"I love The Fountains at Sea Bluffs because the place was gorgeous, the rooms were fine, and the dining area was spectacular. They had a swimming pool, an activity room, and a big open room where they do exercise classes, which were very nice. I would definitely recommend this place as long as you have enough money. "

"My dad and my sister were residents of Artesia Christian Home. The facility is spotless. They've got a good, great staff, and they're very accommodating. They had maybe a small bump in the road every once in a while, but other than that, things were fine. Their staff was excellent. They're very friendly. They're very quick to help in critical situations. We're just really pleased with them. They loved the food. The kitchen staff was excellent, too. They put on quality products. They've got a little open area of patios. If you want to meet your family there, they have a nice place for you to meet. They also have little meeting areas throughout the home. There's a nice, quiet neighborhood around there. So if you want to take a walk around the block, you can. My father used to do that quite regularly and he enjoyed it. They have Bible studies there. They have group activities. They bring people in throughout the month as far as there might be a Bible teacher who comes in, maybe motivational people. They do little exercise classes. They keep the residents busy. This is the thing about it. The folks were bathed. They're washed. They're dressed and they're ready at a time in the morning when they're serving breakfast. So, everybody comes out there, they're dressed, they're clean, and that's how they start your day. They got the staff doting over them for the rest of the day. They've got a little aviary. It's a big bird cage and they keep that very active. I love the variety of the little birds that they put in there. They have a little garden area if you want to grow some tomatoes or put something like that."

"The aspect that made Inland Christian Home stand out above other assisted living facilities that I have visited was the quality of the staff that worked with the clients. Like other places I have visited, this facility offers some of the standard activities and services for elderly residents. I saw people engaged in games, coming home from outings, and eating and chatting together. Another thing I liked about this facility is that it offers a number of different levels for residents, ranging from independent living to constant care. It is nice not to have to move to a different facility when one's level of care changes. But as I said before, the quality of the staff is what distinguishes this facility--staff members were patient and seemed to really know the personalities of the residents, down to the names of their grandchildren. The staff also seems to stick around, which makes for a more stable environment. "

"I visited Town & Country Manor. My visit was very positive. It's a very well-maintained community and the staff was good. It was one of my choices, but I changed my mind because the location is in a busy area of Santa Ana. They have lots of amenities and I was very pleased. I saw their dining area as well, as well as a 1-bedroom, 1-bath, which was adequate. Their amenities were upscale. I also met the staff when they were doing physical therapy, yoga and things like that. They were very warm and accommodating."

"I only didn't give Pilgrim's Place a five because I have not been to that many assisted-living facilities and I don't know if it is truly the best of the best. What I can say from what I've heard about assisted-living places, is that it must come pretty close. I am a student in Claremont and I visited Pilgrim's Place in order to talk to some residents about their lives. I have hard many horror stories about assisted living facilities, but this one was nothing like that. It was clean and cheerful. The residents seemed happy and well taken care of. Like most of Claremont, the building itself was very nice and welcoming. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well. Although I have not had relatives stay here, I would recommend it without a doubt and can only hope that I end up in a place like this in my old age, if needed be. I couldn't find anything wrong with this place at all. "

"Mt. San Antonio Gardens is near where I live. It's a lifecare community and it is very pleasant. It has a central dining hall, library, and community dining room. They have apartment type facilities and a lot of small duplexes/cottages. The grounds are very clean. They have a couple of open houses and information sessions a couple of times a year and I've tasted their food. It was delicious. The dining area was clean, neat, and didn't smell at all."

"My mom has moved and was placed in a facility. She's now in Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga. Merrill Gardens was chosen because the facility had individual kitchens, a very large patio, a private patio, and because of the location; it is very close to my sister. My mom is very pleased. The staff is excellent. The facilities are almost new; it is only about a year-and-a-half old. Everything is in excellent condition and excellent shape. They were very helpful. My mom seems to be very happy there. I could not rate the activities at this point. She is currently in quarantine, so she hasn't been able to participate in any activities."

"Hillcrest was great, beautiful, have lots of gardens and they have a bird sanctuary and they were bigger. My concern was that it might be kind of big for somebody that has trouble walking, but I think everything is probably accessible in their area. It seemed like they had good medical attention in both. It is very nice looking, inviting like you would want to live there, and very well kept up. They have a pool, they have a lot of amenities, they have a chapel, and shuttles can just take them to places, and they have cottages. People help and showed us around; it was very nice. The food was really good, and they were stimulating them socially. "

"I recently visited Regents Point. I was impressed with the community it has all the levels of care. The independent living was very nice, the staff was very friendly. It's near a shopping center and next to Mason Park, so the environment surrounding was very nice. My tour guide did an exceptional job she was knowledge and very accommodating They have flexibility in the rooms, which made it unique. I thought the Assisted Living was very nice. They had a variety of activities. What most impressed me was how happy the residents smiled as they said I've been living here for years. The best decision I made. Very nice community!"

"I have been a resident since May 2016. The freedom to continue my enjoyment in the way I pursue happiness didn't diminish but was enhanced by the Transition. Day to day one selects from many options what to think about and what activity to engage in.. Staff is concerned with your well being, and at the same time allow for alternative choices. Its been stated we the residents are on a stationary cruise ship. steady, unsinkable, and based on a moral foundation. From the maintenance crew, grounds keeping, housekeeping, food service, activities to administration all are in harmony on the same page to provide what can be described as A Heavily Earth... "

"The Covington was really nice; the staff was wonderful; and the residents were wonderful. Every single person who works there was caring. They serve three meals a day and snacks. My grandma participated in the workout classes and the happy hours. "

"I visited The Tower on 19th's senior apartments. It is 18 stories, but every time I've gone in there, it's very clean and very quiet. I never heard a lot of noise, and I didn't see a lot of people. The senior community and the people that you meet there seem to be friendly. It's not an assisted living facility, and you have to be independent to be there. They have laundry in the building, and whatever floor you're on, they have a trash chute that goes down to the basement. They have a library and a place where they have a piano. The staff members are pretty good and very helpful. They tried to help me as much as they could. The apartments have kitchens in them, so they don't have food provided at the place."

"I have been to Plymouth Village Redlands. The one thing really nice about that place is when you want to move there, when you're in your later 60s, then they will care for you until the passing of your life. Once you move in the fee doesn't go up at all. I had gone there several times through my church, and we had done a lot of singing there and visiting there. We were together in small groups, and it seemed like people for the most part were pretty content with being there and the care and attention they were being given. The touring bus that they have there is always ready and open to take people to places in the evening time and the day time, not just here in Redlands, but even outside Redlands. We went to the dining room and it reminded me of my mother's and my grandmother's cooking, it's a huge variety, it's not repetitive of each other, week in and week out, and even month to month, it's very unusual, and very different. When we were all outside walking around, the staff all greeted us and welcomed us there."

"I got interested in Merrill Gardens at Huntington Beach because when I walked in, it felt like I was home. They serve meals any time of the day from 7 in the morning to 7 p.m., which I like. I do not like to be regulated to eat between certain hours per meal. The second thing is, it has a washer-dryer in every room. I like that. The reason I picked it is because of the dinner hours. "
