"The Fountains at Canterbury was great. The lady had already spent two hours with us, and she had another appointment coming up, so we didn't tour the other facilities like the assisted living. I would recommend their independent living facility. The model rooms that we looked at were under renovation from people that had just moved out. The staff was very friendly, very knowledgeable, very helpful, and very professional. It had a little pond and fountains outside. It's landscaped very good. We went straight to the cottages because the staff had limited time because of her appointments. They only had one dining area for independent living, but we didn't get to see it. They didn't have as many cottages as the other one we visited, but the community was pretty good sized. They had independent living cottages and two high-rise apartments, the nursing facility, a memory center, and an assisted living standalone."

"Concordia Life Care was beautiful, state-of-the-art, and very nice, but it's a lot more expensive. Their apartments are a hundred square feet smaller than the one my parents are currently in, and there's only one closet. Even though the apartments are not all that great, the setting, facilities, and amenities area all first-class. The person who took us on the tour was really nice. They had everything you could ever want, library, games, gift shop, pool, buses, and so on."

"Epworth Villa is extremely nice, but it is a very expensive place. The woman I was searching a place for told me to go there. I did go in, and that is the place she wants to go, but there is a humongous difference in prices and facilities. You can't really compare them with other facility because there is not really a comparison. The rooms would be like your own homes or a five star hotel. It is huge with a full kitchen and granite countertops. It has appliances that are better than in my home. It is extremely nice. The place is very elegant, and the employees were friendly. But to be honest, they were probably not as helpful as the other facility. They have a swimming pool and an exercise room. When you walk in the door, there is something like a coffee house where you can get coffee or tea and pastries. They have a little table, and they have sitting areas where you can have a small group. There was like a men's group that were actually meeting and a table with couples playing cards. They have a gym and a clinic like in a doctor's office. They had cafeterias that were set like restaurant style. This place is extremely large, so there were several of them. In addition, they had what is almost like a mall area and another bistro back in there which I couldn't see because it was technically not open yet. The pricing was a little bit ridiculous, but other than the pricing, the place is phenomenal. It is extremely nice and very upscale. "

"I've been to Spanish Cove Retirement Village, it's here in Yukon, and it's an excellent facility. I go there often to join their activities. It's usually in their independent living side. The people there have great attitudes and they're caring. The dining is excellent and they keep things up and they have their own maintenance crew. They have everything like a heated salt-water pool, a library, and activities."

"Angel Cove is a wonderful alternative to larger facilities and institutions. The home is well maintained, clean and easily accessible for all the residents. The staff are well trained and focused on caring for the residents, not talking on cell phones or unable to be found. If you are not able to live independently, this is the next best home away from home. The food is tailored to the residents likes, and it always smells wonderful. This place is awesome!!!!! "
