"One of the reasons why I have chosen Grand Victorian of Greenwood for my friend is that we will be on the main floor if we get in. It's all been freshly painted and redecorated. Everything looks brand new even though the facility has been there a few years. Everyone that I spoke with was very kind and very informative. They answered all my questions without hesitation, and I liked that a lot. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly. I couldn't ask for any more help. She had gone above and beyond what regular help would be."

"My parents moved to Magnolia Springs when my dad was not doing well, he was actually on hospice for awhile. The caregivers are amazing, they are caring and compassionate. They made it possible for my brothers and me to relax a bit and know my parents were safe. "

"I took a tour through Altenheim Senior Living and they showed me one apartment that was offered as independent living because that's what I was looking for, but it was within the assisted living facility. So, I was not interested in that. The only option I was interested in was this specific 'garden home' that the staff member showed me, and it was perfect. They have fitness areas, a playroom, and all these beautiful landscapes outside. However, the air conditioning in the assisted living had been out for two days, which was not very encouraging to me, given the heat that we had on that weekend of my visit. If I needed assisted living, I probably would not have moved in or chosen that facility. When I asked the lady who took me around about it, she said, "Well, some of the equipment is old.", and I understand that, but I also think that the owners should have replaced this old equipment before it completely went out and then took days to fix it."

"Astral at Franklin was beautiful. It's all brand new, it's all modern, and it's all up to date. It had a pretty courtyard. Residents also could transition to assisted living or memory care there. It was all very nice. However, I don't know if my parents could afford to go there. The staff we spoke with was awesome. I did not try their food, but they offered it, and it was all restaurant-style. They offered everything everybody else did and probably a tiny bit more. Everything was spotless, too."

"Mom moved into Meadow Lakes. She had been there before for respite care when we went on vacation and whenever we're looking for memory care, and she seemed to like it. It's an all-women's facility, so that worked out really good for us, too, because I kinda heard stories about men and women being together. Because of Covid, everybody's locked down, and I miss my mom. The staff members are all very nice. According to mom, food is really good. I have not seen her room because I haven't been able to go back to her room, but she has not complained about it. She's in memory care, so they work with her every day on different things, trying to work with her memory. I don't know what they do in the memory care right now, but before Covid, they would take them out on little group tours. When I checked around, there were others that were cheaper, that had just women. I thought it's really important that there were no men in the area, so I really like this."

"I chose this one. For one thing, it's very clean and it's close to my son, which is the reason why I'm moving to Plainfield. I like the people that were there that I spoke with. It's comparable to other places for independent living. I just like it. They have everything available that you're going to need. They even have washers and dryers in their apartments. You get three meals a day and 24-hour security. It's very nice. It's perfect."

"The Harmony at Avon is pretty new, and they are still doing some things there. I talked to them, and they said they're thinking about putting in a woodworking shop, a little place for their people. I think that was a very nice place. I was looking at their independent living; they had an open house, and it was on a Saturday. A lot of times, on Saturdays or weekends, a lot of people leave to go to their kids, so they don't have a lot of activities going on. The staff members we saw were all very good and very nice. They also had these little snack things there. If I were a resident there, it would be convenient. It was laid out nicely, and the food was good."

"The location of The Oaks at Brownsburg was very ideal. It was right across the street from Kroger, just down the street from Walmart, and there are all kinds of fast food places. It was just a very pleasant location. The staff was very, very friendly and very caring. They understood a lot of my problems, and I was impressed with them. The food proportions were very generous, and they weren't bland. It was a very satisfactory meal. They had a place where people could gather for different activities. They had bingo, arts and crafts, and different activities for people to kind of gather and get together."

"Majestic Care of Carmel is a clean, cheerful facility. Staff members are friendly and empathetic. They are encouraged by management to "Lead with Love," and this is evident in their interactions with residents and families. Many activities are offered, and nursing staff in long-term care unit is exceptionally skilled and responsive. Residents seem happy and well cared-for."

"The staff at The Reserve was impeccable. They’re professional, compassionate, very accommodating, and make you feel very much at home. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and range from small one-bedrooms to very large two-bedrooms, two-bathrooms. You can have rentals on a month-to-month basis which is why we are there; there’s no buy-in, unless you choose to build a cottage there. They have a chef from a top-notch restaurant in the area, and the cafeteria is open to the public as well, so you can go in and just purchase food directly from off the street. They have monthly parties, personal trainers, painting class, bridge clubs, other card clubs, and everything else you can possibly imagine. However, the one-time maintenance fee is pretty steep. "

"During my visit to Northridge Gracious Retirement Living, I was shown some apartments. They were doing an open house before Christmas. I was not given a tour by the community sales rep, Kelsey, but she directed me to someone. I think he's on staff or he may be a resident, but I got a good tour. They had all kinds of areas where you can get together. They have a big library and a big theater. They had several different elevators to get you to different places. It's quite big. The newsletter said that they were going to have a New Year's party. They have been in the packet; I got a calendar of all of the activities. They have about eight or nine things every day going on. They have an exercise room, a theater, and a chapel, I like it very much. The thing was, I have just contacted them again by email asking for pricing, transportation, and whether they had first-floor rooms with an outside entrance for my puppy. I have a dog and I don't like to get her around other dogs, she stresses out. So, it's kind of important that I be able to get her in and out a door without going through the whole facility to get there. I didn't get answers about that yet. Kelsey was busy greeting people and directing people. So, she was kind of at the front, and not able to talk to anybody, really a lot. So that's why I've gone back and asked more questions."

"Crestwood Village South is an older complex. I remember when it was built when I was a teenager, but they seemed to be well taken care of. I talked to a couple of people who live there, and they said that they're pretty good about maintaining the building. They seemed to really like living there. They like the fact that the utilities were all included in their rent as well, and that sounds pretty reasonable. I went to visit somebody there a few years ago, and we went over to their dining area and got something to eat. I found it to be a pleasant atmosphere. The food was good. It was better than what I expected from a senior facility. The room that I was in seemed to be plenty roomy unless you're somebody like me that collects all the things. They had a little laundry area on the first floor. There's a nice community area with a big television. At the time, there was a piano there. The outside was pretty good. There's plenty of walking areas. They had a full calendar of activities. They had Wii bowling and different competitions such as that. They had euchre night. They need a much better elevator because it's very small."
