"My dad is a resident of Grand Victorian of Greenwood, and they know him here. The staff is great. We've gotten to know a lot of them on a personal level. We had hugs and that sort of thing. They're all very caring and quick with the warmth, so we appreciate that. When they made the change, they made some changes to the food. It's the same chef, but they used to have Coke machines here. So they would bring them Cokes, but they've taken those out. Sometimes, the soup options they used to offer variety. Now, it's almost always either they have a choice of chicken noodle or tomato soup. When my dad first came here, he was just level one assisted. We've got the room right outside. They've got a gazebo that residents are welcome to go and sit on, and it's got a pond. They put the fountain on in the summer for people who are into ducks, geese, and a lot of animals. We've got pictures of the turtle and the egrets, and we've got bird feeders outside of his windows that he's always taking pleasure in, not so much anymore since he's advanced to a different level, but the grounds are nice. The common areas are nice, and they've got activities. They do bingo. They've got the activities director, and they take trips. It's got everything he needs. Every Wednesday, there are cocktails and concerts. So people will come in and play instruments or sing or bands or whatever; however, it's beyond his capabilities right now to engage in that kind of thing."

"Aspen Trace was very upscale and nice. The people were friendly, informative, and approachable. It was definitely a place I'd recommend to people to consider. For someone who wants a newer type of feel, it's definitely the place to go to. It's brand new so it's an absolutely beautiful facility. They had good food and activities. Support and encouragement of the residents really stood out."

"Demaree Crossing is an excellent facility. It's beautifully decorated and the nurses are attentive. My mother says the food is good. The rooms are nice. She's in a studio by herself, and it's small, but it's a lot better than some of the rooms in some other places. She's able to get her bed, a recliner, a dresser, and a TV in there. The staff is attentive, cheerful, helpful, and they know what they're doing. They have a lot of activities, outings, they play bingo, and have church services. Each resident has a plastic tote and in it are things that they enjoy doing. One resident who is a farmer has pictures of tractors that he had in his tote and he'll tell you about them. He also has packets of seeds. They have crafts and they made birdhouses the other day. They go on the bus and drive them around to look around or to go shopping."

"I visited Traditions at Reagan Park for my mother. It appeared clean. We put my mom in their waiting list. What impressed me probably was the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of it, and their activities. "

"We liked Harmony at Avon a lot. It's a beautiful place, but in my friend's situation, the expenses were a little too high. The lady that we talked to was really helpful and very knowledgeable about the facility and how she could help if it came to the point where things would have to go from private pay to Medicaid or something. We saw one of the apartments and it was nice, my friend was happy with the size of it. It was very clean. It's not too far from a hospital and eating places, and they have a shuttle service for people, so it's not like you have to drive yourself."

"We visited Greenwood Village South, and we liked it a lot. It was very nice, clean, and modern looking. The food was very good, and the facilities were great. The staff was very, very friendly, and helpful. They had a wellness center, activity rooms, a dining room, and a bistro. You could walk along the houses in the community."

"As the niece of a resident, I'm incredibly happy with what the Harrison has to offer. They provide transportation to medical appointments, delicious food options, a spacious dining room, nice facilities, plenty of activity options, and wonderful staff! They also have safety call button pendants for peace of mind! Definitely a great place to check out!"

"Altenheim is an older facility, but it's large and they have large grounds. It's very attractive but you can tell that there's a little bit of age to it. But they're making improvements to it. The staff were very nice and very accommodating. They made sure I got to see everything I needed to see, and they explained everything very clearly to me. I had a full view of the place. I don't know about the food. I have not had the chance to eat there. The dining area was very large, very bright, and very cheerful. I saw the menu that they put out like restaurant style. You get a menu, you order from the menu, and they also have an a la carte menu. The menu looked very good. It's a very nice, attractive place."

"We toured Astral at Franklin. I liked the location, cleanliness, completeness of amenities, and apartment floor plans. They served three meals a day, and they have a full kitchen."

"My dad recently moved to Fort Harrison Assited Living. What I have noticed since my dad moved in, the staff is very caring, the food is phenomenal, and you can see in the staff work how much they care about the residents. The management team is compassionate, caring and you can also notice they love what they do as well. Every time my family and I come to visit the ED door is always open and she make sure we feel welcome. Julie the BOM we love her, she is always helpful and don't mind going that extra mile to help anyone. I appreciate and glad I made the right decision to move my loved one to FH."

"Autumn Glen was nice and really elegant, but it cost too much. I would recommend it if you could afford it. It was definitely a nice place to live and was small with probably only 20 or 25 residents. It was quiet, peaceful, nice, and clean. The people were very nice. The staff was very polite and friendly. "My mother moved into Majestic Care of Carmel. They do a great job of securing the facility and taking care of the residents and keeping it clean. They're very caring there. When she has needs, they respond very well. The staff has been great. They're very responsive. When there's a particular need, they act immediately. They're wonderful. She only gets meal service on a very limited basis. She only gets it as she needs it. Most of the time, she's fixing her own meals in her room because she has a full kitchen. They do specific holiday gatherings and events, and games. They have had entertainers that come and perform. And so, they've been very pleased with the entertainers and with the activities."
