"I'm in Grace Pointe. It was relatively smooth moving in. They came and took care of anything that needed taking care of. They've been responsive when I've contacted them about something. My apartment was clean and ready for me to move in. They call it a cottage. They've got a good social calendar, more things than I care to join in, but they have a good variety of activities. There's a little theater that everyone can use. There are at least four different gathering places where different events are held. They're easily accessible. There are two different lakes. Some bridges go across them so you can walk across. They stock them with fish, so apparently you can fish in them. You can have a little fenced yard around your cottage or not. You can have one installed at your expense. The apartment or cottage has a kitchen. They provide all the appliances. I did bring my own refrigerator, so they removed theirs. Each one has a washer and dryer, a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, a big walk-in closet, a pantry closet, a linen closet, and plenty of storage. There's an outside storage as well. I have a front and back porch. My particular unit had a doggy door in it, which was good because I have a dog. They are higher priced than a couple of others, but they're not as high as many others."

"As we drove through Laurel Springs Retirement Living, we saw seniors working on flower gardens. As we went through the clubhouse, we saw people playing a board game. The place was immaculately clean. There was no trash anywhere. Nothing was out of place. You could see that in each of the units, residents took a lot of pride in how their place looked. When we went in, I was very taken by the fact that you could get the floor changed to carpet or to wood or tile, whatever you wanted. My wife and I were very taken by their configurations of the various units and the choices available. There was actually a waiting list, which we understand. The manager was right on the answers to the questions. She was open and honest about anything. We felt very comfortable with her."

"I moved to Sooner Station University North Park and I like it a lot except for the nutritional aspect which needs to be changed. Overall, I am very happy here. The place is brand new. They have great activities and great personnel, but the upper management needs to fix some things. My room is gorgeous. The living atmosphere is very comfortable. It feels safe and uplifting. We have arts, exercises every day, games, a book club, and other excellent activities. We have a beauty salon and manicure, housekeeping every week, 3 meals a day, and concierge services. I can't give a perfect rating because of the dietary issues that need to be addressed. They serve too many starches. Let's just say it's not a healthy heart diet. They have very few servers too, but they said they are going to fix it."

"Me and my wife liked the layout. They were very informative. We liked that we had access to the outdoors without having to go to the lobby or each one of the apartments. They looked very clean. The staff was excellent. We were not given a meal. They have no swimming pool, but I think they had a library, an exercise room, and an entertainment room, but we did not see those. It felt homey."

"We have a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment at Creekside village. The people are really nice, friendly, and helpful, so we enjoy it very much. We've been here for one week. They have an exercise room, a library, computer room, and a swimming pool. They have a little lake out front with ducks, and the grounds are well-kept. They take care of maintenance problems promptly. They provide maybe three activities a week. The staff is excellent."

"Bradford Village was a very nice place and everyone seemed to be very satisfied. The staff and the apartments were good, and the assisted living was all private rooms. They have outreach, they go to different activities in the city, and they have regular activities during the day. They're very well organized and very well run. They just need additional staffing. "

"Touchmark at Coffee Creek seemed like a bright and happy place. The woman that I met named Susan was super helpful. She had all kinds of information for me. I was able to tour one of the apartments and walk through the entire facility. The community looked fairly well-kept. They were in the middle of changing the carpet out and readying the room that I was seeing for the next occupant. What stood out to me is that their dishwasher was raised. So, when you open the dishwasher, you're not having to reach down to the floor to empty it."

"Me and my wife made a decision to choose Tealridge and we are in the process of making the move. There were so many advantages of the place. One, it's a Christian community and we were pleased with the relationship that it has with the University there which is right next to the campus. We totally enjoyed the people that were there. "

"They were just friendly. We ate at Epworth Villa, and their food was satisfactory. They have bingo and different types of excursions that they take their residents on. "

"Grand Tapestry at Quail Springs is a very nice community. It's beautiful and has a lot of social activities. The staff is really good. My apartment is great. I have hardwood floors in the kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and living room. The bedroom is carpeted. It is handicapped accessible. Grand Tapestry has two pools, gas grills, a great room, and a bistro. It is great. We have five meals. During the week, there are refreshments. On Tuesday night, there is a get-together down in the great room and the bistro, and they serve a meal for that. They also serve meals for various other events. We have a lot of activities. It's a great place to live. For the services that we get, it's very reasonably priced."

"I toured Acclaim Living. First of all, they're just so wonderful. They had a sign welcoming us to come in and do a walk-through with them. I think the girl's name was Olivia, and she was just so fabulous. She showed me the facilities, and they're lovely, and the dining room is lovely. They have so many activities that you can participate in. The rooms are rather nice, but they are like small apartments, and that's not what I'm looking for at this moment. But I'm very happy that I went there to see what's out there. It was great. I loved it. They did have two-bedroom apartments, but the second bedroom was just very small. I know everybody has to downsize, but the closet space, etc. to me is very small. They have trips to different restaurants and shows. They have an arts and crafts room, a movie theater where you can even bring your family. So it's rather lovely. They offer all your meals. You can go down to the restaurant and you can have anything you want until 6 p.m., which is wonderful. I would recommend it to somebody else."
