"We visited The Veraden. We went in person, but they had most of the place closed, so they couldn't show us everything. The room that they showed us looked good. It's a 2-bedroom, and I liked it, and it had a full kitchen. The person that accommodated us was good and knowledgeable. She just could not show us everything they had to offer. They did the best they could though, and it looked like a really nice place from what we saw."

"The staff members at Mon Abri are very wonderful, very nice, very kind, and very compassionate. My room is beautiful and it overlooks the lake. We make our own food. They have an exercise room, a clubhouse, and a safe room to protect you against tornados. They have activities outside, they go for seniors dinners, they have an exercise room, and they have people come in and do chair yoga and different exercises at no cost. My wife's birthday is coming up in July and we reserved the clubhouse for a party there (it didn't cost anything extra at all). It's in a nice area, and it's a nice, beautiful compound, and they're building another extension. They have get-togethers, card games, game nights, and dancing over at the senior citizen place, which is about a mile away."

"We enjoy it here at Sooner Station University North Park. The people are very helpful and very friendly. Our apartment is very comfortable. The dining area is a little bit small, but everybody is happy here. We have a place to sit and enjoy the meal and interact with other people. The facility is fairly new. There's gym equipment and an open area where you could watch movies or listen to a lecture. There's a variety of food. You have a wide choice for your meals. They also have art classes, yoga classes, and exercise classes."

"Silver Elm Estates Norman was an excellent facility. It was very clean and very new. The residents were very friendly. I liked how they had 3 meals a day. They had their own little backyards off of the apartments where they could take their little pets out. It was just nice. The staff who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable and respectful. They had a beauty shop, and they had a post office. They took the residents out to Wal-Mart on certain days, and they took them to their doctor's appointments on Fridays. They just had a lot of benefits."

"I am a resident of Paseo Avenues. You can eat here or cook your own meals, but there's no extra charge. The food is excellent. Other than that, I'm used to getting sandwiches every day. The rooms are very spacious. You have a huge walk-in closet. The bathroom is so big that you can get lost in it. I share a room with two other females. The staff is very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very experienced in what they do. They are very caring people. There is a playground on the side for families that come to visit with their children, and on certain days of the week, there are meetings on what to do, and what not to do. They do board games, exercises, video games, and stuff like that. It's very affordable."

"I toured Mt. Olive Senior Cottages. It was an apartment complex. The place was pretty good. The apartments were spacious. It was easy to get around inside, and the bathrooms were well-equipped. They had a clubhouse."

"We have a facility for my mother called Southern Plaza Retirement and the deposit has been put down in the independent care unit. They're getting a unit ready for occupancy this coming June. The facility was well kept and well organized. The staff was very knowledgeable and very caring. If one needed an additional level of care like assisted living or memory care, they had all three services. It was located in the Town of Bethany, which is a small town. It was within a block or two of the church that my mother attends. The pricing was competitive with other similar services and other facilities. It had covered parking and it wasn't far from my mother's sister and it's not far also from where we live here in Norman. Those were the major points. They have one- and two-bedroom units. The one-bedroom unit was satisfactory for her. They provided dining, so they had food preparation and housekeeping and an array of social activities that she could partake in. They have qualified staff if a medical need would arise. It ministered to her natural needs, emotional needs, social needs, and even spiritual needs. They have ministers that come in and minister if she would elect to attend. They are a top-notch quality facility. Considering the amenities, the quality of construction, and the condition of that, they do a top job. The complex spans a block. It just depends upon which entrance you take to come into the facility. It's also run by the Nazarene College, so the people that are managing it have a spiritual orientation. They understand that a person isn't just a warm body roaming the halls. They have a heart and they have an inner person which also needs ministry. They have that dimension because they're ministry-oriented. It's not just commercially oriented. They're not just trying to make a profit, although they have to make a profit. They have memory, assisted and independent, and they have different administrators for each level. We not only took a tour with Lisa in the independent living, but we took a tour also with Debbie in the assisted living because at that time, it appeared that mom might be moving in with her husband."

"Wellington Parke was very nice and clean. The staff all seemed very friendly, caring, and nice. The facility location was a little awkward, but we were able to find it in a very quiet area that's not that far from hospitals and shopping. Their rooms were very colorfully painted. They had an area going to the memory care that was like the yellow brick road and had flowers on each side of the hallway, which was pretty interesting."

"Mr brother is a resident here now. He's been through some difficult times and was ready to give up. Thank goodness we found them. Food, friends, & fun have really made a difference. Thank you ! "

"I like that Saint Ann Retirement Center has everything I want. You get three meals a day and a lot of things to do. The staff members are very kind and very helpful. The food is very good, too. The place is very clean and very nice. For activities, they have games like bingo, and they have people come in and put on activities like singing or playing instruments. They also show movies. It's very nice. It's very homey and very nice. You feel very welcome."

"I chose Superbia Retirement Village because I needed a place to be, and I had to be out of my other place. It's very nice. I like it a lot. Right now, my room is small because I'm in just a small efficiency, but it's very nice. My family went in and redid and re-cleaned everything. The staff is very knowledgeable. They have a library, video type thing, two laundromats, solariums, a hair salon, and a nail salon. There are long halls, and you get a lot of walking inside or outside. There are cottages and other places inside as well."

"My husband and I moved to Baptist Village because it was near our daughter. We had a one bedroom apartment. We had lunch and breakfast on Friday mornings. The food they served was all good. There were a lot of activities like dominoes, rubic's cube, sponsoring church every month, sushi night, bell choir and many more. I liked the price and I would recommend this place to others. "

"Hefner Mansions was very light and had a lot of windows; it was very relaxed. The staff member that showed us through the place was very friendly. I didn't go into their dining area, but I saw it. They mostly do things that you could do at a distance, or you could go and get games, puzzles, and stuff that you could do in your rooms, or you could take walks or exercise in the hallways. What sold me on it was that it was a very friendly place, and it just felt that it fit my personality."
