"I was very impressed with Rose Senior Living at Carmel. The staff is friendly and professional. The building is immaculate. My mom loves the food. She's only been there a couple of weeks, but she's getting acclimated to their activities and she's made many friends there. There's a daily card game, exercise classes in the morning, run to a grocery store daily, they go to a movie theater, but they also have a theater on-site, there's entertainment there, and they have people come in and perform for the residents as well."

"Sunrise on Old Meridian was great. My mother will have a little one-bedroom there and she'd have someone reminding her to take her medication. It seemed like a good level of care for her and they have lots of social activities. We got to see the calendar for activities and it is very informative. It's a very impressive, beautiful facility. There's no odor. It was very clean, orderly, and beautiful inside. I met Julie and she was great. She was very patient. We got to see where they eat and there's a private dining room where you can reserve for family dinners. There's a snack area as well. The dining room was beautiful and spacious."

"Rooms were cozy, the model room was very nice. Two different sizes to choose from, I would prefer the larger one. There was a dog that roamed the Memory Care unit; great addition!"

"My mother is here. It's a great, very high-end community, and the care is very good. It's more like a hotel than an assisted living community. The food is excellent, like restaurant quality. The rooms are beautiful with 9- and 10-foot ceilings, very big windows, and high-end finishing. It's very nice."

"I was really impressed with Harmony at Avon's memory care unit. Cindy was the lady I spoke with, and she was exceptionally attentive in wanting to know about my mother-in-law and where she's at as far as her abilities. We had a really good conversation. I really liked their place. It was super nice. I would consider it kind of a Cadillac of all the ones I went to. It also was the most expensive, but it had a very nice facility there. The staff introduced me to several staff people there, and they were all very friendly. Their dining room was really nice. They used tablecloths, which was really, really nice. It felt like you're in a restaurant. It was really pretty."

They have a chef who is just wonderful. We ate lunch there, and it was a gourmet meal. I didn't particularly observe activities, but they were busy doing things. "American Village was nice. The dining room was very clean and nice. It was a small area. The staff was excellent and nice. The residents looked happy and nice. It seemed like they were enjoying the place. The rooms weren't as big as I thought they would be. "

"Sycamore Reserve is more for just senior living rather than assisted living and that suited me really well. I like the arrangement of the apartments and it's a nice place. It's a very nice place to live in. Everybody I met was friendly, they just didn't overdo their sales pitch and they let me reach my own decisions. They always explain how things are, and that was nice. They have 14 different floor arrangements in their apartments. Everyone I met on the staff was just real down-to-earth, polite and nice. They didn't mind joking with the residents, and they're very friendly. They were having some entertainment, a group was playing music and singing. Now, there weren't too many attending that. They were getting ready to set up the happy hour in the main lobby and were setting it up when I got there. The people were sitting around, talking and having a drink. When getting there, the traffic is the only drawback that I can see. It's located near a community hospital and that's where my doctors are affiliated with. They gave me a menu, they have a continental breakfast every morning, a nice lunch, and you can have whatever you want. It's just pretty nice. They had a nice dining room. On the upkeep, they had a cleaning service that I could get if I wanted it. Each one of the apartments had its own laundry, a washer, and a dryer, so you wouldn't have to hire anybody to do it for you. And I can have my grandkids come and visit, and they say I don't have to do any yard work. There's a nice swimming pool which is open when the city pools are open. And they haven't been open because of the COVID. The people taking the tour had to wear a mask. It was well kept up. One or two of the apartments that we've looked up were still under renovation. After residents leave an apartment they always go in and redo everything."

"I absolutely love Northridge Gracious Retirement. It was beautiful. It's gorgeous, it has a lot to offer. I was very impressed. I thought the entire facility was just gorgeous. The staff members were absolutely wonderful. The man who gave me the tour was wonderful, and all along the tour he would occasionally say, "Do you have any questions?" And I honestly didn't have any questions because he was so thorough in explaining everything as we toured the facility. The building was beautiful. I was very impressed with the facility. As soon as you walk in the door you just see beauty. It's beautiful."
