My mom is in rehab at Otterbein SeniorLife Franklin. The care was really good. Every time my mom needs assistance, they answer the call. As far as their pain management, they were the only ones (besides the hospital) my mom was in to actually get it under control. My mom just feels comfortable there. Everybody is nice. She doesn't like the food very much. They all get private rooms. They have a kitchen, a dining area, and a community center area. I know it's an assisted living or a rehabilitation center, but I think it could feel a little bit more like home. The facility is spotless. They keep it very, very clean. It's only like 20 minutes away from the house, so this is easier for me to go visit.

We went to Otterbein SeniorLife Franklin. They had a woodshop, painting, and a greenhouse. The rooms were fine. The only problem was they didn't have two-bedroom units. It was just a main room and a bedroom. The bathrooms were a little old and they had high curbs, getting in and out of them. Otterbein is a little bit older, but part of its charm was it's older. It would have been a lovely place to go. The atmosphere was wonderful. The only reason we needed a two-bedroom apartment is that our parents don't sleep together, but there were couples that were in their one-bedroom apartments and that wasn't the issue. The issue is, the price they were charging for the second person was almost as much as they were charging for one person. We have visited lots of assisted living places and usually, the second person is less than $1000 because mostly you're just paying for food. The first person is paying for the two-bedroom apartment, so the second person doesn't cost much, but Otterbein was charging like $3780 for the second person. Every place else we looked at is anywhere from $700 to $1000. Adding a second person made it astronomically expensive. If you need assisted living and you just need a one-bedroom, it's amazing, I'd go there. They had all the extra activity spaces.

My brother has been in Otterbein SeniorLife Franklin for six months now. They have cottages on the outside of the place. You start there and you rent, and then when you progress and get where you can't live alone, they take you in the big part of it. He went directly into the health side because he had more needs. The facility is old and looks nice, but they're in the process of painting and remodeling. They lied to me, they showed us the room and he didn't even get that room, and they told us it was somebody else who got it. And my brother was to share with somebody else. It's a big old room and they have a solid wall and he's on one side and some other guy is on the other. They're short on help. My brother has waited over an hour before to try to get help in that place. I'm not impressed with the place. The food is great there though.

I went to Otterbein SeniorLife Franklin. It was very nice. I can't say anything less about it. They were very, very good there. They take really good care of their patients. The rooms were clean. The patients were well taken care of. The staff was very attentive to the patients. I saw the dining room, and it was very nice and welcoming. The rooms were nice. For one person, they were comfortable. They were playing bingo and things like that with the residents, so that was nice.

I like the decor and the care that Otterbein Franklin Senior Life Community gives, as well as the housekeeping, and laundry. If my friend needs to switch over to assisted living, they can do that for her, and the food is good. That's important. She has been there for almost a month now and they are friendly, open, and answered many questions. If she needs something, the maintenance comes and fixes it. The staff is just excellent and very friendly. Everything's very pristine. They have Wii bowling and bingo.

My mom moved into Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community. She knew people there already, they are medicaid waiver, and they have different levels of help all the way to nursing home. She said the food is very good. We saw a studio and a one-bedroom; she chose a one-bedroom. The staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable. They're doing exercises, movies, stuff via the TV on a special channel, and they are going to the dining room to eat while maintaining social distancing.

Franklin United Methodist Community had individual homes and apartments. The accommodations and facility were excellent, and the food was good. They had a good woodworking shop for the men. They took bus trips to a lot of places, like shows and theaters. They also had card games.

I have visited this facility for over 40 years. It is always very clean. The staff are friendly and show genuine care for the residents. They offer anything from independent cottages, to full nursing home care. They do tend to be costly, but if you are a retired Methodist pastor they do provide cost reductions.

The staff at Franklin United Methodist Community was nice and good. The place was clean and did not have any smell. They had good-sized white rooms and a big cafeteria.
