"I liked that everything at Mill Ridge Village Retirement was handicapped-accessible. I liked that they did all the maintenance inside and out. They were just too expensive for an older person on a budget. The apartments were nice. I talked to the general manager. He was very nice and very informative. When I was there, they had just finished a musical concert. They had snacks out for the people that visited for the concert, and they offered it to us. The facility was very, very impressive."

"I went to this facility to visit my grandma who has been there for 6 to 7 months. She has been asking my family and I to visit her ever since she has been there. We just went about 3 days ago and I thought very highly of the village. The building looked very clean and new and the landscaping was wonderful. Inside the staff greeted us and seemed to interact with us and the residents very well. Everything was very clean and nice looking. The only real negative that I experienced while I was there was that we had to wait for someone to assist us for about 5-10 minutes after arriving. After that everything went very smooth and they had no problem taking us back to my grandma and letting us visit her. Overall I'd say my experience at this nursing home was a very positive experience. In fact, I wouldn't mind living in a place like this once I am old enough too, and hopefully my kids and grand-kids will have the same positive experience I did. "

"I will move into Ohio Living Mount Pleasant. I chose them because they're very friendly. They have social workers as the directors at the front, which I is very good. They also have continuous care. It's a complete thing. They had activities that I really liked. They have a duplicate bridge, and they have a choir. Those are two things that interest me. It's a full kitchen, including a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer in the units, and two meals a day, and one meal on Saturday and Sunday, which is fine with me. You can choose whichever meals you want to go to. They serve three meals a day, but you only go to two. Mine will be lunch and dinner because their breakfast is at nine, and I get up at seven. I've eaten there three times. It's very good. Christine explained everything. I'm all going to be on the second floor, overlooking a big patio area. They have a separate building that is a health center, which is like a workout gym that you can use, and they have water aerobics, too."

"We visited this facility to tour a few of the villas, or individual resident units with my grandparents about a year ago. At the time we saw several different configurations, including two and three bedroom units that were beautifully constructed. One of the many benefits of this facility is the grounds, which are professionally maintained. Each resident is allowed to keep a garden as well and is assisted in the maintenance of this outdoor space. My grandparents waited about six months for their preferred villa to become available and moved in recently. They love the atmosphere and amenities. In my opinion, this facility is better than most because of the combination of assisted living and traditional "nursing" care. There is a central building with more traditional end of life (intensive) care that is surrounded by independent homes or villas for those who need less care. The combination is especially important as couples age and one partner needs more care than the other. The more independent partner can stay in their home and be right across the street from the partner in the nursing home. "

"I have my name on the list at Christian Village, but there is a long waiting list. It is close to my church, so it is where I want to be. The rooms were beautiful. I ate lunch there, and the dining room was very nice, the menu was great, and the food was very good. "

"My experience with Berkeley Square was excellent. Excellent staff. We saw their one-bedroom apartment and their one-bedroom house-type thing. They have a swimming pool with activities and everything around it, plus accommodation. They're very nice. I like this community very much. The facilities were excellent."
