We had a very nice tour at Hellenic Senior Living of Indianapolis. They showed us a lot of the area. It was our favorite of all the ones we saw yesterday. I liked the looks of it, the building, and everything. The room was great. It was a good size and the bathroom facility was particularly good. It was very large. Everything about it was acceptable. They have some outdoor patio areas where you can gather, several sitting rooms, and an activity center. The staff was very nice. We were very impressed with everything there. The only problem we have with it is it's only an assisted living facility which might not fit our needs, but I think if we knew that my mother could go in there, we would pick it out of all the ones we saw.

I'm going to Hellenic Senior Living Of Indianapolis. It's a very nice facility. It's only about five years old. The apartments are very nice. The staff is very accommodating. They have a lot of activities, and they have beautiful grounds. I'm not moving there until Sunday, so the only staff I know is the marketing person that I dealt with, and she's terrific. They showed me a one-bedroom apartment, it has a kitchen, an adequate-sized living room, a bedroom, and a large bath. They have Wii bowling, outside trips to different restaurants, and a walking club. They have a lot of activities.

The only thing I didn't like about Hellenic Senior Living of Indianapolis was you couldn't have an oven in your apartment. They had one available, but you had to go up on the third floor. And I thought, if you had to use the oven, how are you going to carry it back down to your apartment? I can't take my artificial fireplace and I couldn't take my air fryer. I realize this could be a fire hazard or whatever, but I'm spoiled, and I want my little fireplace; it's not wood burning, it's electric, but I couldn't take those with me. So that was a little drawback on those apartments. The person who assisted me during the tour was very good and she brought me lunch prior to the tour. It was a sandwich, a cookie, and a drink, and I thought that was very thoughtful to even bring it to my home. They serve three meals and house cleaning and so forth. I saw a one-bedroom, it was small, but it was nice.
