"Rawlins House and Fall Creek Retirement Village appeared to be very nice. We had people in there before. My wife's mom and her aunt and uncle had been over there, and it was nice. We like it. The staff was very knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. We didn't go to the actual kitchen area and where they make the meals, but other than that, we saw the whole place. The rooms that we looked at had been renovated. They were going through updating and renovating the rooms. They had new equipment in terms of new refrigerators, and stoves, and they put in new carpets, too. The rooms were very nice. Even during the Covid, they were able to get in many group activities to keep them occupied. The major drawback at the time was Covid and once we took my mom there, it was going to be four weeks that we couldn't go in to visit because it was a quarantine period. Nevertheless, they had a big common room where they would get together and play games. The staff was very good and I like the way the place was laid out."

"My Grandmother was in a nursing home for a little while after we discovered that she had a variation of Parkinson's disease. My family is a large one, so somebody was almost always there at the nursing home with her. Because of this, my family got to know the staff quite well. Most of the staff was kind, efficient, and very personable. While there my grandmother improved, but not as much as she did once we brought her back home. I respect this nursing home and appreciate how they cared for my grandmother. I know what it is like to work in a nursing home and how hectic it can be, so I could relate to the aides in the facility more than most. The staff was always polite to my family and rarely treated us as if we were in the way. While a nursing home can never provide the same care as an actual home, where care is provided by one's own children, this nursing home was a suitable option. "

"I went to St. Paul Hermitage. I only talked to sister Helen, who's in charge of admissions, and she's wonderful. It's a nice facility. It's run by the catholic sisters, and they have the opportunity to go to mass everyday, you have a chapel there onsite. It was nice, the apartment was nice, and clean. I would have felt very comfortable if my parents would have been a good match. They don't offer memory care, and my parents have Alzheimer's. It was a very quiet neighborhood."

"This home is a great facility to bring your loved one to. They have the nicest personnel working there. They are always on top of things and know how to make the member living there comfortable and their family members. I would reccommend this place to everyone. "

"This facility provided sufficient care and catered to the resident's special dietary requirements. I found the live birds in the entryway to be a nice touch and the resident enjoyed watching them. The staff had no problem with us checking the patient out to wander the grounds or even go offsite for a time. Obviously, this is handled on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, a very friendly dog wanders around the facility from time to time, which is pleasant for residents.The staff was friendly and seemed competent. They were prompt about seeing to needs, and were pleasant to visitors as well as residents. They answered my questions about the resident's care openly, and were happy to direct me to the right people to talk to about mail, food, etc.My only significant complaint was that several of the hallways had a strong smell of stale urine. I understand that some people in the facility lack control of their bodily functions, but I would hope properly cleaning such messes would be a high priority. "

"I really liked how the staff took care of my aunt. They made sure she ate and was clean and groomed. They also ensured that she got her exercise, even if it was just walking back and forth down the halls. I also liked how neat they kept her room and how organized everything was. My aunt's room had a place for everything, and the closet was well oranized with space to hang up her clothes, and drawers to put her underwear in. The only thing I didn't like, which was my reasoning for rating this place a 4 instead of a 5, was that there was a stench that you could smell as soon as you walked in the door. My first time there I expected the place not to be clean, but come to find out it was the exact opposite. Overall, I think this is a great place for my aunt to be taken care of because I know she is in good hands. I would definately recommend other people to leave their love ones in the care of Bethany Village. "

"My mother was in Rosegate for rehab about two weeks. Everything was pretty restricted because of COVID. She had a change in roommate and that didn't go well. I had no problem with how things went, but I wasn't staying there. Everybody was helpful in taking care, keeping her up with medicines, following doctor's orders, and doing her rehab work. I thought it was in a nice location. There were plenty of things there to do, but she just didn't feel like doing it."

"I have been at the facility twice lately. It a nice, clean place. The residents are happy as well as the staff. Friendly outgoing and very positive vibes each time I went into the facility. Very family oriented."

"Rosewalk took my friend for hospice care for end stage Alzheimers after another nursing home's lack of care resulted in bedsores, dehydration and severe infection. I had already contacted Rosewalk about transferring her before this happened, but when it did, I assumed hospice would happen in hospital. Rosewalk staff still came to the hospital to evaluate her and accepted her for care. They took wonderful care of my friend! With a special wheelchair, she was up and dressed every day, and kept near nursing staff all the time. She was fed and the intake amounts monitored and reported, and when things worsened, they got her a special mattress to prevent bedsores and shift her side to side. Because Rosewalk is very close to my home, I was able to pop in anytime and I never once had cause for concern. Everyone in contact with her could give me good details about how she had done that day. My daughter in law's mother is now in another facility at a very young age, and I would strongly encourage her to transfer to Rosewalk if there is an opening. They take good care of the residents, it is clean, and for the most part, cheerful. That part is very important. I never felt like any of the staff were resentful or grouchy. I am very grateful for the quality of life and care they gave to my friend."

"My mother has dementia and she needs 24-hour care. Right now, she is in Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She is doing a lot better now. When she first went in, she was very aggressive. I guess the changes were hard for her and that she didn't understand. However, she has adjusted and it seems like her attitude and everything has changed. She is now walking on her own, she is more alert, and she is not as sick as she was at that time. They're doing pretty good in terms of care. They're not on top of everything or perfect, but they're good. They address issues and they get to it right away. They really make me feel and my mother feel at home. They call me and let me know about her meds if there are changes or if she had a fall, just about anything. They keep me updated on things. For the most part, they're good. They are a little short-staffed. The facility itself though needs a lot of upgrading. It is an old facility and I'm not really crazy about my mother's room. However, they do keep the facility clean. "
