disappointing. However, the person at the front desk did provide me with a tour and the location was clean enough. Being that my mother struggles with a lot of her day-to-day duties, like her laundry and things like that, all of that was an additional cost. So the baseline was like $3000 and then additional costs for those services which she wouldn't be able to afford. It was very minimalistic. It had very few activities. The activity room was very small. I went on a Saturday, so it was very quiet. There wasn't anything for me to see. It was very difficult to make a good observation. Basically, I got to see the room. When you first enter the door, there's like an area where people can sit and watch TV. There wasn't much to it. There was a single person who was monitoring the front part, and there was nobody else there for me to meet with or see. The kind lady at the front desk showed me around and she wasn't able to answer my questions because that wasn't what she does.

Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine.
