"I was very impressed with Brighton Gardens' facility and staff; and especially their patient-specific Memory Care program. My client has been here for almost a year - and I have seen an improvement rather than a decline - as you often see in Assisted Living facilities. That to me, speaks very highly of the facility and the services that they provide. My client was also very happy being at this facility. He would often mention how the staff were very attentive and compassionate toward the other clients; and they would always speak to him whenever they passed by him. They also offered Individualized Service Plans, which customized the care for each client and their specific needs. And, it is in a great location as well - just south of Chino Hills. Although it is quite a commute from LA - it is worth being in the area that this facility is located in. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in the East LA / Anaheim area. "

"My father was at Gordon Lane Care Center. It was an older place, and the food was fine. They did very good physical therapy there. The only thing I did not care for was they had rooms with 3 residents to a room. I thought 2 to a room probably should be the most that they should have. "

"I visited Kindred frequently when my brother was admitted there. I was very pleased with the facility and staff. My family was kept up to speed on what was happening with my brother, such as how he was progressing with physical and speech therapy. The staff members were very friendly and also were very knowledgeable as to what was occuring with their patients. The facility overall was very clean and pleasant, the lobby contained an aquarium and the room in which my brother was staying has a flowers and colorful plants outside. An aspect which i enjoyed at Kindred was that they allowed pets to visit. I was able to bring my brother's dog to visit him and we could tell how happy it made my brother. The only negative aspect that i feel should be mentioned is that the woman who works at the front desk constantly had a man hanging around, we thought it may have been her boyfriend. Another downside is that the facility is very large and the hallways can be confusing. Overall, Kindred provided a great facility for my brother along with a helpful staff. "

"The staff was very friendly and welcoming always asking if you needed anything while smiling. I volunteered to help here a few times, because my mother was a nurse there. The rooms were quite nice and I had fun helping with bingo. At first It seemed kind of big like you could get lost easily, but it was very easy to get around. The place had everything you could need. There were the main houses where you live if you don't need that much assistance. Then there's the other part where you would stay if you couldn't really function or if you were injured; the nurses here were always so friendly.My grandmother stayed at Sunrise of La Palma California, another assisted living home, and I must say that Park Vista was a whole new level of friendly compared to Sunrise. My one complaint about the place is that the ceilings seem kind of low but from wall to wall everything is all good. It's really quiet around the place and being there at night can feel kind of spooky and lonely but all in all its a nice place to be. "

"Admitted my mom for post- stroke care and rehab. She's been to one other skilled nursing center and my family finds Windsor to be much better. The facility is well managed, the staff is very professional and outwardly caring, food seems fresh, and things are clean and neat. They have 2 nursing stations so patients are well supervised and their response time to patient needs is good. I've worked with a handful of the nurses there and they all seem knowledgeable. The area in Fullerton is safe and quiet."

"My father stayed in St. Jude Medical Center rehab for 2 weeks. It’s an acute rehab within an acute care hospital. It’s a very well respected program, and the staff was very good. They have very few wards where there are two or three beds. It’s clean and the rehab center is well run. They have all forms of rehab. They have OT, PT, and physical medicine. This was where we wanted him, and it worked out perfectly well. He went from the acute side to the rehab side so we never had to leave the building. "

"The care is better than we received at the local hospital. The staff is very patient oriented. There was one small problem, in that a dressing change that resulted in an infection requiring a ambulance transport to the hospital with a billing of ER care and ambulance. When faced with the back charge, the facility hesitated and has not credited. Buit again the care was commendable. "

"I visited a close friend of mine who's loving his stay at St. Elizabeth. The staff were super welcoming and friendly and checked in on my friend often. He said the food was better than expected with lots of variety and felt he was recovering faster than expected too. His follow up doctors have all been impressed with his progress. The facility smelled nice and seemed very clean. I'm glad there are people that are passionate about elderly care, and I feel safe with him at St. Elizabeth. "

"I have toured this facility. It is a locked facility specializing in patients with dementia. It is clean and well maintained. It seems safe and is located on a nice quite street. Located w/ in minutes of a large hospital. Nice walkways and couryards. It seems homelike and all the staff are courteous, well trained in dementia care. They have a bird aviary. The patients seem happy and well cared for. The downside is that it is not very close to shopping. I would consider this facility for a loved one who wanders and it is one of the very few secured faciilities in Orange County. "

"I would not recommend Harbor Villa Care Center to anyone. My mom was there for four or five weeks and she was sent there by the hospital. Although they took great care in making sure everybody was COVID-free, my mother fell during her stay there, and then she developed a sore that was never able to be cured. So, that was on their watch. The main caregivers were inexperienced. That's why mom fell because the lady didn't know enough to call for help, to assist her in moving my mother to the bathroom, for example. I said to her that she should have just changed her on the bed or called for help. Communication was also a factor in the low rating. The activities were very limited. Due to my mother's condition, she wasn't particularly participating. She was left sitting for long, long periods of time, which was why she developed a sore on her body. The atmosphere was just depressing. The food looked pretty good, though."

"The hospital took my mom to La Palma Nursing Center. It's a small facility, but she likes it there very much because it was very clean and orderly. The staff were very friendly. They talk to her and they didn’t ignore her like in the other places that she has been. She was in a private room at first and then she went into a two bedroom with a roommate. It was more than adequate; very nice room. My mom is not yet ready to participate with their activities. I was able to see their breakfast one time and it’s a very typical breakfast. My mom likes the breakfast food, but the rest of the food, she says she did not like it so much. "
