"Park Plaza just had my mother-in-law written all over it. It's very jazzy, upbeat, positive, very clean, and roomy. We just knew she'd like it. They have showering assistance, taking down the bed assistance, all kinds of activities from religious, to card playing, to exercise, a dining room, a courtyard, and on-call assisted nurses. "

"I toured and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was warm. I had lunch and it was enjoyable. When walking into the dining room area, it was comfortable. The residents greeted and smiled. There were people around the community, making you feel welcome. There was an ambassador that came through and sat and talked to us. For the first time, not knowing exactly what to expect, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I saw facilities on three different floors. At the end of the visit, they gave me a brochure that was very comprehensive of what I had just been exposed to, a flow chart of the possible things that if I make other visits, things that I could compare. It was a beautiful experience. A girlfriend went with me and we both enjoyed it. The food was delicious. It just so happened that I was overwhelmed that I really could not eat as much as I would have enjoyed eating. It was tasty. The facility was clean, had upgrades, and it was very nice. They had a full library, all kinds of activities, reading rooms, and a gym. The grounds were perfect. The color scheme of the building was exciting. It was young. I have no complaints."

"I went to Rowntree, and it was very pretty. From what I understand, it is probably best for somebody who can start out in independent living then they can get the long-term care, but my parents are farther along. The staff seemed OK; I was just there for a brief time. It looked safe and secure. I liked the beauty of it; the gardens were very beautiful. "

"It was pretty close to me and it was very nice. I liked what I saw. The accommodations were very nice. The staff was very helpful, very informative, and very friendly. They had a gym, a salon, a dining area, an activities room, and an outside patio that the memory care people could be in."

"Westmont of Cypress was extremely nice. It was just very expensive and located too far from me. The people that I toured with shared their background information, and they've kind of been through very similar experiences, so I felt like they understood where we were coming from. I didn't feel like they were a sales person per se, trying to make their quota or anything like that, but it was really more on what the most important thing was for the person that we were looking for. It's wonderful. They have a salon, physical therapy, a gym, a barbecue area, a piano room, and an outdoor pool that can service people that are very limited/need wheelchair assistance. It was all very modern and very updated. They have a lot of activities both indoors and outdoors. They have a happy hour area and a sports area to watch the big screen TVs, as well as a spa to get your hair/nails done. It's very nice and very use-friendly. Some of the residents were all very happy, too."

"I felt so comfortable visiting here. I felt like it was home. I took my dog with me because they said they were pet-friendly and I loved the place. Everybody was just in a good mood. They were singing along in the lobby and I saw the way the people were acting towards the residents and they were great. The grounds and everything about it were beautiful. They were nice, easy to access, and clean. It's perfect. It's just not what I want right now. Someday maybe, since I still wanted to do my own stuff."

"I toured Park View Place. The property itself is beautiful and everything that it offers. They're accommodating. They're sensitive to the fact that she lost everything in a fire, so they're willing to go ahead and furnish the apartment for her. I just thought that the staff was very professional and very caring, so that's what I'm looking for, and also the location. It's a great place. It's immaculate, very warm, and very clean, and it's only three years old."

"It has been a positive experience with Artesia Christian Home for the most part. My mom's room is pretty nice. It's a 1-bedroom with a full bath and kitchenette. The facility is also pretty nice and above average. They have a lot of activities for the residents, and the food is pretty good. The place is really clean and it's been kept up really well. They have nice furniture in the lounging areas."

"My father-in-law has been doing great at here after only been there for three days. The living quarters are OK, and the common dining room is fine. He says it’s good. As long as he likes it, that’s all that matters. "

"I've been here for almost a year now. I've had great experience with them. Everybody has been helpful. The meals are good. You can have choices for dinner, or you can order something else. They also have trips, they take me to the bank, stores like Walmart or Target, and to doctor appointments. My room is nice. I have a living room, a bedroom, a kitchenette and a bathroom. The staff has always been helpful and nice to me. It's always clean. They have good activities, but I haven't participated in much yet. I have played bingo a couple of times."

"She is here, people seemed happy, and there are a lot of activities going on like taking people to doctors' appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays, go to a casino once a week, shopping on Thursdays, and shopping at Target. They do exercise classes every day, and sometimes they do cooking classes. They also have entertainment that comes in monthly. They have 1-room apartments, like a bathroom and a room together, and they clean their rooms and do their laundry for them once a week. "

"I toured Woodbridge Terrace of Irvine. The best that I like is that it's located in Irvine and it's in a fairly quiet area. The staff was very nice. I didn't have any problems with them. The structure of the facility is very good. The rooms and the dining area seemed to be very nice."

"We toured the Pacifica Senior Living South Coast's memory care unit. Their facility was a little more constrained, less open, and less of an area to live your life, I guess. The staff who assisted us during the tour was very cooperative and open enough to answer questions. The room we saw was very nice-looking and clean, but one thing we did not like about it was that it had a shared bathroom."
