My ex-husband has been in Franklin Meadows. They do not have enough help there. Everybody is friendly, but they keep the residents confined to a small area. Either you're in your room or you go into the kitchen eating area and that's it. It could be they're short of staff or whatever, but I just don't feel like they give the patients the stimulation that they need. The few times that I've been there that they were supposed to do puzzles or play bingo, they weren't. When I've been there on the weekend, I don't know if their cook or a dietitian is not there, but they just bring out a sandwich with a fruit and a drink, and to me, that's not a meal. I'm not there every day, so I don't know what their weekday meals are, but their weekend meals are not that good. I believe the staff is working with what they have. It's an old place, and they need to brighten it up, cheer up the place, or expand it.

I think the staff at Franklin Meadows is great. My loved one has dementia and they are very well trained on how to handle it. The only complaint I have is the building its in very bad shape. Wish they would move to a new building.

I would have wished to know to buy his things at goodwill, not to bring nice cloths. Because they all go missing for some reason!! Even his new birthday shirt I gave him on the 5th.
