"My mother was in Presbyterian Village for rehab. They did a great job and were caring and helpful. They talked about the problems with us and fixed them. Everything went well. They had very beautiful grounds, and the location was convenient."

"My parents live at Legacy Midtown Park Assisted Living & Healthcare Center. Because we (kids) don't live in Dallas, we rely on Legacy at Home staff to help with daily personal care, Dr appts, and ER/hospital visits. Last night my dad need to go to ER to get checked, but really needed someone to accompany him. Legacy at Home found him a caregiver (after 5pm!) that accompanied him to the ER and stayed with him until after midnight (and got him back home via Uber). She updated us all night and was terrific. We simply could not manage without Legacy at Home. Grateful for this service and the schedulers who always seem to be able to help us out in a pinch!"

"My father has been at Cottonwood Creek Healthcare Community for the past year with early stage dementia and I am very satisfied with the attention and care that he has been given. The directors are very informative and helpful and keep me updated on my father's health. The staff members that I've met are attentive and kind. I am confident they provide the best care. The facility has recently acquired a new activities director so I know this has been a fantastic addition to the program. It has definitely encouraged my father to get more involved with the other residents and it has really improved his experience."

"My mother is at The Forum at Park Lane. She was already in independent living with a sister placement and she just wanted to continue with them. She's doing well there and they're wonderful to her. They have been good to work with as we're helping her adjust. She loves the food and she's not loved the food everywhere she's been. That's important for a senior whose life is limited. They have incredible menus to choose from. They have helpers where she pushes the button and they come to help her and they're pretty quick about it. Of course, they could be busy with someone else and she might have to wait, but most of the time, they're quick and they come to help her with whatever her needs are. They have concerts every week and they have games and things. It's expensive, but it's not as expensive as some others we looked at."

"I toured Ventana by Buckner. It's very open, very well-staffed, and very interactive with the clients. The staff seems to be very hands-on. You also have the option to move to a higher level of care if needed. They have a beauty salon. They also have outside activities and pet therapy."

"I went to see Truewood by Merrill, Park Central. It was very nice. It was a very nice visit. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. It was very beautiful inside. The outside was a little difficult to navigate, but that may have just been me. But the inside was nicely appointed and there was great space. The facility itself and all the rooms I saw, were clean. It looked very inviting. The person who assisted me there was great. She knew her stuff, and she was very helpful and very thorough about what I was looking for. I did not have any of the food, but I did see the dining area. It was great. It was very nice, and the food smelled great. I didn't observe any activities, not at the time I went. Mostly I got to see some people with their dogs, but it was lunchtime, and that's pretty much what everybody that I saw was doing."

"Large apartments. Very good food with huge variety. Pleasant residents of varying ages."

"My husband is in The Traymore at Park Cities, and I think our experience has been pretty positive. The staff would stay on top of things. If there's a change in his medication or anything like that, they call me. Or when the doctor prescribes a new medication, I would get a text. I feel really good that they keep me updated on what's going on. My husband stayed there for respite because I had to have surgery. They offer physical therapy, they did trips and bake cookies every day. They also keep things out for the residents like coffee and tea every day. The food was very good. They chopped his food really fine for him so it'll be easier to chew. I'm going to rate this community a 5 because everybody is nice, friendly, and helpful. I like that I'm free to call when I need to talk to somebody like the nurse, and they always keep me updated. They have quite a few of those activities. As far as what they offer I would rate them a 5, even though my husband doesn't participate. The VA is the one paying for his expenses there."

"St. Joseph's is a very warm and caring facility. There are not a lot of extras, but is much more than expected for the price we pay. "

"They took care of my great-grandma and great-grandpa for several years. They had lots of activities for the residents to do and enjoy. They were always warm with everybody and welcomed family members. Very personal and caring staff. When my grandma told me she was putting my great-grandparents in a nursing home, I was hesitant, but this is an exception. I see absolutely no flaws at this place. Residents have a nice place to go to outdoors to enjoy, if they wish to. The door has a password so that the residents that are more in need do not escape and run out. The food in the nursing home is also surprisingly good. They also take the residents out to places on the bus a lot. All religions are respected at the nursing home. Again, a very friendly, personal, warm staff. The activities director, Paulette, is very sweet. I highly recommend this place! They will treat your loved ones with care. "

"I really liked the Overture Fairview 55+ Apartment Homes. It's a newer facility. They're all apartments. There are no cottages and they don't provide meals. It was all independent living. There's no step up to assisted living there or whatever and that could be a downside for me, but overall, I liked that facility and the staff was great. It's very modern and I liked the location a little better because it's right by a mall that is easily accessible by foot with lots of restaurants and things and I live close to that currently. I've looked at it twice in the last four years and I'm always impressed with it. They have card playing, swimming, aerobics going on, and movies in the movie room. They have the covered garages and like everywhere else, you pay extra. The apartments have a little better size. They were larger for the same money and they have a great layout."

"My husband has been a resident at Park Manor since November 2021. The food is pretty good, like home cooked meals. My husband doesn't participate in Activities but Karen is very good at her job. His room is cleaned, bed changed. The staff is very good to him. Juanita & Wanda have been with him from the beginning & love him. Zee is very good to my husband. She watches him when he is by the Nurses desk. Frea & Ayella & Mulu are wonderful with him. There are more staff members that are wonderful to him. I wish I could name everyone, but I can't remember everyone's name. They all treat him like family. They all call him PaPa. Thank you to everyone that deals with my husband. Great Facility & Staff 💞"
