"The Meridian at Anaheim Hills was very nice. We had lunch at the restaurant and the food was pretty good. They had lots of residents and lots of activities. They had buses that take the residents to the casinos. Everything there was first class. I met the director and she was very nice."

"My stepmom moved to Sunrise of Orange. It gives off a nice vibe. They're very caring, and the staff goes above and beyond. I was able to taste the food, and it was very good. The building is very clean and brand new. They offer painting, reading, piano, and socialization activities. It's a happy environment."

"My friend moved into Bliss Care Home. This is a boarding place. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very nice. Everything is very nice. It has a nice backyard, lots of fruit trees, an area where they can sit out, and a covered gazebo. Their living atmosphere is friendly, quiet, and nice. They have activities for the guests. The other three women that are there are nice. She has someone to converse with. I would put someone in there again if I had to. I would use their services again. I haven't found a problem with them."

"I went to Cogir of Brea. It wasn't spacious, but for the population, it accommodated them well. But it just didn't feel as warm as it seemed. It was very modern. It was more or less a hotel, I would say. They had a small courtyard and an arts and crafts type room. The dining area is more cafeteria-like."

"Kirkwood Orange was very nice. I like the place. That's where I would like my friend to go. It's very clean and it's very nice. The food was good. The people are just absolutely wonderful. Everybody is friendly. Everybody says hello. They're talking to her making her feel comfortable. The salad was very good, but I thought that the food was a little on the dry side. The facility was very clean. It's got a very nice appeal outside."

"I toured. The rooms were really nice; the majority were private. They had an open house type of event when I was there, which was kind of cool, and I met a few people. Liza was very nice. She gave me a good tour. They had some nice amenities like the library and entertainment room."

"Oakmont of Fullerton was very nice. It's a brand new place, it was just big. There's nothing bad about that place. It's gorgeous. It's beautiful. It just opened up I think in March. They had a secure place for Alzheimer's and they had activities and things to do. These places were all the same price-wise and everything. They had music. They all had the same type of activities. There's only so much they can do. They had a little garden. You could live there yourself if you had enough money to live in an apartment."

"My mother was at Richman Gardens in Fullerton for over 3 years and has just past away at the age of 88. She had dementia, COPD, and heart problems. I can't say enough about this facility, the workers were always friendly and very helpful and always gave my mother the best care possible even if she didn't want it. They always called me right away if something wasn't right about my mom and I trusted them with my mom. She loved the place and wasn't scared there at all. The place is small only 26 beds but that is exactly what I liked about it! The gardens are amazing and very relaxing. Sincerely Linda W. "

"The Oakmont of Chino Hills was a beautiful facility, we were very impressed, and it was within our budget. I was impressed by its cleanliness, and the attentiveness of the staff. The place was very nice, and it was even luxurious, but I think my father was intimidated by it. They were just holding their first community concert since the COVID-19 quarantine, but they were wearing masks and practicing social distancing. What they were offering prior to the quarantine was really impressive; they had a great program. We saw the menu, the food looked great, they had a lot of options, and the options were impressive. The staff was top notch and they were great."

"As a resident of two years,and a highly educated person, I am fully disappointed in how this administration is as phoney as I have ever experienced. I also find them wholly unqualified to deal with residents, problems, outcomes. There is no follow through or any explanations as to why not. The lack of conscious thinking or acting is appalling. This is no place I would ever send a loved one. "

"It was an airy place, high ceilings, and a feeling like an old mansion. They had very warm and friendly people there. There was a bistro café as you walk in on the side that offered coffee and snacks to the residents and the guests. It was like an old nice hotel. The staff were very helpful,. They were right on it all the time -- everything that was needed -- and followed up with my mother. The apartments were pretty and surrounded by trees and walking paths. It was very green looking out the window. The one-bedroom didn't have a door between the bedroom and the living room, but it did go around the corner, so there was some sense of privacy between the two. There were two closets, a good sized bathroom, and a kitchen. It looked nice, and I thought I want to live here. The menu was on the elegant side; it wasn't just macaroni and cheese and hotdogs, but different kinds of nice salads, roast beef, and chicken done in different ways. It was like a restaurant menu rather than a cafeteria. The dining area was quite large, and people could sit by themselves if they wanted to. There's also a family dining room. They also told me that they get their orders based on the choices of the day, and they come and bring them their food. They had physical activities like exercise classes and community college classes where instructors would come in and teach, and they had some games and movie nights. "

"My mom is living here, and the community is very nice. It's very well furnished, and it doesn’t have odor or smell like most senior communities do. It's just very pleasant for the family to visit. We like the staff. My mother does not like the food there, and that is about the (only) complaint we have. But other than that, it is fine. Her apartment is very spacious. It's a one-bedroom with a large bath and a small kitchenette. The living room is large, which is good because she is in a wheelchair. They have a lot of activities, but my mother-in-law is blind, so she can't participate in a lot, but they try to accommodate her and make larger bingo cards for her so she could play bingo. They give us a calendar with all the activities, like holiday events. They include the family."
