At Ivy Park at Bradford we offer purpose driven programs. Our residents are focused on wellness goals and engage daily in resident inspired programming. Our most popular activities are live music, exercise, and outings. We offer entertainment four times a week and exercise every day. Our outings vary, from attending a museum to enjoying a delicious meal at restaurant selected by our residents. The average age at Sunrise Villa Bradford is 85 years old. As a Villa, our focus is programming and our residents enjoy how we can keep up with their active lifestyle.
What programs or activities does Ivy Park at Bradford offer to enrich residents' well-being?
Because our focus is programming our Activities Director meets with all new and current residents to learn how we can make our programming meaningful, complete with tailored activities based on his/her Personal Discovery Worksheet, a tool which outlines their history, spiritual preferences, occupation, hobbies, skills, interests, and preferences. Our team members continue to find new ways to engage with residents based on their individual preferences and the circumstances within their community. We offer eight programs, which are specifically designed to provide opportunities to live with purpose.

Residents take advantage of our complimentary transportation in our town car or bus. We provide transportation to churches, doctor appointments, shopping errands, or any place that's within a seven mile radius free of charge.

Our Executive Chef has been with Bradford for over 30 years! Residents enjoy restaurant style dining with their community peers. We offer a variety of choices starting with a wide range of breakfast options, daily lunch and dinner specials, and our "always available" menu. Families enjoy our Sunday Brunches, special event BBQ’s in the courtyard, and sharing a meal as a special guest.

Residents feel safe at Ivy Park at Bradford because we have team members available 24/7. We have a secured gate on the perimeter of the building to prevent unwelcomed guests. All guests entering the community are welcomed, screened, and checked in at the main entrance.

Our Executive Director has been with Bradford for over 13 years. Her consistent communication with residents and family members is a top priority to her. Residents know they can reach out to her at any time for guidance and families are sent direct email with any and all updates along with courtesy calls.

At Ivy Park at Bradford our staffing is not based on ratios but on the care needs of the residents in the community at any given time.
If Ivy Park at Bradford accepts dogs or cats, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?
Ivy Park at Bradford is pet friendly and requires a one-time pet fee. Residents must be able to take care of their pet. Residents have the option to walk their leashed dog around our designated walking path. We ask that all residents pick up after their furry loved one. In the past, we have had dogs, cats, and birds join the Bradford Family.
What safety features or security measures does Ivy Park at Bradford provide to protect residents who wander?
We have monthly safety meetings and quarterly drills with all managers and staff to ensure we are practicing and implementing procedures to prevent harm to residents, families and staff. Our Memory Care neighborhood, Evergreen at Ivy, also has a delayed egress system which sounds an alarm in the event of an unsafe leave and allows our staff to redirect the resident.
What programs or activities does Ivy Park at Bradford offer to keep residents engaged? How does the staff engage residents' long-term memories?
Evergreen at Ivy is known for our high functioning residents. We provide an environment for individuals in the beginning to moderate stages of dementia or Alzheimer’s. Our programming is geared for residents that can benefit from a structured routine. Our Activities Department meets with each resident upon move in and discusses their interests, passions, and goals. Each activity is resident inspired and designed to promote brain health.
Who assesses residents' health and cognitive functioning? How often is that assessment repeated?
Our Health Services Director conducts an assessment on our residents at time of move in as well as every six months (and additionally when necessary or requested). Each time this is done, a family meeting is scheduled to go over a plan of care and discuss any changes or improvements.
How does Ivy Park at Bradford keep residents' families informed about their loved ones' health?
Our Memory Care Director and Health Services Director maintain consistent communication with our residents' appointed family members. This can be done via text, email, phone call or meeting. As always, our Executive Director is available to join in on these meetings.

We are in a residential area. Our Memory Care neighborhood, Evergreen at Ivy, is in its own building adjacent to our Assisted Living building. Evergreen has its own fully enclosed, private courtyard.

Ivy Park at Bradford works closely with Dr. Geiss, St. Jude Heritage, Placentia-Linda, and all of our residents' current physicians in order to make sure our residents are getting assistance they need and meeting their changing needs.
