When they came in, they provided hospice care on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and I had a nurse show up on Tuesday and Thursday. I can really say that it's been a very good experience. There's a registered nurse that they send out and she explains everything that she's doing. She helps me be able to do stuff between visits, she shows me what to do and everything. She takes good care of my wife, she makes sure that there are no problems coming up. She does her blood sugar, her oxygen, her blood pressure, and heart rate. We got along well, we talked about her children, tried to make her comfortable like she was making us. They provide general checkups, if some emergency arrives, they tell us to call them right away, and they're 24-7. They do a wellness check on her well-being, but they don't provide us with anything like hygienic care, it's more medical. They explain everything to you, they have a folder and they go page by page, telling you what's gonna happen. If you have any questions, they give you a number so you can call them, and they're happy to help."

"My husband used Mercy Hospice. They would come and check on him, clean him, and provide compassionate care. They were understanding for him and provided compassion and understanding for me. They cared about his comfort, and they made me feel like they were very compassionate about how he was taken care of. I could not ask for any better care than what they had given me and him. I would recommend Mercy Hospice as a very compassionate and caring organization and nurses. They came to my house to take care of my husband. It was excellent care."

"We're using an RNA through Companion Healthcare-Edmond OK. We've used them for hospice, we've used them for home health, and now we're using them for where you have a companion. The other stuff was all through insurance, but this is a piece that we are choosing to pay for. Right now, he's receiving wound care, he has congestive heart failure so they check that and do the bloodwork. He fell and hurt his arm, so they brought an x-ray machine and x-rayed it. They're very attentive and conscientious. They work with the PCP. We also have a physical therapist. She's got the routine down and she's good at getting his strength back up. And reminding them of all the safety issues that he's got to be aware of to keep himself safe. So we just basically had an RN for wound care and physical therapy. They come 2-3 times a week, and they just stick with him until all the issues are resolved. And anything the doctor needs, x-ray, blood work, whatever, they coordinate that to come to the house and get it taken care of, so he doesn't have to drive. Any challenges I've had, I've just had to call and explain it to them and then they fixed it. Like when there's a nurse who didn't know how to do wound care, so we just called and they switched it immediately. And then yesterday, they didn't have him signed up for physical therapy, so the nurse called me today and said that she's going to get them on PC and therapy. They're very responsive. So I have absolutely no complaints or recommendations."

Right now, we're just trying to get physical therapy, occupational therapy, and some nursing care to gear her back, and see if we can get her independent again. I didn't have any problem with them even with the snowstorm, they all contacted and kept me updated. Their job needs a lot of flexibility because they go to people's houses, and a lot of people have other appointments, and they're really good at working with us, making sure that they come, and help with what they're supposed to, while also working within our timeframe and theirs. They're very flexible in that way, and very caring too. I have never had problems. I like them."
