My mom stayed at Ivy Park at Bradford and we still go back there quite often. They've invited my mom to come for music since once a week they have music and happy hour. Everybody knows my mom there. She doesn't remember them as much, but they remember her. She stayed in their assisted living and had a beautiful room with a beautiful view. All the caregivers were very kind, considerate, and helped us when her dementia started to get really bad. They were very cautious and careful with her as she is diabetic. They are very sweet people. The administrator there is very welcoming and very loving, it was what drew us to them in the first place. It's a very serene environment too and they play a lot of games. My mom was never into games or anything, but they have a lot of games and activities, and they're constantly engaging with the residents. They have beautiful meals and even family time. They have picnics, a luau, and mothers and fathers day things. They also have a Halloween festival where everybody dresses up. I have some grandkids who would come out and just be present for my mom and it was a pleasant experience. It's expensive but if I had the money, she probably would have stayed a little longer. Her care needed more, and she couldn't stay but they're a great place.

My mother is in Ivy Park at Bradford. She's in memory care there. It's very nice, well-kept, and very clean. It feels like a home. It doesn't feel clinical. It feels like a place you would want to live. The staff is topnotch, number one, best in the biz, fantastic, outstanding. I couldn't be happier. There's bingo, they take trips to Wal-Mart or local stores, there are arts and crafts types of things, they have board game nights, they have brain game puzzles and coffee in the morning. They have people that come in and sing. There's trivia. That's probably about half the stuff, so there's more than that, but I'm not sure what else offhand. It's not cheap, but it's worth it, mom's worth it.

Ivy Park at Bradford was a nice place. I liked it. They're very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was good. I liked the layout. They showed me a private room and a shared room for two people. They have a big common area. When I was there they were having dinner. I liked the setting. It's very accommodating for the memory residents. It's really secured. I met the executive director. She was the only one available. The room they showed me was very clean.

I was very impressed with Ivy Park at Bradford. The rooms were big. I like the idea that the doctors come to the facility, so the resident would not have to be driven to the doctor's office. They also have a podiatrist who comes. I like that the memory care was separated and that they had a lot of personal attention. The place was very clean, neat, and serene. The staff member was very patient and understanding. They took the time to answer all questions.

I visited Ivy Park at Bradford. It was a very good tour. I saw both the assisted living and the memory care facility and the manager was very helpful. It was amazing to me how she knew so many of the residents by name and was happy to engage with them, even as she was kind of showing me the facility. It was very obvious that she cared for the clients. I saw one of the rooms that was open, so it was nice.

Ivy Park at Bradford was very nice. I appreciate the assistance. I don't know if she was the care manager, but she was very thorough. They have a CNA on staff. Overall, I liked it. She showed me the dining room, which was like a little snack area. I saw the seating area, which was more of their living room. She walked me through the patio area. She walked me into the room, like an empty room, so I was able to see the size of that. There was a card room, the library. She showed me another room upstairs. One thing that I thought was good is that the elevator was out, I guess they're getting the elevator replaced. But they did have someone that was sitting on the landing of the stairs, they had a person sitting there the whole day to assist anybody who needed to go up and down the stairs. So that was great.

Our overall experience with Ivy Park at Bradford was amazing. It was great. Wonderful. The staff were very friendly, very nice, and professional. The condition of the place was clean, and it smelled nice. It was very, very nice. They gave us a box, and that was pretty good. When we got there they were doing crafts, and a lot of people were watching a movie. The grounds were beautiful and people were outside. It was nice.

My father has already moved into Ivy Park at Bradford. I like the place. It's bright and warm. The people there are nice. What I don't like is that I was told initially that I would be able to manage my father's medicines, and then later on down the road, when it came time to sign the paperwork, they told me, 'Oh, no, it's going to be an additional charge for all that,' so that wasn't too good. My father's room is a shared room. He has a roommate. However, they provide you with an armoire, and they provide you with your own dressers, nightstand, and bed. They have an outdoor patio, a movie room with a big-screen TV, and a small room where they can do puzzles and games. The value for money is good. The place has bright colors, is very warm, and has a friendly feeling.

From a community member: Finally getting around to giving a shout out to Placentia’s Ivy Park at Bradford Assisted Living community. Over the holidays our family made a huge decision to help my parents transition into this community quickly. As many of you are also in similar situations, as our parents get older, we want to make sure they are provided with safe and engaging opportunities, but sometimes that cannot happen with them living independently in their homes. My parents are active, however, a two-story home and no help on site was just not safe for them. We transitioned quickly to Ivy Park, and I cannot say enough kind things about this community. From the administration, nursing, housekeeping, kitchen, laundry, shower support, front desk, activities personnel, and just every staff member, our family is so impressed. As well, the community of residents who live there, are welcoming and engaging and providing opportunities for people to have a full life in a new environment. My parents are now getting more fun social engagements on a daily basis and enjoying healthy meals with supportive care and I can now enjoy them as a daughter instead of a caregiver. If you are having to make decisions with your family, I highly recommend you visit this community on Bradford Avenue. Good advice is that you can't consider the apartment as their home. Their home is the entire facility with access to a lovely courtyard with fountain and a wide variety of lovely shared spaces including a hair salon, library, bistro, living room and activity room.

My mother-in-law will move into Ivy Park at Bradford. I like the atmosphere. I like the energy. It's very friendly and very clean. The people there seem very happy. They were very involved in activities. They have a lot of activities and a lot of good amenities that are there for them. They have speakers and music quite often during the week. The meals are wonderful. The restaurant is like a four-star restaurant. It's very nice, and she could eat off the menu if she wanted. The staff who toured us around was very helpful and very friendly, and she answered all our questions. She has done a great job.

My mother is at Ivy Park at Bradford. They have a beautiful community. Their dining room is very beautiful and very elegant. They meet the needs of the people. If you don't want what they have for the day, then you can ask for anything else that's not on the menu, and people love that. They have activity rooms, everything from bingo to different crafts. You can go down and you can have food anytime during the day. You can have breakfast all day. They have beautiful patios. They have an indoor patio and an outdoor patio. My mother has her laundry done for her. They have a salon on the premises. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. They keep the place nice and clean. They have activities for everyone including physical activities, games, and movie nights. They even have happy hour, they have concerts, someone comes in and plays for them, and they celebrate parties.

I had an in-person tour of Ivy Park at Bradford. I liked that the residents interacted with each other and the staff. I didn't feel like they were left in their rooms to sit all day. The staff members seemed attentive and caring. The facility was well-kept, clean, and presented itself as more of a social hotel than a resident's facility. They have activities, and I think they vary by day or month and what your skill level is. Their coordinator was extremely helpful and provided a lot of assistance.

I visited Ivy Park at Bradford. It was a very comprehensive tour, and all the bases were covered, including all their facilities and their staff. Everything was completely outlined and detailed. They're very competent, and we got all the information we needed, and answers to our questions. There wasn't a problem. The chef has been there 35 years, so I don't think they have a problem with meals. They showed us the complete run, the libraries, the sun areas, the garden, and the laundry. They went through the whole gamut. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and competent, they answered all our questions. It was great. The place is immaculate.

I thought Ivy Park at Bradford was a very nice scenic place, and it's very clean. The staff was very professional there. They're very nice and informative. What I like least about the place was the cost. I only saw the main floor of the office. I didn't get to see the living quarters. I believe they have a gym and a salon.

Ivy Park at Bradford was absolutely beautiful and well-kept. I was very touched because there was a welcome sign with my name, which made it very personal for me. I thought that was a nice touch that they did. All of the staff was welcoming. They were very polite. What I loved about this place was that all of the people that were there were very engaged. It was St. Patrick's Day, so they have activities. They were engaging the residents there, so I liked that. The staff genuinely looked very happy. Another thing that I look for is cleanliness. They showed me the restroom, and so of course, I looked at the toilets, I opened up the shower curtains, and everything was immaculate. You could tell that they're very proud of this facility, and that's what I liked about them. It was a little expensive for us. I wish we could afford it because it's a block away from where we currently live. They were extremely courteous, hospitable, and very nice. It's well maintained and clean, and they're very warm and friendly staff.

Ivy Park at Bradford was very nice. If there's a way we could afford to put my mom there, we would probably choose that facility. The staff was very pleasant and the rooms were nice. They have their own bath but the rooms that we toured didn't have their own kitchen. We toured both memory care and assisted living. The dining area was also nice. They had a full salon and they had activities. They had just about everything like gardening, arts and crafts, and music. The upkeep was very good too.

From the moment I place a call and am greeted with such friendliness, this is what Ivy Park is all about. My dad has been a resident for over five years. The professional care and attention provided is really appreciated. The staff is exceptional.

It was a good one. It was an old style building, but the way they had it decorated was nice. We didn't sample the food, but the dining area seemed very nice. We saw some of the rooms. They were nice and clean. I knew they were going to have a restaurant setting. They had a walking area around the facility, which was nice. They had sitting areas around the building, too. It was very open, it had like a big hotel lobby with nice couches, and off to the other side was the restaurant that was open to the lobby area. So, it was kind of spacious as you walked in. It seemed they had a lot of activities. They had buses for transportation outside the facility.
