"I toured Rose Senior Living at Carmel. It was very nice. The staff members were very friendly. The dining area was very nice, and the rooms were very nice. I saw regular kitchens. We looked at a two-bedroom, two-bath. Upkeep and maintenance of the facility were very good. It's a fairly new facility and very well taken care of. They had a really nice outdoor area up on the top of the building with grills and tables, and it was well maintained."

"I was very impressed with Harmony at Avon. That was number one on my list of the three that I visited. I was very impressed with the director. She's very empathetic. I really liked it. If my niece moved there, I was encouraged to come and have a meal with her and interact with other residents. The food smelled good. I actually know someone who is there and that person is very thrilled with it also. There were lots of activities that are offered, especially during the week. They go places, they have crochet groups, and they have all kinds of stuff. The staff was very good."

"I've already moved into Sanders Glen Assisted Living. I chose it because of the care that they give. The nursing staff is great. Physical therapy is very good. Everybody's friendly and welcoming. It's pretty central to my friends that help me. I like the size of the apartment I'm in. It's very nice, just the right size for me right now. I like the little kitchenette, the small living room, and the small bedroom. I'm recovering from an amputation of my leg below the knee, so I don't need much now. The staff is very nice and very supportive. They care about all the residents. The food is very good and balanced every meal. It's an ala carte line where you get to pick what you want for each meal. They have different classes, watercolor painting class, bible study, and movie night. There's something to do all the time. There's afternoon bingo. You're just not stuck in your room the whole time. There's a lot of different activities. There's something for everybody. It's an older facility, but they've updated it and they've kept it pretty modern. It's a great place. They try to get a variety of different things. Value is great. You get your money's worth. I knew people that had been here before and they loved it. It's really hard to get an apartment here because there's not much turnover. People stay here."

"My wife moved into Magnolia Springs Bridgewater. We like the activity programming and the social interaction associated with the activities each day. Today, I was there because they were having grandchildren trick or treating, and they were passing out candies, which they do once a year. The place looks open. Some of the care facilities we looked at were more congested and closer. Here, it is more open and light. The staff is supportive."

"A Family for Mom lives up to its name. My 97-year-old mother has lived there for 15 months. It is the perfect home for the end of her years-long dementia journey. At first, Mom enjoyed the company of the other residents. Now she is bedridden and no longer talks, but she smiles every day. Her caregivers understand her eye motions and nods. They communicate with me regularly about Mom and ask for my input when her care level changes. There is no charge for increased levels of care. They provide many things that her large memory care facility did not, including incontinence supplies, hair cuts, nail care, lotions, toothbrush & toothpaste. They love Mom and me like family."

"We toured Bickford of Carmel. They were a top choice for us, so that's one possibility. However, they don't have nursing, but they will adjust their care level within their assisted living scope, which is a nice option. In other words, they'll charge you more and give you more care without putting you in a nursing home, and that's an excellent approach. It has a homey feel to it, and they had a system inviting family to be a part of a council where they meet regularly to try to improve whatever changes are needed. So, that was an exceptional approach. The staff who assisted us was terrific. He even offered to help with that search if we were looking at other things or other places, which was a reach-out thought concept."

"Facility-wise, Harbour Manor & The Lodge was very clean and very nice. The rooms they got weren't as big as the rooms that I visited in the other two facilities, but they were still nice. The young lady did a nice job. Her name was Brooke, and I would rate her very high. She's very knowledgeable and very friendly. She toured me to the whole facility. She took me into one of the private rooms and showed me all the different things that they did. They also had a movie room and just about everything the other facilities had."

"Hamilton Trace was a nice facility. The apartments were nice as well. The staff was very friendly. I like its convenience to where I live. So, it would be close for me to go and visit my dad if needed. I like that it's a bigger facility, because they tend to have memory care for Alzheimer's/dementia patients."

"Me and my four siblings are beyond happy that my 99-year-old mom is at home at Cumberland Trace!! Every single fear we have had for her well-being has been overcome, knowing she is at such a wonderful place. We toured many facilities, but CT was the one that stood above the rest and we got on a waiting list to get Mom in. It took only about three months, well worth the wait. Everything about this place is top notch. The people who have charge over the residents are caring and attentive and truly kind. The staff know Mom by name, even the servers in the dining hall. The residents too are so wonderful. My mom is so happy! We are so relieved for her. She had been living alone independently for too long. Now she has friends to hang out with and her days are not lonely. On any given day she has fun things to do almost all day. She's had manicures, done craft projects, listened to music... I come visit her and we do social events together too, like Milkshake Monday and Cinnamon Roll Social. I'm making friends with mom's friends too. Her apartment is really perfect... she loves the open concept, airy and roomy. Big windows for lots of daylight. Everything is so convenient for her. I just can't say enough about the level of care and kindness at CT. Her physical/health needs are met and I don't have to worry about her. If she ever needs anything, someone is right there for her. I have such gratitude my mom is there finally! And in speaking with other residents who have been there for years, they have nothing but good things to say about CT so that also is encouraging and confirms we made the right choice for my mom. This was the only place we looked at that even had a waiting list so that tells you something."

"My dad recently moved to Fort Harrison Assited Living. What I have noticed since my dad moved in, the staff is very caring, the food is phenomenal, and you can see in the staff work how much they care about the residents. The management team is compassionate, caring and you can also notice they love what they do as well. Every time my family and I come to visit the ED door is always open and she make sure we feel welcome. Julie the BOM we love her, she is always helpful and don't mind going that extra mile to help anyone. I appreciate and glad I made the right decision to move my loved one to FH."
