Astral at Franklin

Astral at Franklin was beautiful. It's all brand new, it's all modern, and it's all up to date. It had a pretty courtyard. Residents also could transition to assisted living or memory care there. It was all very nice. However, I don't know if my parents could afford to go there. The staff we spoke with was awesome. I did not try their food, but they offered it, and it was all restaurant-style. They offered everything everybody else did and probably a tiny bit more. Everything was spotless, too.

Astral at Franklin would have been our second choice because it was closer to home. They had a meal plan on some kind of ticket voucher, and we didn't like that. It was new, so they didn't have any planned trips or things to do during the week. But it was brand new, and it was really impressive. Everything was up to date; the countertops were new, and the bathrooms were impressive. They have a nice kitchen. They have a big patio open area where you could go out and grill. You could sit out front in rockers or whatever. The staff who showed me around was very professional, friendly, and helpful. The facility was excellent, everything was perfect.

We visited Astral at Franklin. It's brand new, but we couldn't get moved in until September and we needed a facility quicker than that, so we ended up in another facility. We toured the property and went through the rooms. It was a beautiful community. We don't know any of the staff, but as far as the actual facility, it was very nice. They also had an older apartment community, and there were a couple of people living in that part of the building, but not the assisted living. We interacted with the person that does the tour of the facility, and then we had an interaction with the lady that was the cook, and they were both very kind and very nice. They had the same type of amenities as the other place. They had a movie theater, they had a workout room, they had a restaurant-style dining, and they had a hair salon. It was a very nice place. We had some pumpkin bread, just a very light meal, but it was good. Everything was brand new, so it was tip-top condition. There was only a handful of residents. They said they were getting ready to get a bus where they were going to be able to take people to their activities. But I did not witness any activities. The outdoors were very well maintained. It's kind of like a square and then they have a place in the middle where the residents can go. They had chairs and loungers and grills. It was very nice.
