My father-in-law was in Greenwood Healthcare Center. I like the attentiveness and caring of the staff. The grounds were beautiful. The buildings were clean. The rooms were spacious and very sunny.

The place stinks of urine and that's really enough said. 3 nurses at the nurse's station that never left the desk. No rounding by an RN that I could ever see. Residents needs not met. My family member was on hospice and could not make his needs known and no one asked. Didn't see staff engaging with the residents and no activities on the weekends, I guess. I'd call this place one of the most pitiful places on Earth.

Greenwood Healthcare Center was very dated. It's rather hospital-like. The staff spent a lot of time on their phones, which I thought was unnecessary when you're on the floor. My brother was there for 6 hours and then was transferred to a hospital (but not for anything they did). His room was plain when he was there. The facility looked clean, but the halls were kind of cluttered.

Don't bring your loved ones here. I had a terrible aide, Logan, he let my dads catheter bag break, he would never empty it and my dad would beg it to be emptied, I would ever see him throughout the shift, weekend manager was Amy, she would never do anything about the aide logan, the aides are very lazy on rehab, nurses Julie and Dawn were the best, the rest were lazy, I would watch a big lady poop in broad day light where everyone could see when they walked by, disgusting, rehab always smells of urine and poop, because they don't empty the catheters and don't empty urinals, some have 2 urinals sitting on their bedside tables because the aides are too lazy to empty them and wash them out. Disgusting. My family would walk in and the aides would be ganged up behind the nurses desk on their phones, or sleeping in the side room, not answer call lights, they go and turn call ligts off and go back on their phone. My dad had a trach for a while, his trach was gross, I asked the rude respiratory girl candie to help him, she looked at me and said no. its done monthly, well it was 2 months overdue, food was horrible, I brought my family member food hard bread, he was a diabetic and he wouldnt have diabetic diet, place is dirty, the carpet in rehab is so stained of pee and poo, smells bad

I am currently a resident of this facility. I truly only have a few complaints. The food to me is bland, boring, and tasteless. But I understand why....all the people here on different diets it would be nearly impossible to please everyone or no one. The worst issue I dealt with was getting certain staff to allow me more than 2 showers a week. I understand that they have routines but all the CNA'S had to do was let me get myself on the shower chair and roll me into the shower room. A nurse that is a bit higher up on the food chain helped me get it settled. You would think they would encourage an extra shower from a few people. It simply required me talking to someone higher up to get my needs met. Pretty good place. A lot of good staff but the lazy one's ruin the aspect of good patient care. Sincerely, Rebecca Machlan

My father is facility for very short time for rehabilitation. August 23, 2021-Oct 20th. He was promptly exposed to Covid. The first time he didn’t develop symptoms the second time he did. The facility misinformed us of his symptoms. We were told he was “fine”. After 2 days In fact he became so ill he was admitted to the ICU. My father died of complications due to Covid. Had I known that it was not required of the employees to be vaccinated, and I known that most of the employees would not wear masks or PPE and I know that they would not require my dad to wear a mask I would’ve never allowed him to be put in his place. I regret every minute that he was there. They consistently lost his clothes he was never given the treatment I would’ve wanted. And the fact that he died needlessly is beyond heartbreaking. My dad was fully vaccinated. He was due however for a booster shot. Please people get vaccinated please make your employees get vaccinated. This disease is killing our vulnerable family members

This place is probably one of the best facilities I've ever stayed in! Staff are very attentive and the management seems to be on the ball. With all this Covid stuff going on I have felt safe and secure. The food is way above average for a nursing facility. Not like moms by any means but quite good. The team just seems to really get along and communication flows smoothly. Hats off to Greenwood Healthcare!!!! Keep up the GREAT job!

Nurse's were constantly on their phones and wish not yo be bothered. ONE incident... we went to the nurse's station to get a few questions answered about my father. As the nurses were sitting in the chairs directly on the opposite side of the counter, they did not acknowledge the presence. Once we asked a specific question the response was I am not his nurse. She then asked the nurse and the nurse was on her cell phone and said in a rude tone "I am busy right now what do you want?" There were multiple incidents where we were not acknowledged as we approach the nurses stations due to Cellular devices. The facility smells of urine that cannot be masked by cleaning chemicals. I suggest you take tours of other facilities before choosing this one. My father was transported out of the building with a fever and pneumonia.

Worst place ever.Husband taken there left in room no rehab yet after 4 days ,over weekend, yes I know.Guess no one works weekends? Had I had a chance to look he never would have been taken there.Room is AWFUL!!!!FOOD AWFUL he refuses to eat it.I was ready to get him out the night he was admitted and finally after saying were leaving 4 people show up tell me how great their rehab is??Have not seen it yet, let him sit in hall way in wheelchair every time I go in.Most horrible thing I have ever had to do is leave my husband there.Oh they did not Have his Parkinson med so I had to take ours in for him!!!!!It is very important for a Parkinson patient to keep on a schedule of meds!!!No "amenities " I have seen.Love the responses if I say pushed button for bathroom help 10 min ago and person says I just got here !There are maybe 2 good nurses I have seen so far.NEVER LET A LOVED ONE GO HERE.Why does medicare even pay for these places?Do they not check up on facilities? So discussed with this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a friend there and each day he was there he got continually worse. It's like those people do not care about the patients all they are after is the money. They are out to do away with the elderly. Would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place for a loved one..

I couldn’t believe how wonderful the staff is. Especially Stella, Natalie(CNA), Joann (CNA), Lindsay(CNA), Ashley S., and Ashley L. Everyone went out of their way to help me. It’s better than the hospitals.

The nursing care of Kindred was more than competent. They were very caring, they helped my husband -- making sure that he took his medications timely -- and I would give them a very good to excellent rating. It was very clean. The physical therapy room could have been a little bit larger, but it was more than adequate.

I have brought my father to Kindred for care and therapy services. During his stay there, the nursing staff acted quickly to send him to the hospital due to his illness. The staff in Kindred were very professional, knowledgable, and caring. I am grateful to them and for all they did for my dad!

I am grateful for the care that my brother has receieved at Kindred. He had been given days to live from his doctor a year ago. He still battles with multiple diseases and processes that are complicated. I am thankful that Kindred has managed to keep him comfortable and as healthy as he can be while allowing him to have choices about his care. This is a great team of people who keep him living everyday.

The people in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation are professional but caring. They always go out of their way to make it feel like home. I would reccommend Kindred to anyone--long term stay or rehab. The food here is also great as well as the rehab staff. On August 2013, I was given a "everyday is a gift" end of life diagnosis. Kindred helped me live a year longer!

I want to thank the staff at Kindred Greenwood for the exceptional care they have given to my mother Eileen. My wife and I are so very pleased. You have answered all of our questions from the very start of admission to her health and well being every step of the way. Thank you so much!

I am a resident os this facility and I have received the worst care I have ever experienced,. I have sat in wet bandages for hours because there is not enough nurses to care for my condition, I understand that there is a nursing problem but why make the other people suffer because there is only one nurse for 19 people at night,

My grandmother has been a resident at Regency Place in Greenwood, Indiana for approximately 12 years. Her stay began after suffering a stroke. It's quite amazing the care that my grandmother received. The rehabilitation at Regency Place was terrific; they have an incredibly dedicated staff and have help my grandmother to make an almost complete recovery. However, she is still in need of care but thanks to Regency Place, she is able to maintain a great deal of independence. There is a beautiful aviary located by the dining hall that my grandmother loves. The activities are great a frequent and have a lot of variety too. My grandmother's favorite is the magician that comes in once a month. Regency Place also takes residents that are able out on field trips. They have been to museums, out to eat and frequent the local mall. All-in-all, it's a good place. The only real criticism I have is that the food could be better.

The care in Kindred is mostly adequate. The nurses are aids are all quite friendly and willing to help out. They seem to have taken a particular liking to my mother because she is younger; she is only in the home because she had the misfortune of inheriting multiple sclerosis. However, despite all of her handicaps, the nurses all seem willing to help out with her and her husband as much as they can.The only real area of concern is that the nurses seem to be hesitant to do anything about urinary tract infections. My mother has a catheter and a natural predisposition toward infections of the sort. It is not at all uncommon for us to get there and see that there is sediment in the catheter tube. However, despite this one fickle, neither of them seen to have a problem with the daily care that they receive. And my mother is able to be much more social than she was before moving in.
