"I toured The Meridian at Anaheim Hills. I liked it, but it's just too big of a place for my friend to be in. I've been there three times. That place is very beautiful. They're very pleasant. It's a nice place. I'd like to stay there when I'm old. The staff was very knowledgeable. It's just beautiful there. You drive up and there's this waterfall and it's very pretty. It's very clean and very well kept. It's also directly across the street from where I live. They have everything. They have a courtyard. I saw these women who were in this one room, and they were playing bowling where it was on the TV. Then we went into another room, and they had popcorn, and I had some popcorn. Then the staff took me into the salon. They have a salon, and you can get a massage there. It's very big and beautiful."

"We were very please with Park Plaza and its staff. They all seemed to be courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable. This extended from the housekeeping staff, through the dining room staff, receptionist, event coordinators, sales director, manager, etc. The facility is very neat and clean and cheerful. Their food is surprisingly good and you can tell that the chef puts a lot of thought and effort into putting together tasty and nutritious menus for their residents. There are many activities offered so resident may choose to be as active as they wish. They are located three blocks from Orange Senior Center and Old Town Orange Circle which offers a variety of shops and dining. "

"My cousin has moved into Truewood by Merrill, West Covina. I like the layout of the community and of her unit. She has a one-bedroom unit. It was upgraded. The staff there is very, very nice and accommodating. They're like one big family in the community. She's independent, but they're very accommodating with her mental stability. They have a lot of things going on. They have movie nights for the residents, they plan trips, they do bingo, and they have Scrabble. She's able to shoot pool. They have crafts. One of the residents is teaching the ladies how to crochet. The event coordinator will come and get her out of her unit to participate in different things. She likes playing bingo and playing cards. Church service on Sundays is optional. They're always doing something for the residents. Every Thursday, they have a breakfast buffet, which is nice. During the first month of her residence, the family members are able to come and eat free with her, so that's nice. Everything is nicely kept up. The food is very good. They take a lot of time with the residents there. She's there independently, but they have staffing there to accommodate the residents if needed, to help them bathe and dress and make sure they take their medications."

"The staff is amazing. Everything they do has a specific reason that benefits my mom in the memory care. It's a brand new facility. When you walk in, they make you feel like a family. My mom just went in last Thursday, and it's been an amazing experience so far. They treat them with respect and dignity, and I really like that. They have a nice dining room, activity rooms, and indoor/outdoor activities. There are things going on all the time that engage them. It's wonderful. They only stay in their room pretty much just to sleep. They have executive chefs, and the food is absolutely amazing. We ate two meals with mom. My daughter went to an open house that they had, and she tasted food from around the world. 90% of the food that they do is fresh, and it is as good as any restaurant I've ever been to."

"I looked at Rowntree Gardens. We did not try the food, but everybody looked like they were thoroughly enjoying it. The size and layout of the apartments were very generous. There were multiple activities. It's a very community-based resident facility. They do a lot of family activities and a lot of group activities. There's a chapel there. They've got memory care, they have a rehab facility, and there's a gym and a barber shop. It was very nice. The building itself was clean and well-maintained. They have a very large outdoor area with a garden that you can work in. They have shuffleboard there, too. They had a lot of things going on. I enjoyed it."

"We went to Artesia Christian Home. Everybody there was very nice. I, personally, would recommend it. It was a little bit out of my price range, but she still might end up there. The staff was very knowledgeable and very understanding. They helped me because I did not really know what I needed. They had an activity rooms. It was an older facility, but they had a new part. They had small rooms, but in the newer section, the rooms were bigger and a lot nicer. The older section was old. They now had memory care, which they were building. They also had duplexes there. I thought they were great. "

"Westmont of Cypress was a great place. It had the amenities that I needed. It had a kitchen in the room so there was an electric stove for cooking and the rooms were larger. The cost was more, but it was very, very clean. There's a pool and more variety of food. The tour was really good. They shared all the information I needed and they were not just family, but a business also."

"I like West Park Senior Living. They took me through the residences. They took me to various plans I could have there. I can't remember the girl's name who gave me the tour, but she was very nice. I'm contemplating whether or not I'm going to stay there. The layout was excellent. It was clean, and they had good maintenance. Overall, I thought it was really nice."

"The food at Ivy Park at Cerritos was excellent, but the price was high. They have a small library, a beauty salon, and housekeeping. The staff was nice. The dining area was pretty, though it didn't have the white tablecloths and everything. The room was fine, except it wasn't for me. I wanted a kitchen. It didn't have a kitchen, stove, or oven, but the space was average. It seemed to be kept up well."

"We looked around here. It looked like a very nice place. It had smaller rooms and had lots of activities. I saw some ladies making goody bags for the policemen because of some civic activities that they were doing. Some people were playing cards at a table and they had a nice little area that had refreshments and desserts. I saw games and exercises. The girl that took us around was super nice. The people seemed very friendly and every time you walk past someone, they would say hi. It had a very nice patio and a really huge dining area, which was more like a cafeteria. It was very nice."

"I visited Clearwater at Glendora. The place was wonderful, but it was too big. I liked the location. It was a resort-like quality. The amenities were just fantastic. The people that I saw and dealt with were really nice. They offered everything from the salon to exercising. They had a game room and all that. The bedroom had good lighting and nice views. The rooms were really nice. Topnotch on everything. The staff member who took me around was a very nice lady. The place was fantastic - the cleanliness and the grounds. It was just a wonderful place."
