The staff is friendly, the building is clean, and the residents actually seem to enjoy being apart of the community :) I'm happy to have found such a place and I'm more than comfortable knowing that the Avon team is taking great care of my mother. "My brother was in a nursing home in Florida and we transferred him to Countryside Meadows in Avon. He was placed in the memory care unit and the experience has been like night and day. The folks at Countryside Meadows have been phenomenal. My brother was in the nursing home in Florida for many months and we received no feedback on his care. After my brother was at Countryside Meadows for one day, we received four different phone calls from RNs, CNAs, Therapist & a Nurse Practitioner. Very clean and organized facility. I would recommend this to anyone seeking care."

"Brownsburg Meadows was very neat and clean. The young lady who took us on the tour was very helpful, friendly, and courteous. The people who were there looked very comfortable and happy. They're quite expensive. There are a lot of things for the seniors to do there and they were actively involved. I was very impressed with the place. It's a fairly new facility. They have a little movie theater, a room for exercise, a room for other activities like playing cards, and arts and crafts. The food smelled good."

"I was so impressed with the Plainfield Health Care Center. They were organized, kind, and orderly. The place smelled great as they do not allow any carpeting in there, and so it was just impeccable. They were doing construction, but they kept it away from them. So, it was just a nice atmosphere. The gal that did the tour had nothing to ruffle her feathers. She was just calm, delightful, and pleasant. She wasn't an alarmist. I've had to deal with her several times throughout the process, and she's always been the same all the time. The rooms are also big. My mom and dad are going to be in the same room, and it's bigger than their apartment, and I'll be able to put a lot of their furniture in there. There'll be a couch, a recliner, and a coffee table, too. It's going to be like a little home with their bed in there."

"Sadly, my wife acquired early age Alzheimer's Disease. After five years of caring at home, It was time to move into a facility with 24/7 memory care. I needed a place for her safety, personal care and honestly, to give me a break. I had reached my limit, lovingly, while she was at home. After visiting a few facilities, we chose the BBHC, the same place her dad lived with Alzheimer's in the 1990's. A few senior members of the staff remember her dad. The fact that they continue their employment and care for all of these years says a lot to me as a good place to work and serve. The building isn't flashy and modern, but very comfortable. The staff are wonderful. I really appreciate that friends and family can come anytime. We were allowed to personalize her room with things from home. We're allowed to bring in her favorite meals from home. "

"Wife spent two months here. Newer facility. Like most, I always say nice place to visit but not to live. No place like home. Some staff went above and beyond, some just do their jobs."

"My mom is at Wellbrooke of Avon in the nursing section. It's clean and nice. The people here are great and they seem to provide a lot. She can't do much right now, but they came around saying that they're going to have like this one night or something like that. She can't do anything, or she can't eat anything. She's just on a feeding tube. She can't be in the meals together or anything like that yet. The menu looks good but she's just on a clear liquid diet period right now/on a feeding tube. I just know they had set up to have some kind of night, like Mardi Gras or something."

"Westside Village was clean. All the residents that I encountered in the hall all seemed tidy and well cared for. It was very pleasant, and the decorations were very homey. The staff members were all very friendly. I did have the chance to try their food, and it was very good. There were different rooms all over the building. They had billiard rooms, and they said that they were building a new theater. They had a lot of exercise classes that are available to the public -- a whole range from chair exercises to the water exercises. The day I was there, they were taking a bunch of the residents out to the restaurant for lunch. They also had a chapel and a beauty parlor on site. I went for a tour, and I was there for three hours. There was that much to see. "

"Westside Village Nursing Center looked clean and nice. The rooms were decent sized. They have lounges, a dining area, entertainment areas, and a TV room. It was all opened up, so I liked it. I only talked to the person who was giving me the tour, and the rest of them seemed friendly. They have a decent room with a bed, dresser, own bathroom, and open-door shower with a chair inside. It looked comfortable enough. It's a private room. The dining area was friendly, wide, and had nice furniture. It seemed nice. They have areas for games and entertainment. I just saw the staff members walk around, helping the residents, and doing their daily chores."

"My very difficult father was admitted to this facility recently for physical therapy rehab following an illness. He was treated with excellent care by staff member who was assigned to him. Rehab staff was excellent! Social services was excellent! Nursing staff was excellent! "

"We liked Miller's Merry Manor. The dinner food was nice. I didn’t see too many staff members, but they were friendly, helpful, encourageable, and very good. They had a lot of activities. The facilities were very good, clean, very pretty, and very nice. "

"My mother was at Lakeview Manor many years ago for short term rehab care after a hip replacement and recently has returned for long term care. We were very impressed during mom's first stay at Lakeview. The care was superb and consistent, therapy was patient and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. When making the decision for our mother to go somewhere for long term care, the choice was made easy by knowing about Lakeview Manor. The time leading up to mom returning to Lakeview had her emotions all over the place and she was very nervous about such a big change, however the staff at Lakeview could not have made it any easier on not only her but us as a family. Lakeview has had a remodel since mom's last stay, the rooms are bright and spacious and the community lounges are modern, yet home like. Our mom has made a great transition and we no longer have to worry about her safety and well being constantly knowing she has wonderful 24 hour care. I would recommend this nursing home to anyone needing more care then what they are able to receive at home. "
