My husband was a resident for a short while. He was nearly killed by an overdose. We chose this facility because of a 5 star rating. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The service was poor. The rooms looked nothing like their website. We had one nurse that was kind but the rest of staff not so much. When I went to pick up by husbands belongings while he was still in the hospital recovering from his overdose they were rude and did not even ask how he was doing or sorry for him being there. I asked for his records and again I had to jump through hoops to get them. Still no concern over my husbands well being. Do not send a loved one here.

This facility is poorly ran. My daughter was there for physical therapy. She was supposed to be there for 2 to 3 months. She was not getting all of her therapy sessions due to short staffing. She ended up being sent to the hospital with e Coli three weeks after she got there. When we went back to sign her out and get her things, we found that her roommate, an elderly lady with dementia had been removed by her family because they broke her arm and let her lay there for a week with no treatment. Her family noticed her arm was swollen and forced them to call her an ambulance. Had my daughter not been of sound mind, she would have died before they took her to the hospital.

I have visited on many occasions and each time I was there I had seen the way they work together.. Also I had noticed if call light would go off it was answered right away. I had been to many places were the call light would be on 10+ minutes and I would see 4+people at the nurses station just talking and laughing while 4 call lights were on. Very nice place and very clean. Friendly staff.

My mother was admitted on Monday evening for rehab. By Friday morning she was back in the hospital with a broken hip and a huge knot and bruise on her head. She had fallen twice in one night. She was supposed to be a fall risk with an alarm from day one. The staff repeatedly said they would put an alarm on her, but never did, not even after the first fall. I wouldn't trust this staff with my dog.

I visited Greenwood Health and Living. The man that runs the office was very helpful and nice, but we just felt the rooms were too small. They shared bathroom, which we didn't like. They had two rooms, not just two people in the room, but two rooms would share one bathroom. It was too small of an atmosphere for my father.

Both my parents passed away at this nursing home (Greenwood Health & Living); my mom in 2007, my dad in 2014. We were very pleased w/ the care given to my mom but were sorely disappointed (7 years later) in the care of my Dad. My sibling & I each visited my Dad every day. We felt we had to "put out fires" daily, having to track down employees for basic care. Some of the nursing staff need to retire or resign. The young Dir. of Nursing was our "go-to" person - she was kind, hardworking, and seemed concerned. We are getting ready to make a payment of $2,940.00 for 11 days of room & board and feel reluctant to send it for 11 days of disappointment, stress, and lack of care. We cannot give GH&L a high or average rating.
