"Meadow Lakes has been very good about getting back to me and inviting me to visit. A representative of theirs took me and a girlfriend of mine around and explained everything to us. We've gone and visited twice just to get a feel for things and see one of the floor models. I've also gotten a list of all the available units and looked around the independent living side. They are very good about getting back to me, taking time to explain everything, and offering me assistance with moving. They have a program where they have someone who will help you with understanding and selling your home, and things like how to downsize. I like the fact that they have independent living garden units. Not all American senior facilities have those. When it comes to maintenance, everything's great as far as I can tell. I have not seen anything that's out of place. I haven't gone over and looked a lot at the main campus. I know that they have some assisted living that has outdoor access from their units and that's what interests me if ever I would have to move over to the other side of care. I have a service dog, and I like having access outdoors without having to go down the hallway."

"Zionsville Meadows was half a mile from my house and I liked it. It had the little independent houses and cottages and it's a real close walk to the activity center. Everything was nice and the price was right. It was a good choice. We also got the assisted living tour. The activities sounded very adequate, which the staff showed me, and I even met the activities person. It was an older facility, but adequate."

"I went to Altenheim Senior Living. It was okay. It was pretty nice. It's just that the prices were out of my range. The grounds were very nice. It was very well taken care of. The apartment itself was spacious enough and the amenities in the apartment were nice. The guy who gave the tour was very nice and very informative, and he understood my situation with it being just out of my price range. He gave me a couple of other suggestions."

"Overall, Grand Victorian of Greenwood was a great place. It looked good. It just wasn't quite what we were looking for. Everybody was nice. They showed us around and showed us everything. I couldn't ask for more. They had good amenities. There was nothing wrong with it. They helped me. Everything was great."

"I've been a resident in the cottages for over two years and love it. Not wanting to keep taking care of a house and doing all the lawn care, I moved in soon after retiring. My house is the perfect size with lots of storage space. I really love the sun porch. Activities offered include a wellness center and wonderful library. Several people here have taken up bicycle and tricycle riding. Seeing so many people riding, administration created a safe place on campus for storing bikes over the winter. They saw a "new need" and responded to it. When the pandemic arrived the administration responded immediately. They are well versed in what needs to be done and provided guidelines for us to live by to protect ourselves and the community. Being creative they came up with a little grocery for us to buy enough "basics" to avoid many trips to the large public grocery. Instead of holding the birthday gathering for everyone who has a birthday that month, they now offer to bring a good dinner to our home or apartment. They even come back for the dirty dishes! I can't thank the staff enough for helping me through this pandemic. I know I live in a community that cares about the residents and helps them stay safe. Moving here was the right decision for me."

"If you are looking for a clean and safe place for your loved ones to recover, I highly recommend Majestic Care. My dad had a severe heart attack and was in the hospital for 7 weeks. We had to choose a rehab facility for him to go to before coming home. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. It is being remodeled so everything is crisp and new. The second thing was the staff. They were so friendly. From Jan who greeted us at the front door daily to the nursing staff to the physical and occupational therapists. I know that people can have terrible experiences at places like this but I have nothing but praise for how well they took care of my dad and how kind and accommodating they were to the residents. Thanks to everyone at Majestic Care for the hard work you do! My dad is home now and doing great."

"My sister moved to Astral at Franklin. We like its cleanliness and atmosphere; from its appearance, you wouldn't recognize it as a senior home. The staff is very accommodating. They have outings and various things like entertainment and music that come in. The apartments are well-kept."

"I toured Hamilton Trace. I like the facility itself. I like the apartments, I like what they have to offer, and I like the price. I mean, there's a big difference in price with these communities that I found. There can be thousands of dollars. I liked the way they toured me and showed me everything. There was nothing undisclosed. I had questions and they answered all the questions. So, I thought they did a good job in touring me."

"During my visit to Northridge Gracious Retirement Living, I was shown some apartments. They were doing an open house before Christmas. I was not given a tour by the community sales rep, Kelsey, but she directed me to someone. I think he's on staff or he may be a resident, but I got a good tour. They had all kinds of areas where you can get together. They have a big library and a big theater. They had several different elevators to get you to different places. It's quite big. The newsletter said that they were going to have a New Year's party. They have been in the packet; I got a calendar of all of the activities. They have about eight or nine things every day going on. They have an exercise room, a theater, and a chapel, I like it very much. The thing was, I have just contacted them again by email asking for pricing, transportation, and whether they had first-floor rooms with an outside entrance for my puppy. I have a dog and I don't like to get her around other dogs, she stresses out. So, it's kind of important that I be able to get her in and out a door without going through the whole facility to get there. I didn't get answers about that yet. Kelsey was busy greeting people and directing people. So, she was kind of at the front, and not able to talk to anybody, really a lot. So that's why I've gone back and asked more questions."

"Park Square Manor was a really nice place. We had lunch there, it was very good, and everyone was very friendly."

"Woodland Terrace of Danville is new, so it's going to be good. I've only been there a couple of times to see it. They're very professional. Good prices. The staff was very helpful and very informative. Prices are fair. I think it's going to be a wonderful place. It's brand new. The staff were very kind and very knowledgeable."

"I'm living at Broadstone Pointe Apartments. I've been here for less than one year now. I love my apartment. It's a two-bedroom. I use one bedroom for my office. It's not huge, but it's got a balcony, which I love. The staff members are not that interactive. They try to be helpful, but yet they don't do a whole lot. It's hands-off most of the time. They cut corners with maintenance, too. The elevator was down for about a week, and I live on the third floor, so everybody had to take the stairs. So that's my biggest problem. I noticed there were mouse droppings in the stairwell, too. I reported that and they cleaned that up. It's not there any longer, but there was a lot of it. If a resident had not mentioned it, they would not have cleaned it up. They have a pay washer and dryer on the first floor. I have access to that, but I didn't want to. I bought my own washer and dryer. I have a refrigerator and an electric stove. Everything's electric here. They have a garage, but right now it's full, and there's a waiting list to get on to the garage, and I'm on a waiting list for that. They have an exercise room, which is below average. It's got an old recumbent bike. It looks like it's been donated, and it doesn't work well. They have a treadmill and some weights. They have a library, which is stocked with donated things from previous residents. They have a computer station, but it never works, so that's pretty useless. They have a kitchen and dining area that if you want to use it, you're welcome to You just have to go in and tell them that you're going to be cooking down there. You have to reserve it, which is no problem. And once a month, a vendor will come in and we will have bingo. I like the location."
