"The room in Meridian was clean. They were going to re-carpet, and re-paint for us. We love that we won’t cook anymore, and they’re going to serve three meals a day. They served us lunch, and it was delicious. There’s plenty of activities there. "

"We toured Sunrise of Orange. When we walked in there was a group exercise class going on, and the attendants looked like they were enjoying it. There was music being played, and they were doing movements to music, and the place was gorgeous. The public rooms were lovely and there's a nice outdoor space. It overlooks the park, which has a pond and ducks, and lots of happiness. The facility itself is extraordinarily beautiful. The person showing us around was a young, lovely woman. I was there with my friend and she showed the two of us around, and she was nice. Very informative. The starting pay, or the starting prices were more than I can afford unfortunately, but if somebody could afford it, it looks fabulous. We spoke to a couple of people who were residents there, and they seemed to be very happy. They said the food was wonderful and the dining room was really pretty and nicely set up. We only looked at the single room and it was very nicely appointed. It had a nice big bathroom that would accommodate a wheelchair or whatever device you might need for mobility. They had nice big elevators. Lots of guest parking. If I could afford it, I would have my husband there in a heartbeat."

"My friend moved into Bliss Care Home. This is a boarding place. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very nice. Everything is very nice. It has a nice backyard, lots of fruit trees, an area where they can sit out, and a covered gazebo. Their living atmosphere is friendly, quiet, and nice. They have activities for the guests. The other three women that are there are nice. She has someone to converse with. I would put someone in there again if I had to. I would use their services again. I haven't found a problem with them."

"I went to Cogir of Brea. It wasn't spacious, but for the population, it accommodated them well. But it just didn't feel as warm as it seemed. It was very modern. It was more or less a hotel, I would say. They had a small courtyard and an arts and crafts type room. The dining area is more cafeteria-like."

"I visited Kirkwood Orange. I was pleased and quite impressed with it. I was impressed with the staff. I was impressed with the people interacting with each other. The place was beautiful, and it looked quite comfortable. The staff seemed knowledgeable, and they seemed to have every level of care I could ever wanted. It was smaller than most facilities, which was what I was looking for. I do not want a big old hospital place. One thing that really impressed me was that I could visit anytime of the day or night. At night, the outer door was locked, but you could ring the bell, and somebody would open it for you. You also had the password to the rooms and things so that you could come and visit your loved ones anytime. You could have meals with them if you wanted to, and that impressed me. "

"I visited Cambridge Court. They were very knowledgeable. The place was very clean. The only thing that I was not too fond of was that it is two stories. It doesn't bother me too much, as long as my mother would be on the second floor. They were a lot more affordable, but they were also further away from home. "

"My mother is already in a place called Best Elderly Care. She loves it. The staff seems to be very attentive to all of her needs. There are only six people living there. It's a very good place. My mother loves the food. She also loves the people. She has been there for a little over a month now and she really likes it. She loves her room. It has a view and a garden right outside. "

"I've heard so many horror stories of neglect and substandard living conditions in an assisted living facility. The idea of placing my elderly relative in an institutional setting mortified us. Golden Life Manor has exceeded all of our expectations and completely changed our opinion of how an elderly should be treated and cared for, The staff is knowledgeable, caring and so accommodating. The home is truly a 'Home" with charming private rooms, clean and well appointed interior to beautiful manicured yard for outdoor relaxation all located in a safe and serene neighborhood. All the meals are prepared fresh daily, mindful of any dietary restrictions as well as nutritious and most importantly, delicious! I can attest to their high standards of care and professionalism they provide to its residents and their families. This Board and Care is no ordinary facility. This is a true Gem and I highly recommend Golden Life Manor! "

"The location of Emeritus at Brea was convenient for my sister, that's why we chose to check this place for her. It is in the same neighborhood that she is living in now, so friends would not have to go further distance to find her should she decide to choose this place. The facility is very clean. We did check the rooms and I found them to be a little smaller than I had hoped for. However, price-wise, all of the services that go with the facility would probably offset the size of the rooms. Their dining room was nice. The sales staff that I met were very nice. Residents that I got to talk to seemed content. I think that pets are welcomed in this facility. It is a nice perk for people that had pets. However, they don't have very many gardens for people to enjoy very much. They could improve on this. Another thing I would like this facility to have is maybe if they can have a private dining area with a kitchen for a family to come in and cook a special meal so that they can have a meal together with their loved one who is staying in this facility. That would be nice. "

"Citrus Hills Assisted Living was tired. It needed painting. They got concrete floors, no carpeting. The staff seemed to be good, but I wasn't there long enough to assess much other than looking at the facility and its accommodations. The dining area was fine. The outdoor area was upstairs and it was an open air patio area. It was OK."
