"My dad was in Homeview Health and Rehabilitation. He was in memory care; he had Alzheimer's. I appreciated the advisor there. The memory care supervisor has been excellent in keeping us informed about his condition, and the care he was given was excellent. There was physical therapy, a barber, foot care by a doctor, and a physician that looked at them frequently. The rooms were awesome. They had no COVID at all while he was there, they provided us with a tremendous amount of support while he was dying, allowed us to be with him as he passed, and we appreciated that. They accommodated above and beyond his issues."

"Compass Park Indiana Masonic Home was a beautiful campus. It had large open spaces, a lot of new buildings, and newly renovated buildings. That to me is the cream of the crop. The staff was very friendly, very concerned, and almost like family to the residents. They had all kinds of activities down there. They've got many trips off- campus for the residents, they have a medical facility on site, regular group outings, football nights in the lounge, a pub where people gather to watch baseball games, and huge beautiful dining rooms. The food was amazing. They cater to the individual if there are special dietary needs. They make sure that the kitchen staff is aware of them and prepares special meals just for them. I had a friend there that was gluten intolerant and they had their onsite bakery staff make him a gluten-free birthday cake and that was the first time he's had a birthday cake in many, many years. He loved it. They have assisted living, full-time nursing medical center, independent housing, and individual homes and cottages on the campus that get the same benefits as the residents in the assisted living. It's a wonderful place, and it's less expensive than a lot of the facilities that are in Northwest Indiana where I live. It's highly recommended because of the atmosphere of being a family there and their focus on the residents."

"I think the staff at Franklin Meadows is great. My loved one has dementia and they are very well trained on how to handle it. The only complaint I have is the building its in very bad shape. Wish they would move to a new building. "

"Although this facility may be cosmetically appealing to the eye, I can assure you the care my loved one received here was appalling. My loved one stayed at Aspen Trace for rehabilitation following a hospital stay. This family member was found several times connected to an oxygen machine that was either not plugged in to the wall or attached to a portable one which had run out of oxygen. My loved one also experienced a genital rash due to lack of bathing. My family was told bathing and physical rehab is regularly scheduled and often neither were completed. It was extremely difficult to request a chest x-ray, etc. when it was obvious our loved one was suffering from a chest infection or pneumonia. There was an extremely long wait once the call button was pushed, likely due to lack of staffing. The food was horrific and was usually delivered whole (if at all), not following the mechanical soft (pureed), physician ordered preparation. When my family requested help from the front desk staff, nurses, or assistants, it was as though you are personally inconveniencing them and an annoyance. My family is tight-knit and believe in being each other’s advocate. A member of our family visited every day, and it was the epitome of stressful. My family and I can’t caution highly enough to refrain from using this facility for yourself or a loved one. "

"My mother has been a resident at Greenwood Village South for the past five years, and I have been consistently impressed with the level of care she receives. The nurses, CNAs, and therapy staff are kind, patient, and attentive, and they treat her with real dignity and respect. The building is clean and well‑maintained, and I often see staff interacting warmly with residents rather than just ‘doing tasks.’ Communication with the family has been excellent; they keep me informed about any changes and are responsive when I have questions. I am very grateful we chose Greenwood Village South and would highly recommend it to other families looking for compassionate, professional long‑term care."

"I have visited on many occasions and each time I was there I had seen the way they work together.. Also I had noticed if call light would go off it was answered right away. I had been to many places were the call light would be on 10+ minutes and I would see 4+people at the nurses station just talking and laughing while 4 call lights were on. Very nice place and very clean. Friendly staff. "

"Mom really likes University Heights Family-first Senior Living from CarDon. She has had no complaints being there. She has a private room and we have a relative that's also there, and they're right across the hall from each other, so that makes it nice for all the family. We've had no issues with the nurses and their staff at all. They are very nice and very helpful. She likes the food and she's excited about it, because they bring her a menu every three days so she gets to choose what she wants to eat. She also likes bingo, the church service, and the music where they have people come and play songs. The dining room is very nice. The rooms are very clean. It's an older nursing home, but it's very clean and very organized. Mom's room is nice and she has plenty of room in it. She's got a little table, chairs, her little closet, pictures on the wall, and a little coffee bar with drawers underneath it. She's got her own snacks, too."

"My sister-in-law has moved into Greenwood Meadows. I think it's clean and cheerful. The staff are friendly. It doesn't have a bad smell. It's pleasant with lots of windows and light coming in. They offer lots of activities, but my sister-in-law had a stroke, so she has no speech currently and doesn't participate. They do have a daily schedule like bingo, and someone coming in and playing music. They have activities every day, but she hasn't attended. They have church services, games, crafts, and quite a few things. The food is good, usually hot, and enjoyed by my sister-in-law. The dining room is clean, bright, and well decorated. There's a schedule hanging on the wall in her room where they have activities every day. She's on Medicare right now, and I know the cost for private pay is like average of every place else."

"My parents are in long-term care at Rosegate. They seem to be taken care of well. I haven't had any problems with them. Their room is pretty homey. If I was to say something bad, it would probably be that they probably should have somebody cleaning it a little more. I clean the room twice a week because they don't get cleaned as much. Other than that, they do a good job, and they do what they can. Food is hit and miss, but overall, it's good. I substitute them with snacks. I bring stuff just in case what they get isn't filling. They get a lot better meals. I specifically asked my stepdad this question yesterday, and he said that he liked it a whole lot better than the other place. The staff has been helpful. If I have any concerns, they address it well. My mom got dementia, so they don't discuss a whole lot of matters with her, but they take care of everything."

There are therapy services, hospice care, on site dialysis is available, and long and short and respite stays are welcome.
