"Overall, I was very impressed with the whole thing about Sugar Grove Senior Living. I was impressed with the room, with the eating area, and I liked that the residents could pick what they wanted for breakfast as opposed to just having one or two things and you have to eat it or get something of a lesser nutritional value. Most of the rooms had really good lighting in them, and they were separated like an apartment would be, so I thought it was very nice and roomy. The person who toured us was fantastic. She spent a lot of time with us, answered our questions, was very friendly, likable, and I felt very comfortable with her. They do crafts, play physical games, and singing too."

"The tour I had at Cumberland Trace was nice. The lady was very nice. She did a good job. The apartments were fine. For me, I'd have to get rid of everything, because the rooms were small and had no real storage. Just enough room for your clothes. So, that would be the main problem for me, but the place was very nice and very clean. They watch a movie twice a week, they have a room to play games like cards, a beautyshop, a barber shop, and everything you would need."

"We are very pleased with this facility. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The apartments are spacious and functional and cleaned regularly. We appreciate having health care available on site for routine checkups. Many of the employees have been on staff for some time which is a rarity these days."

"My parents are now in Traditions at North Willow. They like it. It is a good environment and it is very clean. The staff members are polite. They look out for their residents. The activities are very good too. I haven't tried the food, but my parents seem to like it. They have a salon, an exercise room, and a theater."

"My mother is in Rittenhouse, but it is expensive. I would like to find another place for her, but we’re having trouble finding one within our budget. I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and its extreme cleanliness. They’re very caring. The apartments are very nice; the walls are painted, and you can put up anything you want. There are double and single apartments. The singles are a little on the small side, but you don’t need much other than a bed and your personal possessions, so I was really impressed. The dining setup is lovely. I have not eaten the food, but I’ve talked to people, and they said the food is very good. I know they have lots of activities. I saw the activity room and watched people do art projects, so they keep them pretty busy. I’m sure they’re fine for people on Medicaid, but I wish the business as a whole was more affordable. "

"I have been a caretaker for my husband for nearly 17 years due to a brain aneurysm and brain damage and have been very particular about my husbands care. When I travel I have tried various locations for respite care and have for the most part, been very displeased for one reason or another. That is until I experienced American Village. I was so impressed with the staff, the cleanliness of the facility and how very well kept it is. It is an older facility but you would never know walking in. Freshly painted and very welcoming. I have been fighting the need to place my husband in a nursing home full time but I can honestly say I have found a wonderful home for him there. He spent two weeks in respite care and had not one complaint. For him that is something. I am so pleased to have found this great facility "

"Worthington Place is very nice and willing to work with us on everything. They're helpful as far as getting paperwork completed for my relative. The place is very homey-looking and welcoming. The staff is friendly and gives assistance if you're looking for veteran's aid. They have an activity director so they have several activities weekly, like churches coming in, and people come in to play music."

"We have chosen Meadow Lakes for my father. His room will be ready in two weeks. It's a very family-friendly and clean community, and it's close to home. The layout of the room is for one person; it is a studio apartment. They have plenty of activities. They have shuffleboard, cornhole, and they bus them to different areas of the community in Mooresville. They have a pretty outdoor area and sidewalks. They have an activity bus that takes them to different activities. The facility is very well maintained."

"My loved one chose Traditions at Solana out of all the places we toured. We have not been disappointed yet, staff are gracious and kind. "

"I enjoyed my visit to Sunrise on Old Meridian, and I liked they had a dog there to greet you; that makes it more personal even though it's a fairly large place. Aesthetically, I like the look of it with the decorations and everything. The other parts of the building looked nice, and everybody was pleasant. I was impressed. They do all the meals, and they had a full roster of activities throughout the day including the weekends. "

"I toured Copper Trace. I thought it was clean and presentable. The staff I saw were friendly. It looked like people were willing to work with you in our situation. I was looking for the availability of single rooms for skilled nursing, and I thought even though they shared, they were accommodating to still get privacy. Even if you're sharing a bathroom or something."

"Majestic Care of Carmel Assisted Living was very nice. They have a lot of amenities. They're undergoing a major renovation in the entire building. They've been doing a very good job of upgrading the rooms, the common areas, and the dining area. They're doing everything they said they would do. The staff members were very friendly. Everyone spoke to us, introduced themselves, and told us what they did as we walked by. They have craft rooms, game rooms, a theater, a library, and sitting areas. We're looking at a two-bedroom, two bath with a kitchen. We saw the food and it smelled good. The dining area was being completely renovated. We saw it where it was about probably 80 percent done, and they were doing a really nice job. I don't know if they're expanding it, but they have really brightened it up, there were lights, and they were putting down new carpeting and new flooring. Upkeep and maintenance looked very good from what we've seen. They have a schedule of activities that they put out every month with everything that's going on each day and where it's located. They also published a menu for the month. They seemed to have good staff there, and it looked like they were well covered."
