Harmony at Avon was a little farther than where I wanted to place my loved one, but it's a nice facility. It's brand new. They had a lot of activities. I walked around with the activity director. We did not have lunch there, but they offered. It was a clean facility from what I could tell. It was just larger and I think my loved one would probably get lost in all of that. We didn't get to walk through an apartment. We just walked through the facility, and they explained all the things with it and how much and all that. At the time, she didn't want to do it, but the activity director got her to laugh and relax.

Mom has a great room at Harmony at Avon. It has a good space. She's in assisted living, so she has a modified kitchen, a bedroom, and a great bathroom. The food is still a work in progress, but I know they're working on it and it's getting better. It's not always bad. I've been very happy with the staff. They have been wonderful to work with. The nursing staff and the head nurse, Melissa, have been phenomenal because Mom had to go into the hospital and rehab before she could go back to Harmony at Avon. They have a beauty salon/hair salon and the PT has been good and very helpful. Mom was able to go to church service yesterday and they took her there. When I've been there, I've seen ladies playing cards, and it seems like they have a good setup for different things. It's a beautiful facility.

I was really impressed with Harmony at Avon's memory care unit. Cindy was the lady I spoke with, and she was exceptionally attentive in wanting to know about my mother-in-law and where she's at as far as her abilities. We had a really good conversation. I really liked their place. It was super nice. I would consider it kind of a Cadillac of all the ones I went to. It also was the most expensive, but it had a very nice facility there. The staff introduced me to several staff people there, and they were all very friendly. Their dining room was really nice. They used tablecloths, which was really, really nice. It felt like you're in a restaurant. It was really pretty.

We visited Harmony at Avon. They had apartments, but no cottages. They're all very modern because they've been open for two years. They had a patio. The staff was excellent, very friendly, and helpful. The food was very good. The upkeep and cleanliness of the facility was excellent. They had a wellness center, a theater, and they had social areas on each floor.

We liked Harmony at Avon a lot. It's a beautiful place, but in my friend's situation, the expenses were a little too high. The lady that we talked to was really helpful and very knowledgeable about the facility and how she could help if it came to the point where things would have to go from private pay to Medicaid or something. We saw one of the apartments and it was nice, my friend was happy with the size of it. It was very clean. It's not too far from a hospital and eating places, and they have a shuttle service for people, so it's not like you have to drive yourself.

I visited Harmony at Avon. I just signed a lease there for my father. It's very clean because it's new. The staff here seems very friendly and most importantly, when I walked in, I interacted with a couple of the residents and asked them if they liked the place and they loved it. The staff during the tour was amazing, very knowledgeable, and very caring. She is the main part of the reason I decided to come here. The rooms were very nice. We chose a studio, which is a little small, but we chose it for the price point, so you get what you pay for. Their one bedrooms were very roomy and very nice. I looked at the menu and I came after lunch and I could smell it and it smelled very good. I asked multiple people from the staff for their honest opinion and they all said they eat lunch there. It's like a four-star restaurant. They have about any activity you would want, from a gym to billiards. They have a pub and they have a happy hour. Just from everything I can see, it's about being in a five-star hotel.
