"Individual rooms are spacious. Residents spend most of their time in the common areas enjoying a variety of activities. I loved the holiday celebrations, especially when I would see the videos. I remember one in particular when my mom was dancing with a staff member. The common areas are decorated lovely. Residents can move from one residential side to the other. Some residents like to walk and this allows them freedom of movement. The outdoor gardens provides many places to have family visits. I truly enjoyed visiting in the garden area. My mother lived there for 2 years. She arrived two days before the pandemic shutdown. Those were tough times for all but Grandbrook connected us through Facetime calls. That was so nice and thoughtful. The staff was always considerate and helpful. You could tell many loved my mom. I found Grandbrook to be a caring community with a heart!"

"I toured Bickford of Greenwood. I liked the fact that it was small. They only had 16 beds, and all were private in their memory care. It was very homey and family-oriented, which was wonderful. I thought it was a beautiful facility, but it's a little bit higher, out of the price range. The staff was very informative and caring. They're very good at what they are doing. Their goal is to try to incorporate everyone into the common area. They're set up like somebody's very large living room, and off to one side was a big bar with a full kitchen over in the corner. So, it's almost like people gathering at the bar at their own home, and I thought that was a nice touch."

"My dad is a resident of Grand Victorian of Greenwood, and they know him here. The staff is great. We've gotten to know a lot of them on a personal level. We had hugs and that sort of thing. They're all very caring and quick with the warmth, so we appreciate that. When they made the change, they made some changes to the food. It's the same chef, but they used to have Coke machines here. So they would bring them Cokes, but they've taken those out. Sometimes, the soup options they used to offer variety. Now, it's almost always either they have a choice of chicken noodle or tomato soup. When my dad first came here, he was just level one assisted. We've got the room right outside. They've got a gazebo that residents are welcome to go and sit on, and it's got a pond. They put the fountain on in the summer for people who are into ducks, geese, and a lot of animals. We've got pictures of the turtle and the egrets, and we've got bird feeders outside of his windows that he's always taking pleasure in, not so much anymore since he's advanced to a different level, but the grounds are nice. The common areas are nice, and they've got activities. They do bingo. They've got the activities director, and they take trips. It's got everything he needs. Every Wednesday, there are cocktails and concerts. So people will come in and play instruments or sing or bands or whatever; however, it's beyond his capabilities right now to engage in that kind of thing."

"We toured Grand Brook Memory Care of Greenwood. It's beautiful. The apartment was fine. The staff who helped us during our tour were fine. It was good. They're friendly and very informative. We didn't have any of their food, but the dining area looked relaxed and inviting. It was nice that they weren't all sitting watching television. They were engaged."

"Demaree Crossing is an excellent facility. It's beautifully decorated and the nurses are attentive. My mother says the food is good. The rooms are nice. She's in a studio by herself, and it's small, but it's a lot better than some of the rooms in some other places. She's able to get her bed, a recliner, a dresser, and a TV in there. The staff is attentive, cheerful, helpful, and they know what they're doing. They have a lot of activities, outings, they play bingo, and have church services. Each resident has a plastic tote and in it are things that they enjoy doing. One resident who is a farmer has pictures of tractors that he had in his tote and he'll tell you about them. He also has packets of seeds. They have crafts and they made birdhouses the other day. They go on the bus and drive them around to look around or to go shopping."
