"Facility-wise, Harbour Manor & The Lodge was very clean and very nice. The rooms they got weren't as big as the rooms that I visited in the other two facilities, but they were still nice. The young lady did a nice job. Her name was Brooke, and I would rate her very high. She's very knowledgeable and very friendly. She toured me to the whole facility. She took me into one of the private rooms and showed me all the different things that they did. They also had a movie room and just about everything the other facilities had."

"I've never experienced a facility quite like Avon Health & Rehab. I couldn't find one thing I wasn't in love with when touring for my mother. The staff is friendly, the building is clean, and the residents actually seem to enjoy being apart of the community :) I'm happy to have found such a place and I'm more than comfortable knowing that the Avon team is taking great care of my mother. "

"My nurse friend said if you want your father to do rehab, this is the place to take him. Manorcare Health Services got him better in no time flat. They really worked with him one on one. Some of the other rehab might have three or more other people while here they worked with him one on one. They really pushed his physical therapy. It was 45 minutes of really hard and strong therapy. They took wonderful care of him. The staff was very accommodating. It is a nursing home, but he was there basically for rehab. It is the only facility that serves veterans in the area. They also do the Veterans Benefits which is rare. This is another reason I picked the place since if he had to stay, at least the VA could help out as well. The sanitation here is very clean as well. "

"I also went to visit Countryside Meadows. The facility is fairly new and it was very clean. It felt very homey too. The area they had for their dementia patients was nice. They had their own eating area and their own nurses. The staff was professional and friendly. I also had a friend whose father lives here and they are very pleased with the facility. "

"Wife spent two months here. Newer facility. Like most, I always say nice place to visit but not to live. No place like home. Some staff went above and beyond, some just do their jobs."

"My mom is at Wellbrooke of Avon in the nursing section. It's clean and nice. The people here are great and they seem to provide a lot. She can't do much right now, but they came around saying that they're going to have like this one night or something like that. She can't do anything, or she can't eat anything. She's just on a feeding tube. She can't be in the meals together or anything like that yet. The menu looks good but she's just on a clear liquid diet period right now/on a feeding tube. I just know they had set up to have some kind of night, like Mardi Gras or something."

"I was so pleased with the care my family member received at Danville. The rehabilitation was amazing. Everyone was very caring and attentive to our father's needs. It was very clean, and menus were provided to pick what he wanted to eat. Other places were ready to give up on dad and just wanted to send him home. We decided to goo to Danville Regional Rehabilitation and so glad we did! Also great small community feel. I would highly recommend! "

"I was so impressed with the Plainfield Health Care Center. They were organized, kind, and orderly. The place smelled great as they do not allow any carpeting in there, and so it was just impeccable. They were doing construction, but they kept it away from them. So, it was just a nice atmosphere. The gal that did the tour had nothing to ruffle her feathers. She was just calm, delightful, and pleasant. She wasn't an alarmist. I've had to deal with her several times throughout the process, and she's always been the same all the time. The rooms are also big. My mom and dad are going to be in the same room, and it's bigger than their apartment, and I'll be able to put a lot of their furniture in there. There'll be a couch, a recliner, and a coffee table, too. It's going to be like a little home with their bed in there."

"Sadly, my wife acquired early age Alzheimer's Disease. After five years of caring at home, It was time to move into a facility with 24/7 memory care. I needed a place for her safety, personal care and honestly, to give me a break. I had reached my limit, lovingly, while she was at home. After visiting a few facilities, we chose the BBHC, the same place her dad lived with Alzheimer's in the 1990's. A few senior members of the staff remember her dad. The fact that they continue their employment and care for all of these years says a lot to me as a good place to work and serve. The building isn't flashy and modern, but very comfortable. The staff are wonderful. I really appreciate that friends and family can come anytime. We were allowed to personalize her room with things from home. We're allowed to bring in her favorite meals from home. "

"My mother resides here, and has for the past 5 months. Overall, I feel she is well cared for and that the staff is caring. Is it perfect? No, but I am not sure that is possible. Trying to bathe and dress a dementia patient can be a nearly impossible task, which is why my father finally had to place her in the home to start with. The facilty is clean, the meals look good and the residents are engaged in activities on a regular basis. "

"We looked at Westside Garden. My mother liked that it was very bright, the people seemed active and engaged, the staff seemed very good and very caring, and the rooms were very nice. They had apartments and studios, and we looked at the 1-bedroom. However, it didn't have some of the things my parents were looking for specifically like care down the road options. It sits in a fairly secluded location, and it was nice, shady, and well-cared for. They have a bus and scheduled doctor visits type of services."

"Westside Village Nursing Center looked clean and nice. The rooms were decent sized. They have lounges, a dining area, entertainment areas, and a TV room. It was all opened up, so I liked it. I only talked to the person who was giving me the tour, and the rest of them seemed friendly. They have a decent room with a bed, dresser, own bathroom, and open-door shower with a chair inside. It looked comfortable enough. It's a private room. The dining area was friendly, wide, and had nice furniture. It seemed nice. They have areas for games and entertainment. I just saw the staff members walk around, helping the residents, and doing their daily chores."

"My very difficult father was admitted to this facility recently for physical therapy rehab following an illness. He was treated with excellent care by staff member who was assigned to him. Rehab staff was excellent! Social services was excellent! Nursing staff was excellent! "
