We decided to stay here in Westside Garden Plaza, and we are very happy here. The food and everything is great. A lot of the people have been here for years, and they absolutely love it. You get that sense when you come in the door. Both the staff and the residents are all extremely friendly. We get three meals a day and wonderful services. The rooms are bright and larger than what we had. In the independent living, you have to press something in the mornings to let them know that you are OK. They will check on you if they don't hear from you. There is a lot of activity. It is very, very busy. They go on trips/outings to the casino, to go shopping, or to the doctors. The dining area is like being in a restaurant. There are tablecloths and the help seem to know your name.

We will be moving into Westside Garden Plaza. We liked it because it had a lot more activities, has a swimming pool, and a fitness center. It also has paths to walk outside. It was just beautiful when you enter the place. We've put a down payment on a 2-bedroom with a sunroom. It has two bedrooms, a living room, a small kitchen, and all three meals are provided. That's another advantage too, we don't want to do any more cooking. They come in and clean once a week and change the beds. They had a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave. We looked at a lot of places and this place had more to offer than some of the others. The staff who took us around was very professional and very friendly. We did have a meal, and the food was great.

I will be moving into Westside Garden Plaza. They were well organized and have a lot of amenities. They have a swimming pool. The apartments were bigger than anything I saw before. The room is very nice. It has a small kitchen, a fairly small living room, and the bedroom is surprisingly big. The bathroom was spotless. You walk into the shower. It has a walk-in closet. The activities are posted every day. There are so many things that you have to pick and choose because you can't do them all. They go out for dinner. They go to the symphony, and at least two days are available for grocery stores. It's very busy, and everybody was extremely friendly. The staff were very friendly and very efficient. They are good. The facility is spotless.

I gave it 1 star because there is no zero. Mother went there for rehab and the care she received was horrible. The staff are rude and management is terrible. Mom complained of pain and her complaints were ignored. I dont even know if she ever saw a doctor because I never received any updates. Nobody ever answers the phone & with Covid I couldnt go there. Brought Mom home because her condition got so bad because she had blood clots and Stage 4 pressure ulcer from sitting in a wheelchair all day wet!!

My mother is at Westside Garden Plaza. It's a beautiful 4-story building, like living in a hotel, it's got its little problems, but overall we've been happy. She's in independent living right now. The staff is wonderful, when I leave we sign in and sign out who were there to see, I'll stand at the front desk, talk to the ladies there, and they've been wonderful. They have a very structured puzzle table, 350 to 750 pieces are preferred, and there's TV in that area, so they can catch up on what's on TV, and do the puzzle. I've been there and have seen cornhole, there's a bus that takes them to doctor's appointments, and last summer they were showing a baseball movie outside, and it was very sweet. They do have a menu, they order off a menu, mom wished there were healthy choices, and they have gone through a couple of cooks, but she would never be hungry. I even ate there a couple of times, and was pleasantly surprised.

I loved Westside Garden Plaza. I wish that would have been the place we ended up going to because its amazing. They have so many activities, so much of everything and anything a person could ever want in a place. The staff is friendly and could come down any time, day or night. They have like a whole kitchen or a bistro; the residents can go any time and get anything they want. Breakfast, dinner and lunch, you can get those meals served to you restaurant style, and there were a lot of pews or places to sit. They have physical therapy; they have a button you could push if you need help like a life alert. Even if you dont, they still come down and check on you or call the cops if you need an ambulance. Theyve got it together, and the place itself is nice and beautiful, the building is really beautiful as well and top-notch. We saw both independent and assisted living during the tour. In independent you can actually move your insurance to pay for the nurses, and you have so many choices as to how you can live there.

DO NOT recommend this facility if you are looking for any type of quality care for your loved one. My mother in law has been here for almost 3 weeks post surgery, has complained of pain around her drainage tube area for 5 days in a row and when I went today to meet with the social worker to go over her progress they asked if she had any other concerns so she mentioned the pain around the drainage tube again. Long story short the doctor on staff finally came in with the head nurse took a look at it and the bag the tube drains into and said yes she should probably go to Eskinezi ER to have it examined. Thank God there is no infection to speak of however, due to the laziness of the staff and the time it takes to just get a glass of water to a patient, my mother in law in now back in the hospital being treated for dehydration which has caused problems with her kidneys. This facility is a joke. The aids spend more time gossiping and complaining about their salary than taking care of their patients. A hour and a half to refill a water glass? Seriously, you people should be ashamed of yourselves. Please if you care about your loved ones DO NOT SEND THEM HERE.

2 years has gone by and now the facility is very understaffed. My mom isn't treated nearly as well and most days Cry's about her treatment to me. It takes literally 2/hours for help and when she does get it they are rude and act like she is bothering them. Unfortunately medicare/medicaid beds are hard to come by. So she just has to continue living each day in a place that isn't what it used to be. If i could put a zero start score i would.

We looked at Westside Garden. My mother liked that it was very bright, the people seemed active and engaged, the staff seemed very good and very caring, and the rooms were very nice. They had apartments and studios, and we looked at the 1-bedroom. However, it didn't have some of the things my parents were looking for specifically like care down the road options. It sits in a fairly secluded location, and it was nice, shady, and well-cared for. They have a bus and scheduled doctor visits type of services.

Westside Garden Plaza is a very established care center, but they didn't have rehab until last year, and it's an add-on. The staff seemed very industrious and seemed to care a lot about their patients, and they spend a lot of time in their rooms. The semi-private rooms are nice and spacious. The food is delicious, they do it really well, and they cater to just about any menu. They make sure my wife can eat what they're serving, and they've evidently hired someone who can cook.

Westside Garden Plaza is a very nice place, and they are very caring and supportive. The rooms are well lit and very nice. They can control the temperature with the thermostat in each room. They have a lot of activities. They have a swimming pool, a sauna, a gym, and a walking trail. The dining area is like a very nice restaurant. The place is very secure and very clean. It smells very nice as well. They have music playing all the time. They call residents by name, so that makes them feel important. Everybody is very helpful.

They have been very helpful and accommodating. It's the best thing I can say about Westside Garden Plaza. They went out of their way to make sure things got taken care of with my dad, so we are really grateful to them. The food is fairly good, and they have very good activities.

I like the fact that everybody that we saw there at Westside Garden Plaza wasn't using a walker or a cane. It was not clinical looking. It had many apartment size choices. It is a facility that my mom can be in regardless of the state of her health. The menu is excellent, and the sanitation of this facility looked fabulous. The staff was very informative. The people that were walking around weren't wearing hospital type of clothing. They were very neat in appearance. They seem to be friendly, and they seem to know who their residents were as they pass amongst them.

I visited Westside Garden Plaza, but their cost was way too high. It has really nice apartments. I didn't see any of the single rooms. That wasn't what I was looking for. The staff was fine. It was just one lady that I didn't care for much. I think it is fairly safe there. I don't need a fully furnished apartment. I have my own stuff. I guess I would recommend them. Some of the staff is iffy. They could be a little bit more polite to the people they talk to like their prospective clients. I'm not saying all of the staff is impolite. A lot of the staff is very good. It was just one lady that I didn't care for. I'm not saying she isn't nice. It's just that my first impression was not very good.

I found Westside Garden Plaza through word of mouth. The staff is pretty good, and they try to keep track of things pretty well. This place is good in general. My father is in an apartment that has kind of a little living area with kitchenette and then a bedroom and a bathroom. He seems to like the food pretty well. They have an activities director, and they have people come in from the outside and do seminars and speak. They'll take them off for shopping trips, and they have bingo and card games. Compared to those I've seen that's in the same kind of price range, it is pretty good.

Westside Village was clean. All the residents that I encountered in the hall all seemed tidy and well cared for. It was very pleasant, and the decorations were very homey. The staff members were all very friendly. I did have the chance to try their food, and it was very good. There were different rooms all over the building. They had billiard rooms, and they said that they were building a new theater. They had a lot of exercise classes that are available to the public -- a whole range from chair exercises to the water exercises. The day I was there, they were taking a bunch of the residents out to the restaurant for lunch. They also had a chapel and a beauty parlor on site. I went for a tour, and I was there for three hours. There was that much to see.

The Westside Village was real nice. It was close to town. Everybody was real nice there. It had good activity program with transportation, just about anything that a senior would want. They had card games going on. They like to go on trips. We ate a meal there; it was very nice. They had large rooms. Their dining room was excellent; the facility was excellent.

I thought Westside Retirement Village was great, but it was extremely high. Not everyone can afford something like that, but it was outstanding. It was progressive. You went on a 1-bedroom apartment. They checked on you twice a day if you didn't come down for whatever meal that you chose to include in your rent. If you were sick, you could pick off a menu and order and they'd bring it up to you. We'd go and have lunch with her at different times and you'd pay like $7 and you can have anything on the menu. The food is great, better than any hospital I've ever been to or seen. For one person, the room was alright. She used a cane and a walker, so she'd get around, but when her scooter was in there, it was cramped. She took some of her furniture with her, but it was nicely furnished. It had a full kitchen, they have a refrigerator, an oven with a range in it and microwave. There were times they went to Lincoln and Covington, Indiana to the steak house. They went to watch a Pacers game. They went different places, they had a Cadillac and a mini bus that they could take them to the shopping center. They had a variety of activities. They played cards and they had different people that would come in and entertain. Then she got older and she went to the assisted living level, which was a very small refrigerator, a microwave, a sink, a bed and they had a little table, an easy chair and a TV. That was about it, but it was okay for her. They took her down to physical therapy. They kept her active. And then at the very end, she was in the nursing home side. You couldn't ask for anything better and they treated us all like we were great, very welcoming. It wasn't home, but she said it was wonderful that they had a place like that.

DO NOT LET THE BEAUTIFUL FACILITY FOOL YOU! Just look below and the Medicare rating! They are horrible. I would give it a NEGATIVE 5 if I could! My loved one was there for short term physical therapy with a plan to come home in a few weeks! They were transported to the hospital in worse shape then when they arrived and the hospital was APPALLED at the horrible condition. They said it was obvious this person was uncared for, ignored, never moved or turned and never received ANY physical therapy! Their DON's drop like flies! The staff couldn't care less. Your loved one WILL suffer here! Understaffed and what they do have is poor at best! Lights go unanswered for HOURS on end! Everyone is forced into a diaper, and only changed once per day! Check your dignity at the door!

Westside Garden had a convenient location and good amenities for the price. My mom has been living there for two months now. They had nice a dining room and work out area, a pool for therapy, and a nice gazebo for sitting. The staff are okay. I tried their food a couple of times and it seemed fine. They had activities for the residents but I'm not able to tell what that's like yet. They can improve on the follow up and assistance with their clients so they can inform us about it.

I didn't like Garden Plaza for my parents. There was nobody watching their medicines and nobody giving them showers. They were left on their own. The place is more for independent living and so it wasn't a good fit for them.

Westside Retirement Village seems to be an excellent option for those needing assisted living. The rooms are more than adequately sized and have nice accommodations. The staff have always been friendly, both to me and to those living within the facility. The grounds are beautifully kept. There are several activity rooms, which are helpful not only in staying active, but also for staying social. It seems like those that take care of the individuals in the facility are trustworthy and care about their work. It was not too long ago I also was able to share a meal with my friend at this facility; the food is of decent quality and the selections were varied enough that I feel the options would not become stale. I did find the scratch marks in the elevator to be a tad peculiar, but I attribute them mostly to wheelchairs and other equipment that was being transported via the elevator. All in all, I think it's a fantastic facility with great amenities and a comfortable environment for its residents.

The nurses are very caring and make sure to provide every comfort to the residents there. I have never heard my grandmother complain about the place at all. They get the residents together to play all sorts of games and do activities and things together. She particularly enjoys Dirty Poker. The food isn't bad. The temperature is kept nice year-round.
